Pastor Pat Mesiti a pastor of Hillsong Global Church and C3 Global Church doing what he does best. Pat to the world: “I’m a sex addict”.

“Fifteen years ago, Mr Mesiti was one of Australia’s most prominent evangelists. He had his own television show and had risen to become a national director of the Pentecostal church movement Australian Christian Churches.

But in 2001 the church leadership at Hillsong discovered he had been sleeping with prostitutes. He was stripped of his licence to minister. His first marriage fell apart.

“I was basically struggling with a sexual addiction,” he told the Christian magazine Sight in 2006. Two years later he told the New Zealand Herald he had “lost everything” following the revelations.

“I was so depressed that I couldn’t talk for two years. I struggled with my mental health.”

Mr Mesiti went on to become a motivational speaker and self-described “prosperity activist” who now instils people with “millionaire mindsets”.

“Not to brag, but I am a world-renowned prosperity and mindset coach with over 2 million of my books and products sold worldwide,” he says on his website.

“I am a sought-after business consultant to Fortune 500 companies and franchises worldwide on leadership, team building, wealth creation and personal development.”

His stated ambition is to create 10,000 millionaires within his lifetime and he has several speaking appearances slated for 2016.”

Sydney Morning Herald article below from 3 January 2016

Pastor Pat Mesiti, Hillsong’s Domestic Violence, Adultery, Credit Card Fraud and Sex Addiction pastor goes around openly saying, “I am a sex addict”.

In the Sydney Morning Herald article below it refers to this behaviour.

There are other articles on-line where Pastor Pat Mesiti, a pastor  of Hillsong and C3 Churches, has told media like the Castle Hill Times words to the effect, “I am a sex addict and because of this I can empathise and help people with sex addictions.

Please see an article in the Sydney Herald below. My comments about Pat Mesiti and his sex addiction follow.

“A former Hillsong Church minister who became a motivational speaker faces domestic violence charges after he allegedly assaulted his wife in a “fit of rage” on New Year’s Eve

Police from The Hills Local Area Command in Sydney’s north-west arrested Pat Mesiti at his home about 11pm on Thursday.

“The accused was heavily intoxicated and in a fit of rage over a family issue,” Sergeant Michael Plass said.

Mr Mesiti was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault. Police have sought an apprehended violence order on behalf of his second wife, Andrea. Mr Mesiti has not yet been required to enter a plea to the assault charge and it is not known if he will oppose the AVO application.

Mr Mesiti could not be reached for comment on Saturday.

Granted bail, he will face Parramatta Local Court on January 12. The police application for an apprehended violence order will be heard on the same day. Assault occasioning actual bodily harm carries a maximum five-year prison sentence.”

My comments:

Pat Mesiti evaded a more serious court result by pleading that he has “mental health issues”.

It is unlikely he would have gotten jail time, although if Pat breaches the two year Domestic Violence Order he is still serving in any way involving another bout of physical violence he’ll go straight to jail. This is Australian law in the State of New South Wales.

Pat Mesiti was convicted of one count of ‘actual physical assault’ against his second wife Andrea.

It seems that Pat has a short Italian fuse and loses his rag at times with his wives and I presume other people.

For over two decades Brian Houston head pastor of Hillsong, has stood by Pat. Indeed they are close friends. After all, as Brian Houston likes to say, “we’re only human”. Brian dragged out this famous excuse for all the dysfunctions in his own life, and at all Hillsong Churches, again, in his latest book “Live, Love, Lead”.

“Live, Love, Lead”. The folly of Brian. To choose a title the opposite of what he does. This is pure Brian Houston from the life of Brian.

So Pat Mesiti and Brian Houston are close buddies. They even holiday together in exotic ( and very expensive) places like Positano  on the famous Amalfi Coast in South Italy, like Capri, and the Cote D’Azur in France, a playground of rich and famous.

“It’s all jobs for the boys at Hillsong”. “Pastor” Brian Houston (right) on holiday in Positano South, Amalfi Coast, South Italy with “Pastor” Pasquale “Pat” Mesiti (left) the wife bashing sex addict preacher and Brian’s close friend. With Pasquale’s Italian relatives.

Why is Pat Mesiti a sex addict?

I’m going to write a a few articles on sex addiction, prostitution and pornography in this series. I empathise with people who struggle with sex addiction, including Pat Mesiti.

Men and women often look to multiple sexual relations, prostitution and pornography to satisfy something inside them that is missing.

Sex, in all it’s forms, is often used as a remedy for an existential loneliness and yearning inside for love, comfort and pleasure.

Pat Mesiti has openly shared how he had an unhappy childhood and how there was domestic violence, verbal abuse, alcohol abuse and so on, present in his home as a child. This situation is the opposite to what I grew up in and experienced as a child. My mother and father had there issues at times and would argue or have a verbal blue, but there was never actual physical violence. I never saw either of my parents strike each other or anyone else.

There are answers for Pat Mesiti’s sex addiction, but Hillsong cannot provide them as it has no answers. Hillsong doesn’t have the Blessed Holy Spirit. Hillsong does not obey the Holy Bible, allowing gays in positions of leadership and church ministry, which is a direct breach of the Holy Bible. There are many other dysfunctions at Hillsong and in Brian Houston’s life and the lives of other senior staff and Hillsong congregants, like Pat Mesiti. I have explained many of these in detail in numerous articles on this site.

Too many dysfunction at Hillsong to list in this short article.

I can’t comment further on why Pat Mesiti is a sex addict because I don’t know Pat Mesiti’s story in detail. Irrespective, most of Pat Mesiti’s sex addiction issues will stem from his unhappy and volatile childhood.
