Blog article of 26 October 2014.

“The king is dead, long live the King”

“And the Bishop said to the altar boy: “Come, sit on my lap”.

Pastor Frank Houston was the King and the Bishop at Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst in the 1980s and then at Waterloo from the late 1980s to 1998/99 when he retired.

Frank Houston. "I will never retire. I will die in the saddle".

Frank Houston. “I will never retire. I will die in the saddle”.

It eventuated that rather than being retired he was fired, and by his own son, now a King and Bishop in his own right.

Frank Houston’s offence: lifelong covert pedophilia and homosexuality while a prominent Assemblies of God clergy.

My name isn't Brian any more. I'm St Peter of the Holy Mount, Baulkham Hills. My father was called the "Bishop". Dad has retired. I'm greater than he. I'm now His eminence the Pope.

The life of Brian. My name isn’t Brian any more. I’m St Brain of the Holy Mount in Baulkham Hills, Sydney, Australia. Back in the day, my dad Frank was called the “Bishop”. Dad has been fired. I’m now far greater than Frank. I’m now His Eminence Pope Brain of Hillsong.

Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst in the 1980s was loaded with heaps of talent.

Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst was the first of many name changes of the current entity, ‘Hillsong City Campus’.

When we look at Christian Life Centre, Sydney, in the 1980s and Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophilia and homosexuality, it’s important to be objective.

Although Frank Houston did an unimaginable number of horrific deeds to innocent children, a lot of good has come out of CLC Darlinghurst.

The fruit of Frank’s life wasn’t all bad.

Pastor Frank Houston. One of his favourite sayings was "God is about church and people. I want you all to know that Hazel and i really love you all".

Pastor Frank Houston. “Friends, I want to let you into a secret today. Despite my thing about boys which was pretty bad, I’m not all bad. I’m one per cent good”.

Peter Aiton early CLC member in 1978:

“…I first attended Eastern Suburbs Christian Life Centre there were about 60-80 people when I started (as it was first known) in Feb 1978 when it was in Sherbrooke Hall in Double Bay until March 1982 at Darlinghurst, I made some long life friends I still see, I remember very well spending hour after hour, night after night cleaning & painting the Darlinghurst building along with many members at the time so we could move in and start the services it was the 3rd home for what was known as Sydney Christian Life Centre at that time, in the early days we all knew each other the church grew very fast.”

Tony Talifero (left) with friends at CLC early 1980s. Tony and Liz Talifero had a deaf singing ministry there, which was very progressive for that time.

CLC

Early Hillsong, then called CLC (Christian life Centre) Darlinghurst.

Here are some of the leading lights at CLC Darlinghurst who became pastors and some very talented musos and poets.

Pastors, musos and poets

Pastor Jeff Beecham

Successful evangelist for decades.

Identified with End-Time preacher Barry Smith and used his teachings in the 1980s.

Barry Smith- End-time preacher.

Organised ‘Catch The Fire’ meetings with the Arnotts in the 1990s.

Died last year in his new home, America.

Jeff Beacham. A real nice guy.

Jeff Beacham. Warrior for the Lord.

Pastor Laurie Murphy

Laurie and Heather Murphy early 1980s

Pastor of Hillsong City, Glebe Outreach Church, Sydney for decades.

Laurie is a great guy and a personal friend of mine.

He keeps trying to kill himself on motorbikes.

We worked closely together at CLC Darlinghurst in the 1980s among the down and outs of Inner City Sydney plus Uni students etc.

Laurie and Heather Murphy today

Pastor Sean Stanton

Sean and Linda Stanton early 1980s.

ACC (Australian Christian Churches pastor and teacher. Now in Queensland.

On the ACC National Executive.

Got quite a bit of air-time in the pulpit at CLC Darlinghurst.

One of Frank’s boys. (PS. spiritual boys)

Sean Stanton

Pastor Paul de Jong

Paul de Jong CLC Youth Pastor

Paul de Jong was CLC Youth Pastor. Frank knew the De Jong family from New Zealand and brought Paul over.

One of Frank’s golden boys (spiritual again).

Now prominent in Auckland as a pastor.

There seems to be a trend with hair-loss.

Pastor of “Life” Church, Auckland. That’s the shortest CLC/ Hillsong name change yet. Go Paul.

Paul and Maree de Jong

Paul and Maree de Jong

Trevor King

Very talented musician. Last sighted by me in Auckland, NZ.

Some years ago, I attended my parent’s church, Howick Presbyterian Church, one of New Zealand’s more successful Presbyterian Churches.

Its quite a big church by Presbyterian standards. I couldn’t see who was playing amazing piano. I thought it sounded like Trevor; and it was him. Still cheeky, perky and talented.

Fine head of hair. Looking good Trevor.

Trevor King

Geoff Bullock

Also extremely talented. Pioneered early Hillsong music at Baulkham Hills with Brian.

Still ministering.

Pastor Terry Appel

Terry Appel early 1980s

Northern Beaches, Sydney. Pastor of Christian Life Centre Mona Vale. Good hearted and successful.

Brickie turned the Lord’s soldier.

It’s good to see a CLC church that hasn’t had a name change, or multiple name changes.

What’s wrong with Christian Life Centre and what’s wrong with The Assemblies of God, which is one of the oldest and most successful Pentecostal Churches on the planet.

Why call it Australian Christian Churches?

I liked it when T.L. Osbourne said at Darlinghurst in about 1984, we should call CLC “Christian Love Centre”.

Best hair coverage yet.

Pastor Terry Appel. Brickie turned the Lord's soldier.

Pastor Gary Canham

Pastor of Northside Church, Bundoora, Victoria.

Gary was Frank’s business manager at CLC Darlinghurst. He was then an AOG missionary in Eastern Europe sent out by Frank.

Gary returned to Australia to pastor.

Always enthusiastic, very polite and kind-hearted. One of nature’s gentlemen. Like the hair-style Gary.

Pastor Brian Houston

Brian Houston on left in CLC church pantomime early 1980s.

The jury’s out on Brian, or may be out one day trying to decide if he’s guilty of hiding and failing to report his old pedo dad.

Guilty or not, it’s not very Christian to turn your back on the victims of the AOG/ ACC/ CLC/ Hillsong victims of abuse. Poor form Brian. Not Christian.

Receding hair-line. Hair transplants? No evidence of botox. Was Brian’s nose always that thin?

Pastor Brian Houston

Pastor Brian Houston. A troubled soul.

Pastor Jonathan Wilson

Jonathan Wilson and first family early 1980s.

Now living the dream in America, as a pastor.

Churches in Orange County and Santa Monica Beach, California.

Nice work Jonathan. Santa Monica is where I like to stay in my infrequent visits to LA. Love The Pier and watching the sights at Venice Beach nearby. Mailbu Beach up the coast. All good Jonathan.

Jonathan Wilson

Jonathan Wilson

with second wife

with second wife, Dianne

Jonathan Wilson’s first marriage fell over spectacularly in front of everyone in the 1990s. They married young and there were the usual problems.

Quite quickly soon after, Jonathan got entangled in a complex love quadrangle (new term) involving Jonathon, his daughter Besse and Dianne and Geoff, who were married.

I can’t recall the chronology, but the outcome was that Geoff and Besse got together, as did Jonathan and Dianne. All good. Life’s a beach.

Dr David Johnson head of IICM the CLC Bible College

David Johnson

David Johnson

David Johnson was a pastor and very talented classical violinist and orchestra conductor, Frank brought out from California.

David was brought out to set up the IICM church bible college. The full name was International Institute for Creative Ministries.

Here was a talent if honoured and used properly could do great things.

I think Frank was threatened by David and when David tried to question things to improve them, Frank cast him off.

