Zen buddhism

Buddhists say that their religion is non-theistic. This may be the case but it is still a form of idolatry from the Biblical perspective.

If you’re a Christian then any form of Buddhism, even the most seemingly innocent practices of Buddhism like Yoga are off-limits.

Yoga has it’s origins in various forms of Hinduism and Buddhism.

Do you want to pick up demons? If you don’t want to then please be very careful.

I’ve travelled in Buddhist countries like Thailand and Japan.

I’ve watched people in those countries venerate and worship statues of Buddha and other idols.

The evolution of Buddhism and Hinduism in Asia has led to many variations of these religions and often the two religions have been fused into a sub-religion which is a hybrid of these two great religions.

Hinduism has 900 million adherents world-wide.

Buddhism has 300 million.

From a Biblical perspective each of these great religions is a breach of the second commandment.

2 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth”.

Exodus 20: 2-4

One can see from the above photographs that contrary to Buddhism being non-theistic, the adherents shown are worshipping something, namely a statue of a Buddha.

Clearly this is a breach of the above express commandment of the Lord.

If you want to walk in the favour and blessing of the Lord you must walk very carefully and obediently before Him, like Moses did.

God recognised Moses as his friend and ally.

Don’t expect the favour and blessing of the Lord if you flirt with other religions.