See my blog article “Pastor Frank Houston. Part 13. Dr David Johnson- Frank Houston’s biggest hatchet job”, posted on 16 February 2013.

After being dismissed by Frank, Rev Gordon Moyes of the mega Wesley Methodist Church snapped him up. Wesley Methodist has the biggest welfare system in the Southern Hemisphere and a Bible College.

This is one of the main reasons I left CLC. I didn’t like Frank’s hatchet job on Ian Carlisle, who was struggling and his own son in law. When Frank did a severe hatchet job on David Johnson that was it for me.

David later returned to California.

Steve Coleman musician

Steve Coleman (on left) and Steve Atkins

Steve Coleman was one of the early CLC musicians who sang solos and played the guitar.

Steve liked singing Jackson Brown’s song, “I’ll be your handyman”.

Steve Coleman was convicted for pedophile acts against young girls.

Michael Driscoll

Michael Driscoll went back on heroin and died in Ireland a long time back. Suicide.

Michael was in Ireland trying to reconnect with his Irish, poetic and musical roots.

Michael Driscoll with Brett Whitely

Michael Driscoll with Brett Whiteley

Michael and Brett Whiteley were artistic soul-mates, and along with Wendy Whiteley, Brett’s wife, were heroin buddies.

Brett Whiteley was one of Australia’s greatest modern painters in the 1969s to 1980s. He died from a heroin overdose, alone in a motel in a Southern part of Sydney.

Michael became a Christian in 1981 through the influence of Jonathan Page and others.

Michael tried to convert Brett Whiteley but was unsuccessful.

Michael wrote a poetry book “Desert Rose”, with poems on the Australian Outback themes and Brett illustrated it.

Managing Michael Driscoll, when he was a home fellowship leader under my leadership, required the patience of Job and the love of Almighty God in big doses.

It wasn’t Michael’s fault. He came from a privileged background, was very complex, had a sense of entitlement, was extremely talented musically, in poetry and to a lesser degree in painting, and was in recovery from heroin abuse.

A sketch of Michael Driscoll by Brett Whitely for a gig, before Michael was a Christian,

A sketch of Michael Driscoll by Brett Whitely for a gig, before Michael was a Christian,

Michael was very zealous for God and led a lot of people, who others couldn’t reach, to Christ.

Michael was a bit of a Christian pied piper and had an eclectic following.

He was big on casting out of demons for a time. A lot of people coming off heavy stuff needed it.

Michael and his band, including Rick Jelliffe and Peter Fitz, put out a Christian Album in 1981. I can’t remember the name of the album but I think it had a sketch by Brett Whitely? on the front cover. Was it “Reel to Real”?

I could write a whole article on Michael and maybe I should. I’d probably need Rick Jelliffe’s help.

Michael had a good heart despite his complexities, which is normal for an artist of his talent. I handled Michael patiently and we had some great times in the home fellowships etc.

Michael found it hard to relate to Frank and his ways. Maybe he sensed something wasn’t right.

Bob Harris

Bob Harris was another talented artist who became a Christian in the early 1980s. In this case, a published poet who won awards. He died in 1994. Heart issues.

Michael and Bob were both home fellowship leaders under my leadership in the early 1980s.

Terry and his wife, Deidre, attend Hillsong Glebe Outreach Church. Laurie and Heather Murphy are the pastors.

Terry is still doing a gospel slot on Radio Skid row. He’s been doing it for over 30 years. A faithful servant of the Lord.

A very talented gospel muso. Go Terry.

Terry’s knowledge of old gospel music is encyclopaedic.

Also a home group leader under me in the 1980s.

Terry used to fall asleep when I was leading the bible study so I figured the only way to keep him awake was to make him a leader.

Tony Venn-Brown

Tony Venn-Brown was a successful AOG evangelist who went out from CLC Darlinghurst to do great things.

Tony left his wife and children and went gay.

Hi there. i'm gay.

Fruity. “Hi there. I’m Tony and I’m gay”.

gay rights boys

Gay rights bros

Tony has some kind of Christian gay rights thing going.

I read somewhere he believes the Church will eventually accept gay marriage and the right to be gay at some time in the future.

Tony thinks it will happen maybe in 30 years, after his life-time. Come on Tony, you can live to 90. (P.S. watch the HIV though)

Sorry if I missed you

I can’t think of anyone else from the CLC Darlinghurst days who is a pastor, successful muso, poet or famous or infamous.

If you think you’re amazing or important and I missed you out, don’t worry. I didn’t make it on to the list. Missed the pastor gig, only got to grade 3 piano and my poetry is for readings at the Bellingen Poetry club.

Today Brian Houston, George Aghajanian, Sean Stanton, Wayne Alcorn and Keith Ainge of Hillsong and the ACC fronted the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse by legal subpoena.

Sean Stanton ACC Treasurer and Hilllsong pastor under Frank Houston in Darlinghurst in the 1980s

For Brian Houston (Pope Brian of Hillsong) it was a tidy little snow job and harmless house-keeping job to offer pithy helpful utterances about the amazing state Hillsong and the ACC are in in regard to internal systems to prevent child sexual abuse.

Francis “Frank” Houston, the pedophile founder of Hillsong

It’s a bit like shutting the door when the horse has bolted given Brian’s dad was a lifelong secret pedophile who sexually abused hundreds of little boys and young teen males, all the time pretending to be a great Christian pastor and a great evangelist.

I’ll write some more about this latest visit of Hillsong and the ACC to the Royal Commission.

Brian’s next trip to court will be to a real one to be tried for pedophile protection crimes.

Donald Elley of Bellingen:

This blog article of mine is from 12 December 2014, just after Brian Houston and top Hillsong and ACC leaders appeared at the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

I was feeling pretty fired up about Frank Houston’s crimes against children and his son Brian Houston’s cover-ups.

Blog article 12 December 2014

Today is day 46 of 100 days which I’ve declared to mourn for, love, honour and pray for the forgotten and discarded boy victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s sexual abuse.

Victim AHA. Sydney, Australia.

Victim SA1. Adelaide, South Australia.

Victim WNZ1. Wellington, New Zealand.

Victim ANZ1. Deceased.

His brother says Frank Houston’s horrific homosexual abuse of ANZ1 in an Auckland, New Zealand hotel, as a teen, caused incredible trauma in ANZ1, and caused him to suicide.

ANZ1 lost all faith in life and human beings as a result of the abuse. ANZ1’s brother was planning to go to Sydney and kill Frank Houston after his brother suicided. I’m glad he didn’t. Then the pedophile scum Frank Houston may not have been found out and confessed five years before he died.

But the crafty old demonic fox pulled the wool over his son Brian’s eyes and gave him a little tiny confession. Enough to keep Brian away. Sad. Very sad.

The pedophile Frank Houston

How could a holy Assemblies of God/ Hillsong/ Australian Christian Churches, Lower Hutt Assemblies of God, Hillsong Sydney, Christian Life Centre Darlinghurst, New Zealand Assemblies of God Superintendent, Australian Assemblies of God President, Founding Father of Hillsong, father of Pastor Brian Houston of Hillsong, father of Judith McGhie, father of Graeme Houston who doesn’t go to church (I wonder why), father of Beverly Houston  father of Maureen Bradshaw, spiritual father of Pastor Paul de Jong of “Life” Assemblies of God Church, Auckland, New Zealand, father in the faith to so many be a self-confessed pedophile.

Quite a resume Pastor Frank Houston. You son of hell. You Prince of Belzeebub, Lord of the flies. You rotten pedophile scum.

The victims

These victims of William Francis “Frank” Houston’s sexual abuse as little kids are men who are now in their 50s to 60s. ANZ1 was older. A late teen.

Frank Houston was worried

Before Pastor Frank Houston died in 2004, he was extremely worried about how Almighty God would feel about the horrific sexual abuse he’d done to boys, teens and older males throughout his life on earth, while masquerading as a holy pastor.

A lot of people are very upset with Pastor Frank Houston and his relatives.

Jennifer Marshall mentions some of these relatives and associates, in her comment below.

I don’t know who Jennifer Marshall is, but she is extremely upset with the Houston’s and the McGhies.

Here are copies of emails to Brian and Bobby Houston, which were copied to various churches associated with Helen McGhie.

Jennifer Marshall posted this email she sent them, in the comment’s box on an article on this site on 1 December, 2 weeks ago.

I don’t know Helen McGhie at all, but from comments folks have made on this site, she is the mother of Steve McGhie who is married to Frank Houston’s daughter Judith.

She thinks she is a prophetess. God help us.

But Helen McGhee sounds much more dangerous from my sources. And evil.

Helen McGhie with her husband. Married 50 years.

I do know Steve McGhie, Helen McGhie’s son, and Judith, his wife and Frank Houston’s youngest daughter.

Steve McGhie. A New Zealander. Likes fishing and hunting.

Steve McGhie. Another Frank believer and protector. Brian Houston’s goof-ball brother-in-law.

I watched this couple, Steve and Judith McGhie, shield, protect and support Frank Houston closely at Christian Life Centre Waterloo in the late 1990s, and I presume until his death in 2004.

I haven’t been to a Hillsong Church since 2000. I would never go near the place. Full of false demons, counterfeit Jesus-only Christ, money, deceit and prosperity idols and no Father Love or baptism in the Holy Spirit power.

Hillsong Church. Part of the Great Whore of Babylon: No gifts of the Holy Spirit. No awe of God. No emphasis on holiness. No helping of the victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s abuse. Blood guilt for shielding a self-confessed gross pedophile Pastor Frank Houston and not reporting him to the Police. No Glory of God. No Shekinah Presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit Lampstand of the Book of Revelation gone. At Hillsong the Holy Ark of God’s Presence is upturned, smashed and trodden on, holy offerings pillaged, no fear of the Judgement to come and no Pentecost.

Phillip Powell

From the 1980s, Phillip Powell, an Assemblies of God (AOG) watch type man, who is a former AOG Pastor, was speaking out about Frank Houston’s pedophilia and doing things like faxing accusations to the Christian Life Centre/ Hillsong Church office in Sydney, Australia.

Frank Houston deceptively brushed them off as malicious attacks, but eventually this, and his guilt from a rampant homosexual affair with his holy worship leader Peter Lawton, and these faxes and open allegations, got to him and in the mid 1980s he retreated to his home in Gordon, North Shore, Sydney, bought with church money, for about two years. He complained of some kind of health issue and didn’t come to church.

I was concerned for him as a young man, and visited him at his home out of care. I had no idea then what was bugging him. What was going down.

Hazel, his wife, said she didn’t think he’d see me. She went to get him, but he wouldn’t come out.

The crafty old pedophile was on the rack, but he wasn’t about to give in and come clean and get shamed. Ever.

What pedophiles are like

That’s what pedophiles are like.

My dad, the most qualified pastor in New Zealand in Christian Pastoral Care for decades, who lectured as a professor at the New Zealand Bible College in the 1970s (now known as Laidlaw College) in Pastoral Care, Church Missionary Work and Evangelism, tried to help pedophiles at times during his Pastoral Care Ministry.

Dad came to the conclusion they were incurable.

Dad confronted pedophiles with photographs they’d taken, or their pedophile associates had taken, of them abusing children, but they still wouldn’t admit to doing pedophile acts. Can you imagine it. “This is a photograph of me doing pedophilia, but I didn’t do it”.

The average pedophile abuses 250 children in their lifetime. Pedophiles are mainly men, although there is a small percentage of women.

Pedophiles are the most evil of evil people. Worse than murderers, because they murder kids souls and try to take them to hell where they’re heading.

abuse 3

I also understand that Helen McGhie believes she is a prophetess and sustained Frank Houston in power in the 1960s and 1970s at Lower Hutt Assemblies of God Church, New Zealand, where Pastor Frank Houston abused at least 6 little boys aged about 8-10. There are many many more victims from Lower Hutt AOG. I sense it.

I understand she had a leadership role after Frank Houston left Lower Hutt AOG to establish a church in Sydney in 1977.

Any observations or additional information would be welcome.

If you wish to tell me something anonymous or confidential, please leave a message for me to contact you in the comments box on any of my articles.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his close friend Brian Houston at the annual Hillsong Conference in Sydney in July 2019.

Brian Houston head pastor of Hillsong Global Church. Brian Houston is a pathological liar, a con-artist and financially and morally corrupt. One of the biggest scammers and con-artists in world-wide Christendom. Hillsong and Brian Houston are to be avoided at all costs. Please don’t go there. Please don’t go to Hillsong Conferences. And whatever you do, don’t give Hillsong any money or buy their spiritual corrupt product. Hillsong Church was birthed in Hades, founded by a lifelong secret pedophile and spewed on earth as one of the great End-Time Apostate movements to mock and deceive many souls.

Brian Houston and humility are not two words which sit comfortably together in the same sentence.

One of the major fundamental problems of the Pentecostal Church in Australia and New Zealand, and in fact world-wide, is the problem of ego-tripping pastors and their cult followers, which is endemic.

In Australia, Brian Houston and Phil Pringle, head pastors of Hillsong and C3 churches respectively, are the biggest proponents of it. They are the tweedle dee and tweedle dum of uncontrolled Pentecostal egotism in Australia.

Why is this? Brian Houston and Phil Pringle have built up an image and mystique about themselves and in a codependent fashion their spouses, the pastors and leaders and the faithful around them have empowered and fostered the legend.

They are both too busy to sit down quietly by the beach, a river or a peaceful lake and try to figure out where it all went wrong.

Phil Pringle of C3 Global Church based in Sydney Australia. Phil is an extreme errant narcissist and a false prophet.

I have had some dealings with Phil Pringle and I have no personal beef with him. For Phil Pringle, the purity and simplicity of faith in Christ has been overwhelmed by the organisation he has created.

In 1983 I was building the Bible College at Christian Life Centre (CLC) Darlinghurst (the second name for Hillsong) under Frank Houston. Phil Pringle came by and did a tour with Frank Houston. Phil Pringle was boasting to Frank Houston and the tour group, “I’m going to build an amazing church and bible college. One of the biggest in the world. I’m going to do this and that. I going to do great things for God.”

It all sounded O so egotistical and boastful Phil has gone on to do this.

I was reading a script of a talk Phil Pringle gave before he handed over the microphone to Pat Mesiti on the day Pat was restored to ministry four years after he got caught using his Hillsong credit card to pay for prostitutes and for cheating on his wife with a young worship leader, Andrea, who he’d married.

Andrea Mesiti in 2014- on holiday with the Houstons and the Hillsong inner-circle in Positano South Italy. Two years later in 2016 Andrea divorced Pat for cheating with loose ladies behind her back and for committing domestic violence on her. Hillsong and C3 “Pastor” Pat Mesiti was convicted for common assault on Andrea in 2016. But still Brian Houston and Phil Pringle allow Pat Mesiti to preach in their many churches.

Pat and Andrea in Positano South Italy

Pastor Pat Mesiti a pastor of Hillsong Global Church and C3 Global Church doing what he does best. Pat Mesiti openly says the world: “I’m a sex addict”.

On this Sunday celebrating Pat Mesiti’s “restoration”, Phil Pringle was waxing lyrical about how Pat Mesiti had reformed and so on. I doubt if Phil spent much time with Pat. He’s too busy. Pat doesn’t seem to have changed. If anything he’s greedier for money than ever. Maybe he got a double portion of both Phil and Brian’s prosperity greed anointing.

Phil Pringle was saying how he used to feed the poor and hand out pizzas in parks for the downtrodden, but now he’s so busy. These memories of handing pizzas out to the poor are forty years or more stale. Phil Pringle has an ideal of being with the poor and downtrodden but its only a sentiment, long washed away by busyness and rampant materialism.

Phil Pringle head pastor of C3 Global Church (on left)- used to hand out pizzas. Now hands out false prophecies and false doctrines.

It’s the same with Brian Houston. Brian has never been short on self-confidence and ego. In Brian I can’t see any of the basic fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Take “Love” for example. My personal experience of Brian Houston is that the only person he loves is himself and maybe his wife and kids. He’s a very lonely and broken person inside. If you look at these photos there’s sadness and bewilderment in his eyes. Vacuous.

I hope you don’t think I’m being to hard on Brian Houston but if you know him like I did you’d find he’s not a very nice person.

The fruits of Brian are unrestrained and unapologetic ego, put-downs, a smart-alec mouth, bullying, unadulterated arrogance, wilfulness, shameless dismissal and neglect of the poor and downtrodden- his dad’s boy sex abuse victims, blatant dismissal of constructive criticism and unrestrained greed.

Brian Houston ego 3 Brian Houston ego 4

If you listen carefully to Brian’s sermons they are soaked in narcissism, ego and pathos. Brian is a very transparent read.

Simeon Beckett, the Royal Commission barrister at the Royal Commission for the Hillsong matter openly told the Press in December 2016 that he is recommending that Brian be charged for not reporting a pedophile and for sheltering a pedophile, his old pedophile dad, who was a life-long pedophile and abused hundreds of little boys.

Brian’s father, Frank Houston, was a secret pedophile his whole life, while pretending to be a Christian pastor. In his 20s the pedophile Frank Houston saw Christian ministry as a suitable shield and cover to conduct his pedophile activities.

First he tried the Salvation Army Church, and he became a Captain, but they were on to him and kicked him out, probably because they caught him abusing little boys. He definitely got kicked out. Does anyone have proof or know? It’s such a long time ago.

Next, the New Zealand Assemblies of God was the perfect cover for a pedophile because it wasn’t in anybody’s radar for a Pentecostal pastor to be a pedophile. There are pedophile pastors in Pentecostal Churches. I know of four.

  1. Frank Houston the founder of Hillsong and head of the New Zealand Assemblies of God (AOG) from 1965 to 1977.
  2. A Queensland Australian Christian Churches (ACC) Youth pastor examined by the Royal Commission
  3. Wayne Hughes the head of the New Zealand Assemblies of God (AOG) from 1985 to 2003. He resigned after being accused on abusing a teen. I don’t know if the teen was male or female.
  4. Jim Williams, Wayne Hughes predecessor as head of the New Zealand Assemblies of God from 1977 to 1985. Jim Williams sexually abused four twelve year old girls at Heathcote AOG in Victoria Australia in the 1960s. One of the victims Caroline Andrews contacted me and asked me to publish her story of what Jim Williams did to her na her friends. It has affected he whole life badly, influenced the breakdown of her marriage and to this day she has trouble believing in allowing God. It is normal for child sexual abuse victims to be affected in this way, or worse.

If you know any dirt on Brian Houston, especially sexual dirt, but also moral and ethical, please write to me in the comments box below. Tales of greed and scams. Whatever. One of my readers accused Brian of having an affair with a member of his congregation “Ruth” circa 2003. I haven’t managed to verify if this allegation is true.

If you want your communication to be confidential simply ask me to contact you by email. I can see your email address when you comment.

Wayne Hughes admitted to being a pedophile but only once.

Frank Houston admitted to being “out of control” as a child rapist in the 1960s to 1970s when he was in his prime in his 40s to 50s.

The pedophile pastor Frank Houston, who founded Hillsong in Sydney Australia in 1977, two years before his son Brian came to Australia.

And Wayne Hughes wouldn’t say if it was a boy or a girl. Does anybody know? Please share any info in the comment’s section at the bottom of any article on this site if you do.

Wayne Hughes

From Wikipedia

“10th General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand

In office 1985 – February 2003

Preceded by Jim Williams

Succeeded by Ken Harrison

Wayne Hughes was a New Zealand Pentecostal minister.

Until early 2005, he was the Senior Pastor of the Takapuna Assembly of God in Auckland.”

The thing about pedophiles is that they’re extremely crafty deceivers and liars. When questioned about their pedophile acts, first they will find a reason not to turn up at the interview. “I’m sick”. “My grannies dying”. “I’ve got to see the doctor”. Whatever.

In Frank Houston’s case Keith Ainge was given the task of trying to deal with Frank Houston after he was caught out abusing kids to try to get more information, repentance and so on. Frank told Keith Ainge, “There’s no point in talking about it (pedophila), I’ve retired”.

In 1998 AHA’s aunt, little old lady Pastor Barbara Taylor, from Mt Druitt, a battler suburb in Western Sydney, was pestering NSW AOG President John McMartin about the fact that Frank Houston had sexually abused boy victim AHA. Frank  Houston had long denied accusations of being a pedophile.

Little old Pastor Barbara Taylor of Mt Druitt in Sydney’s Western Suburbs being escorted into the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in October 2014. Pastor Barbara Taylor explained how Pastor Brian Houston had stonewalled her, ignored her, sidelined her and belittled her for fourteen long year from 1999 until the Royal Commission in order to shelter and protect his father, his reputation as the great Brian Houston and Hillsong reputation, which is his baby.

Remarkably Frank Houston was first accused of pedophilia in the 1960s, almost 40 years earlier, at Lower Hutt AOG.

As head pastor there he fervently denied child sex abuse on six 10 year old boys but the Board wasn’t convinced. They thought he did it and made a pay-out. Sounds weird by today’s standards. Frank Houston was never charged by the police in New Zealand and from 1977 in Australia for pedophile crimes.

Pedophilia and things like teen pregnancy were hush hush taboo subjects in the 1960s to 1970s.

After the accusations, the crisis and the payout, Frank Houston turned on his accusers and drove them out of Lower Hutt AOG or they left in disgust.

Stan and Sheila Carter were amongst the dissenters. They left angry, bewildered, frustrated and disillusioned. I knew Stan and Shelia in the late 1970s at Kapiti Christian Centre on the Kapiti Coast north of Wellington, New Zealand’s capital.

Frank Houston was always extremely cruel to dissenters or anyone who upset him. If you read my articles about his hatchet job on his Pastors Ian Carlisle and David Johnson in the early 1980s at Christian Life Centre Sydney you’ll get the drift.

Try these articles:

“Pastor Frank Houston. Part 13: Dr David Johnson- Frank Houston’s biggest hatchet job”, published on 16 February 2013.

“Hillsong. Pastor Brian Houston. Part 39. Pastor Frank Houston Part 5: Frank Houston’s sado-masochistic tendencies”, published on 5 November 2014.

This article was first published on 5 November 2012. I just noticed that I wrote these two articles exactly two years apart on 5 November 2012 and 5 November 2014.

The article published on 5 November 2012 is entitled, “Pastor Frank Houston Part 5: Frank Houston’s sado-masochistic tendencies”.

The modus operandi of Brian Houston is no different to his father, who he modelled off very closely. Any dissent towards Brian Houston is met with brutality.

Brian Houston is very much totally in control at Hillsong, as is his wife Bobbie. They rule with an iron fist. Everybody is under the thumb.

Bobbie and Brian Houston. Codependent narcissistic bullies.

Only the hardy, accommodating, submissive, deferring and cunning like Joel A’Bell, the embullent George, Brian’s long-time business manager and Nabi Saleh, the founder of Gloria Jean coffee, survive.

Have you ever tried Gloria Jean coffee? It’s disgusting. Too creamy and synthetic tasting. What do they put in it? Star Bucks is much better if there’s only franchises available.

It’s the same at C3 with Phil Pringle. Any dissent is stamped out immediately. Phil Pringle is equally dominating and non-consultative. It’s his way or the highway.

This strong extremely dominant leadership situation is not unusual in Christendom. General Booth, the founder and leader of the Salvation Army was renowned as a very strong leader and a dictatorial person.

Outside the Church you have famous leaders like Napoleon. I hesitate to use the word ‘great’ in respect to Napoleon because, like Hitler, he thought nothing of losing 40,000 men in battle for his cause.

Napoleon commented, “The young men march into battle with their bright crisp uniforms and sparking medals to the beat of the drums but what bloody carnage there is at the end of the day”.

It’s the same for Christian Pentecostal leaders like Brian Houston and Phil Pringle. There is a huge attrition rate for the cause.

SPENGLER

Napoleon’s march on Russia:

Do dictators always fail?

By Spengler

“Two hundred years ago on Sunday, Napoleon crossed the Memel River into Russian territory with 600,000 men, the biggest army ever assembled. Only 16,000 came back to the Memel on the following December 16 after a terrible retreat, joined later by a few thousand stragglers. A million soldiers on both sides perished during those six months, a slaughter hitherto unimagined, along with up to half a million Russian civilians left to starve by the foraging of two enormous armies.

The anniversary of Napoleon’s march into Russia should be an occasion for democracies to take stock of their own vulnerability. Perhaps the most disturbing thing about the affair is that so many followed Napoleon into Russia in the first place, and that even more followed him after the Russian catastrophe. The young men of Europe fought for him until there weren’t enough young men left to fight. What is it that motivates a generation to commit collective suicide in the service of a malicious leader?”

I’m St Peter of the Holy Mount, Baulkham Hills. My dad was called the “Bishop”. Dad has been fired. I’m now greater than he. I’m now His Eminence the Pope of Baulkham Hills.

Here are some of the leading lights at CLC Darlinghurst who became pastors and some very talented musos and poets.

Pastors, musos and poets

Pastor Jeff Beecham

Successful evangelist for decades. Died last year in his new home, America.

See parts 32-34 of this series for more on Jeff.

Jeff Beacham. A real nice guy.

Jeff Beacham. Warrior for the Lord.

Pastor Laurie Murphy

Pastor of Hillsong City, Glebe Outreach Church, Sydney for decades.

Laurie is a great guy and a personal friend of mine.

He keeps trying to kill himself on motorbikes.

We worked closely together at CLC Darlinghurst in the 1980s among the down and outs of Inner City Sydney plus Uni students etc.

No photo found but he’s still good old smiling affable Laurie. P.S. some hair loss.

Pastor Sean Stanton

ACC (Australian Christian Churches pastor and teacher. Now in Queensland.

On the ACC National Executive.

Got quite a bit of air-time in the pulpit at CLC Darlinghurst.

One of Frank’s boys. (PS. spiritual boys)

Sean Stanton

Sean and Linda Stanton

Pastor Paul de Jong

One of Frank’s golden boys (spiritual again). Now prominent in Auckland as a pastor.

There seems to be a trend with hair-loss.

Pastor of “Life” Church, Auckland. That’s the shortest CLC/ Hillsong name change yet. Go Paul.

Paul and Maree de Jong

Trevor King

Extremely talented muso.

Northern Beaches, Sydney. Pastor of Christian Life Centre, Mona Vale.

Pastor Gary Canham

Pastor Gary Canham

Pastor Brian Houston

The jury’s out on Brian, or may be out one day trying to decide if he’s guilty of hiding and failing to report his old pedo dad.

Guilty or not, it’s not very Christian to turn your back on the victims of the AOG/ ACC/ CLC/ Hillsong victims of abuse. Poor form Brian. Not Christian.

Receding hair-line. Hair transplants? No evidence of botox. Was Brian’s nose always that thin?

Pastor Brian Houston

Pastor Brian Houston. A troubled soul.

Pastor Jonathan Wilson

Dr David Johnson

David Johnson

David Johnson

David Johnson was a pastor and very talented classical violinist and orchestra conductor, Frank brought out from California.

When the old pedo did a severe hatchet job on David Johnson, an innocent lamb, that was it for me.

Other Musos, poets, famous and infamous

Steve Coleman girl fiddler pedo

One of the early CLC (Hillsong) musos.

Liked singing Jackson Brown’s song, “I’ll be your handyman”.

Bob Harris

Bob Harris was another talented artist who became a Christian in the early 1980s. In this case, a published poet who won awards. He died in the late 1980s. Heart issues.

I can’t find a photo of Bob.

Michael and Bob were both home fellowship leaders under my leadership in the early 1980s.

More on Michael Driscoll

Brian Houston. Come to me.

Brian Houston head pastor of Hillsong Global Church. A pathological liar, a con-artist and financially and morally corrupt.

One of the major fundamental problems of the Pentecostal Church in Australia and New Zealand, and in fact world-wide, is the problem of ego tripping pastors and their cult followers which is endemic.

Phil is an extreme errant narcissist and a false prophet?

I have had some dealings with Phil Pringle and I have no personal beef with him. In fact, of these two men I feel that Phil Pringle has more of a heart for God. Yet for Phil the purity and simplicity of faith in Christ has been overwhelmed by the organisation he has created.

I’m going to do this and that. great things”

Pat openly says the world: “I’m a sex addict”.

Phil Pringle was saying how he used to feed the poor and hand out pizzaz in parks for the downtrodden, but now he’s so busy. These memories of handing pizzas out to the poor are 40 years or more stale.

My personal experience of Brian is that the only person he loves is himself and maybe his wife and kids. He’s a very lonely and broken person inside. If you look at these photos there’s sadness and bewilderment in his eyes. Vacuous.

As head pastor there he fervently denied pedophilia on six 10 year old boys but the Board wasn’t convinced.

After the accusations, the crisis and the payout, Frank turned on his accusers and drove them out of Lower Hutt AOG or they left in disgust.

He is very much totally in control at Hillsong, as is his wife Bobby. They rule with an iron fist. Everybody is under the thumb.

Only the hardy, accommodating, submissive, deferring and cunning like Joel A’Bell, the embullent George, Brian’s long-time business manager and Naby Saleh, the founder of Gloria Jean coffee, survive.

Phil Pringle 8 Phil Pringle 7 Phil Pringle 6 Phil Pringle 4 Phil Pringle 3 Phil Pringle 2 Phil Pringle 1

Today I’m going to interview the three major players in the Australian Pentecostal scene in the past thirty years.

First Frank Houston the founder of Hillsong otherwise known as the Rock Spider Saint Francis Pedophile Houston, the father of Manipulation, Sado-Masochism, Human Cruelty and Despair and the being with a rope around his neck tied to a large millstone in a cave in Hades waiting for the Great Judgment.

I’m going to ask the same set of questions to each interviewee.

Francis “Frank” Houston, the pedophile founder of Hillsong

Rock spider. Clink term for pedo.

Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Mr Francis Rock Spider (jail term for pedophile), who do you think was the greatest, you or Napoleon Bonaparte?” Frank the Rock Spider: “Me of course”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Why is that”. Frank the Rock Spider: “Napoleon Bonaparte didn’t fulfil his destiny and died young on a remote island. I fulfilled my mission on earth and died old and satisfied”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “What is it you like about being in Hades?”. Frank the Rock Spider: “It’s not bad actually, better than I thought. I can hear screams and torment in the distance. Sometimes it gets so hot. We need air-conditioning. Otherwise it’s fine. I’m with my friends. We’re one big family of rock spiders and rock spider demons. Nice company. I feel at home”.

Donald Elley of Bellingen: "Welcome to this, my blog site, Pastor Phil Pringle". Dr Phil Pringle: "Thank you Donald Elley of Bellingen. Nice to be here". Donald Elley of Bellingen: " Who do you think is greater, you or Napoleon Bonaparte?" Dr Phil Pringle: "Me of course". Donald Elley of Bellingen: "What is it like being the head of over 100 hundred churches?" Dr Phil Pringle: "Like being God". Donald Elley of Bellingen: "Do you believe Dr Yongghi Co was innocent?' Dr Phil Pringle: "I think people, including the whole South Korean legal system have judged Dr Paul Young Cho or Dr David Yonghi Cho, depending on which name he chooses on the day, harshly". Donald Elley of Bellingen: "What did you think when you heard Frank houston was a pedophile. I understand you called him your spiritual father". Dr Phil Pringle: "We must see things through God's precious loving eyes and not judge harshly. We are not God".

Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Welcome to this, my blog site, Dr Phil Pringle”. Dr Phil Pringle: “Thank you Donald Elley of Bellingen. Nice to be here”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Who do you think is greater, you or Napoleon Bonaparte?” Dr Phil Pringle: “Me of course”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “What is it like being the head of over 1000 churches?” Dr Phil Pringle: “Like being God”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Do you believe Kong Hee was innocent?’ Dr Phil Pringle: “The whole Singaporean legal system is ruled by Satan”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “What did you think when you found out that Frank Houston was a lifelong secret pedophile. You called him your spiritual father”. Dr Phil Pringle: “We must see things through God’s precious loving eyes and not judge harshly. Frank Houston had a small problem about little boys”.

Finally I’d like to welcome Saint Coitus Copulous Citadelic Houston, otherwise known as His Emminence, The Perfect Parsonage, the Irreverent Master of Glitz, Glam, Gyrating Special Lights, Holy Theatre Smoke and a Holy Booming Super-Trendy Deeper than God Sound System, the Dark Smooth Lofty Crown Rodent Prince of Hillsong, the Great Babylon and it’s Three Holy Cities, New York, London and Sydney.

Thank you Donald Elley of Bellingen, my old builder pal from Darlinghurst days and now my greatest holy heretic.

Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Welcome Your Holy Eminence to my blog site”. Pope Brian of Hillsong: “Thank you Donald Elley of Bellingen, my old builder pal from Bellingen, in the Outposts of My Realm, and now my greatest sacred heretic”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Who do you think is the greatest, you or Napoleon?” Pope Brian of Hillsong: “I used to think it was Saint Francis The Rock Spider my dad. When I realised he was a foul rock spider I tried for 15 years to think he still was the greatest man who had lived on the planet,- even greater than Napoleon Bonaparte. Then Hillsong’s Corpus Copulating Bobbie my foxy lady said to me one night- actually she whispered in my holy Houston ear, “Brian you are the greatest lover in the world and the greatest man of God in the world. Give me more of your Rodent love”. So I took that as a prophecy from the anointed concubine Bobbie- a very word from God- that I am now the greatest of all”. Donald Elley of Bellingen: “Who do you think is greater, you or Phil Pringle?”. Brian…err St Pete: “I’m prepared to say, since I’m the most secure metrosexual Pentecostal Pope on the planet that I’m greater- but Dr Phil Pringle is a great god too”.  Donald Elley of Bellingen” Why do you say that?” Brian…err St Pete: “Whereas I rule with an iron fist, Dr Phil Pringle is far classier. He rules his empire with silky smooth holy velvet gloves”.

The Holy Spirit loves you deeply.

The Holy Spirit, the Gentle Dove of Heaven, loves you deeply.

Conventionally speaking and out of the greatest respect for God, if we write an adjective before or after one of God’s Names, after I did then, we should use a capital letter on the first letter of that adjective.

A small point. The benefits and wisdom with Christianity and life are in grasping and applying the detail well.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

In context:

Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness…

2 Timothy 2:15

My skills with words, writing and in knowing and understanding the Holy Bible and the ways of God weren’t established in five minutes.

It has taken a lifetime of tuition and diligence.

These are the types of men and woman we so need God to raise up in this generation, even if all my generation are sweep into the gutter.

When I think of the errant men of God who I have been writing about on this my personal blog-site since September 2012 I weep.

Literally weep.

Not feel like weeping. I weep.

My heart is in the greatest pain when I think about the carnage these errant men have caused.

I also get very angry about these men.

Frank Houston.

Pastor Frank Houston. Founder of hillsong. Extremely corrupt life-long pedophile.

Pastor Frank Houston. Founder of Hillsong. Extremely evil and corrupt life-long pedophile.

I started writing about Frank Houston on 13 September 2012 with my article on this site, ‘Pastor Frank Houston. part 1. Frank’s Houston’s pedophile activities’.

This article has been viewed by 16,000 people.

If you google ‘Frank Houston abuse’, it is the first article that will appear.

My article comes up ahead of Wikipedia, the Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, ABC, London Daily Mail and other media.

It has been the first article if you google ‘Frank Houston abuse’ for over two years.

I started writing about Frank Houston, his pedophile activities and his many other faults, in September 2012 before the then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard called the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

My articles were influential in the Royal Commission examining the Houstons, the ACC/ AOG and Hillsong church.

In fact Simeon Beckett, a leading Commission lawyer, quoted directly from the above article on Frank Houston when he outlined the history of the Assemblies of God and other introductory facts.

The Royal Commission has contacted me three times for information.

I introduced the Royal Commission to victim SA1 (my code name) and organised for him to give them a statement.

At that time in October last year, to my knowledge, no victims of Frank Houston were known to the Royal Commission in Australia apart from victim AHA from Coogee Beach, Sydney.

I also told them about victim WNZ1 from Wellington, New Zealand, who few people know. Only some immediate family, one pastor in New Zealand and me.

WNZ1 contacted me after reading my blog-site. The Australian Royal Commission have noted his existence.  They don’t need a statement off him because their brief is only to examine Australian cases of sexual abuse of minors (under 18’s).

The Royal Commission has uncovered 160,000 victims of Institutional Abuse of minors.

Staggering when you think that’s only the Institutional abuse. The problem of pedophilia is of epidemic proportions in Australia.

This man has never repented of crimes against God and man in the 1970s, including having oral sex multiple times with a series of three young church secretaries, including his right hand man’s daughter, spiritual and moral deception and trashing and dumping Queen Street AOG Auckland and running away to Perth.

Queen Street AOG was the largest church in Australia or New Zealand at the time.

The  greatest of sins.

Frank Houston was far worse but Neville Johnson is up there in the bad pastor dudes stakes.

Neville Johnson is still ministering from an internet site “Academy of Light’ in Perth, Western Australia, and in a teaching ministry.

Avoid Neville Johnson like the plague.

This man is still ministering and should not be.

Jim Williams is another errant New Zealand pastor who should just go fishing or do gardening for old ladies and leave the Blessed Body of Christ, God’s Precious Jewel from Heaven, alone.

Jim Williams followed Frank Houston as the Head of the New Zealand Assemblies of God Church (AOG).

He was the 9th General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand was from October 1977 – 1985, an eight year term.

Sydney James “Jim” Williams was born on 11 September 1935.

Jim Williams is a former pastor and former leader of one of the most influential churches in the Assemblies of God in New Zealand in Hamilton.

He is currently pastoring in Queensland, Australia.

Jim Williams became a published author with a work based on the book of Proverbs called “Wisdom – the missing link”, a book on handling pastoral problems.

One of the most difficult things he had to manage as General Superintendent was the fallout following the revelation of the financial and moral failure of Neville Johnson then pastor of the largest church in Australasia, the Queen Street Assembly of God.

Departure from New Zealand

Williams left for Australia in March 1989, the leadership of the AOG then passing to Pastor Wayne Hughes. In Australia Williams served in what was then known as the Garden City Church in Brisbane.

Adultery

In 1994 the Executive of the NZ AOG received a letter from the Australian Assemblies stating that Williams had been guilty of adultery while pastor at the Hamilton AOG Assembly.

Williams was replaced as Pastor of the Garden City Christian Church by his deputy Senior Pastor, Pastor Geoff Holdway. Pastor Holdway differed from Williams charismatic style by focusing on a more fundamental adherence and teaching of scripture. This was based on his background in the Baptist theological seminary with a much more Pentecostal emphasis on scriptural interpretation.

At this time Williams was pastoring in Australia.

He lost his Australian credentials, but these were eventually returned after a time of counseling.

However he remained barred from ministry in the NZ AOG due to a failure to make any efforts to put the matter right in New Zealand.

In 2000 it became apparent that the extent of his sexual impropriety was much greater than admitted to the Australian body.

His credentials in New Zealand were permanently revoked for adulterous offences and other indiscretions involving different women over an extended period of years.

Following this the Hamilton Assembly (Gateway Christian Centre) left the denomination.

Current Ministry

Jim Williams is no longer associated with the Assemblies of God in Australia, and is now pastoring a church The House of Praise in Springwood, Queensland.

Today Brian Houston of Hillsong and other top Hillsong and Australian Christian Churches (ACC) leaders are being examined by the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Macquarie Street Sydney.

If you wish to attend the Hearing is open to the public. The details are on the Royal Commission website.

http://www.childabuseroyalcommission.nsw.gov.au

On this Australian Royal Commission website there are details from the last time Hillsong and Australian Christian Churches leaders appeared at this Royal Commission.

Brian Houston got shown up to be heartless towards his father Frank Houston’s child sex abuse victims. Child sex is such a travesty. There was a man arrested in Melbourne Australia yesterday for infanticide offences against a little girl who was snatched at a Woollongong Beach south of Sydney 47 years ago and murdered.

The pedophile Frank Houston. In Hades now awaiting The Great Judgment

To my knowledge Frank Houston, the founder of Hillsong in Sydney exactly forty years ago in 1977, didn’t murder any children or teens.

But Frank Houston did sexually abuse hundreds, possibly over four hundred little boys and male teens. Frank Houston was a pedophile and possibly a Satanist and/or Illuminati. There is evidence that he was in a pedophile ring with Jim Williams, another pedophile who used Christian ministry to sexually abuse children. This is the type of thing Satanists and Illuminati do.

Despite Brian Houston’s lies and denials, I have established from evidence of fourteen victims of Brian’s dad Frank, and by rational conjecture over four hundred victims.

We will never know on this earth the exact number of Frank Houston’s victims but it would helpful if more victims could come forward and anonymously tell their story. This site is a forum, perhaps the only one, where victims can feel safe in this way. You can write an anonymous message in the comments box at the bottom of every article on this site, and I’ll email you. No one else can see your email address. I have had TV One New Zealand trying to get me to give access to the three boy victims of Frank Houston I am in contact with, but I wont. If the victims want publicity they could talk to media anytime but I would discourage it.

In October 2015, the Royal Commission released it’s Findings. It recommended Brian Houston be charged for pedophile protection crimes. This is due to happen at some time in the near future. There have been some delays but it will happen.

Here is an article published in the Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) on 4 August 2007.

The writer David Marr is a gay man who writes for the SMH and who is interested in subjects like religion and organisations like Hillsong.

The first part of the article is about Tanya Levin’s book. Tanya is an ex-Hillsong lady who is now an atheist and a Hillsong watch type person.

Information about Peter Laughton, Frank Houston’s former young worship leader is in the second part of the article.

Peter Laughton was staying as a boarder with Frank Houston and his wife Hazel when the abuse occurred.

Although Peter was in his 20s he feels Frank Houston, who was 60, took advantage of him and abused him.

Tanya Levins

Tanya Levins

August 4, 2007

When a former member of the Hillsong congregation started asking hard questions, she was thrown out,

By the miracle of YouTube, we can take a helicopter ride over Sydney any time we like with Pastor Brian Houston as he lays out Hillsong’s Vision 2007. In a voice that has coaxed fortunes from the faithful, he talks prosperity, vision, growth and God’s strategy as the helicopter swoops down on the “beautiful piece of property” Hillsong bought last year in inner-city Rosebery for $28 million.

“I think the finances are where we’re going to have to have the greatest faith.”

His confidence is absolute that the mortgage will soon be paid. To a sceptical outsider, Houston looks oddly like Spike Milligan with cans on his ears and a microphone to his mouth as he looks down on the suburbs where Hillsong’s “state-of-the-art worship centres” are booming already or will soon be delivering the goods for Christ. He shrugs off ridicule. The nation’s most triumphant preacher lives in a world without doubt and without dissent.

“Jesus said a house divided against itself cannot stand,” Houston reminds the thousands who have viewed this film clip and left adoring messages behind. (“Please come to Sweden! We need ‘fire’ here!!!!!!!!!”) Authority is a big deal at Hillsong. You don’t mess with Brian or his wife, Bobbie. “The great strength of our church has always been our unity. A single vision is critical to where we’re going.”

So Tanya Levin is a problem. She asks questions. She wants explanations. She challenges the vision of Hillsong’s leadership. In short, she’s trouble.

Two years into writing People in Glass Houses, her insider’s account of Hillsong, she was finally – and literally – shown the door. “There is no debate within Hillsong,” she says. “That’s fundamentalism. It’s not open to free thought and question, not at all.”

The church wasn’t answering her emails about the book. Houston had ignored her calls. She defied orders not to turn up at the Castle Hill “campus”, until the night came when two security guards carried her from the church and “a very tall, handsome Maori man of about 24” called Dion walked her to her car.

“I cried at Dion,” she writes. “I told him about my dad, and faithfulness and loyalty … whatever kind of Hollywood angel he was dressed as that night, there would come a time when he would outlive the usefulness to the Firm. And then he would lose that simple genuine look he stared at me with. I told him to go home and read his Bible and go ask the preachers why it doesn’t match what they say. He listened like one does to the ravings of a lunatic and I made him listen because that’s his job.”

It was the end of a long affair that began when Levin was 14, the daughter of a banker and his Jewish wife who were brought to God by Billy Graham back in South Africa. The family turned up in the early days of what was to become the behemoth of Hillsong.

“My impressions in September of 1985 were of a bunch of nice people,” Levin writes. They waved their hands and spoke in tongues. Houston preached. “Even today,” she confesses, “when I hear Brian Houston’s voice I feel better.”

People in Glass Houses is a naked account of the joys of religious infatuation and the messy business of re-entering the real world as an adult five years down the track.

Levin fitted the Hillsong pattern perfectly: “There is a 50 per cent turnover every five years. Hillsong is renowned for having a very big back door.” The churning of people through the church is not something they talk about. “Or they say people don’t have the faith to hang on; they’re unable to take it through the tough times. It’s always the fault of the person. It’s never the fault of Hillsong.”

But the ties were deep. University and then a child took her away from the Hills for a decade. She returned as a single mother with a job as a social worker in a Salvation Army women’s refuge and something more than curiosity about the fate of her old church and the friends she still had there. “I’d go sporadically just to have a look.”

Rumours of scandal sharpened her interest. After one hugely popular pastor was expelled in 2001, Levin began asking questions about Brian Houston’s father, Frank – a preacher so powerful he was thought to be able to raise the dead – who was being accused on the internet of pedophilia. But Hillsong was in the dark.

Brian and Bobbie won a standing ovation from the congregation when they finally broke the news that old Frank had an unwavering love of God and deeply repented his moral failings. His crimes were not named that day. Levin was furious: “I had a near-irresistible urge to yell out like the boys used to do in the old days, ‘What did he DO, Brian?’ ”

Levin was asking questions again, this time to write this book. Frank was not her target. She set herself the task of explaining the inner workings of the most successful religious operation in Australia: the joy and despair of faith; the mass hypnosis of worship; the Jesus-centric remedies offered in Hillsong’s outreach programs for drug addiction, domestic violence, unemployment and homosexuality; the ideological submission of women; and the bleeding of money from the faithful.

Levin’s family is among the financial casualties of Hillsong. They’re out of the church now after more than 20 years and her mother’s sardonic joke is that People in Glass Houses might earn a little of their money back. Hillsong’s 19,000 members are expected to tithe – give a 10th of their income to the church – and make big donations on top of that. Levin wrote the book as a warning: “The intention was to tell people, ‘Hey, by the way, they’re taking your money.’ ”

A couple of years ago, Brian Houston boasted on ABC television that Hillsong’s income for the financial year 2004-2005 was $50 million. It’s tax-free, of course. Accounts are never published. Year after year, Hillsong’s music arm has albums high in the charts. When All of the Above faded after many months this year, Saviour King took its place. The earnings are enormous but the begging bowl is always out.

“It’s a corporate organisation being run by corporately trained people to achieve economic outcomes,” Levin says. “Economic outcomes are the new measure of spiritual success and sign of blessing. The fact that Brian Houston is driving a Harley is a sign that God is looking upon him favourably.”

For Levin, the core lie of Hillsong is the claim that God will repay everything you give. And the longer you have to wait, the greater the return. “How do you actually stand in front of people and say if you give me your money God will give it back to you – and actually sleep at night when you’re taking old people’s money? It’s obviously the more desperate people who want to make an investment decision like that. Very vulnerable people.”

Four or five years ago Levin typed “ex born again Christian” into Google and found that “from Sweden to Nevada and back again there were people with the same story”. They are welcomed into a small, warm, friendly congregation with one or two charismatic preachers. But a few years later they’re out the door: “Kicked out and told they are the work of the devil.”

That early friendliness is part of the big sell. “They don’t preach against much. There’s a new movement that’s come through America called Seeker Sensitive – in other words we want people who come into our church to feel comfortable. And we want to be sensitive to their needs. So we won’t say anything too outrageous and we’ll tone the whole thing down.”

But tough rules – often about sex – are waiting to be enforced. “Painted into a corner, they’re explicitly homophobic, but up to that point they don’t want to be seen as an unfriendly, judgmental place. They want to be seen as warm, inclusive, loving, embracing. But they’re not. They are of their own kind: if you’re in the system and you behave accordingly, the system will reward you.”

Levin thought that with so many casualties of the system around, writing the book would be easy. “What I found – and what other media have found – is that it’s almost impossible to get other people to come forward and talk about this. People will write things on websites, they will send emails: ‘I’ve been through this, I’ve done this, I can help you, I know these things, I am the voice of expertise.’ Then they disappear again because it’s too painful and it’s too confrontational.”

Hillsong won’t comment on the result.

“We have no control over what people decide to say and write,” Brian Houston says. “We keep our focus on helping people with hope in Jesus Christ.”

But Levin has a fair idea what they’re thinking out in the Hills. “Bobbie Houston announced at the Colour Your World conference in 2005 that there the only three types of media about Hillsong. They are the positive, the neutral and the anti-Christ.”

Levin doesn’t fit that picture. She doesn’t hate. Something in her seems to yearn for those exhilarating years fighting the good fight against the devil in all his disguises right down to the voodoo beat of rock’n’roll. “We were told you can’t have it because it’s incantation and you’re going to raise all these demons.” How different things are now. Levin begins to sing some Hillsong Christian trance music: “Doof, doof, doof. Christ is the future. Doof doof doof …”

Is she entirely free of the place? If Houston rang today and asked her to dinner, would she go?

“Yes, very much so. My main aim is to keep the dialogue open. To encourage questions. To encourage debate. And when somebody or a group of people make you feel like family for a number of years, it’s difficult to shake that feeling even when reality tells you something different, and when relationships break down. Go do dinner with Brian?” She laughs. “It would be nice.”

A fallen leader of faith

FRANK HOUSTON was a charismatic preacher and a sick man. He won famous souls for Hillsong – jockey Darren Beadman was one of his scalps – and sexually abused young men.

He was about 60 when he undertook to cure 23-year-old Peter Laughton’s homosexuality. “My counselling sessions by the senior minister were nothing more than sexual abuse disguised in the form of the need of a father’s love and discipline,” Laughton says. “Through my naivety, I endured the naked beatings, the eternal bum caresses and masturbating into bottles, among other things.”

Laughton was training to be a pastor. He says the abuse continued for about four years until 1984. “I look at it now and think, ‘God, I was really naive to fall for that.’ ” And believing himself cured, he married.

Laughton’s faith went first. He tells the Herald that before leaving the church in the early 1990s he gave an account to another pastor of the abusive therapy he’d received. But as far as Laughton is aware, no action was taken against the old man until he was forced into retirement by his son Brian after an allegation of pedophilia emerged in about 2000.

Houston denies categorically knowing of any claims of sexual abuse by his father before this time. He initiated a church investigation, which saw the old preacher’s credentials permanently removed. “I was completely devastated by the realisation that my father had hurt people in this way, and I believed it related to events more than 30 years before when he was a New Zealand credentialled pastor. Until recently I knew nothing of Peter’s claims.”

Laughton took a long time to come to grips with his sexuality. He’s now a university lecturer in his early 50s who finds it in himself to forgive Frank Houston. “Despite all his downfallings I think he was genuinely a good person. It is an important part but it still is only one aspect of a person’s life. I’ve come through the other side and appreciated how this man was trapped like many of us were in a system and in a place where you couldn’t really even talk about what you were struggling with.”

Burying his father in 2004, Houston declared him a man who made mistakes but a preacher “in a class of his own”.

My comments:

From 1981 to 1990 I was involved at Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst, which is now called Hillsong Church.

Frank Houston was the head pastor and the founder of Hillsong Church in 1977.

He came over from New Zealand, in the guise of church planting, but he was really a crafty old pedophile who felt the noose tightening on his pedophilia activities which he’d been doing for decades in New Zealand, while at the same time being a very prominent AOG pastor.

Frank Houston is a devil, a son of lucifer of old, who preyed on and molested little boys, teens and older men all his life.

On this site you’ll find over 100 articles on Frank Houston, his pedophilia, his very corrupt son Brian Houston, Hillsong Church, the Australian Christian Churches which was until 2009 called the Australian Assemblies of God (AOG), the New Zealand Assemblies of God and errant Pentecostal pastors in Australia and New Zealand.

For a summary of Frank Houston’s pedophile history please read my article on this site, ‘Pastor Frank Houston, Part one. Frank Houston’s pedophile activities’, published on 9 September 2012.

Peter Laughton was the young Worship Pastor at Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst in the early 1980s.

There is no way possible anyone at Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst could have known what Frank Houston and Peter Laughton were up to. I’d heard allegations of Frank Houston’s pedophilia back in New Zealand and I always had a half-eye on him in this respect but you’d never have picked it

Trevor King was the Music Director.

In 1981 Brian Houston wasn’t a pastor. He was extremely ambitious and very pushy. He wanted to go places and make it big. Its a pity he didn’t get born again properly, receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit, deal with his lust for money and power, get deliverance and get a godly foundation in his life of truth, honesty and good morals before he set out to conquer the world for his Jesus.

Brian Houston’s Jesus is no closer to the Lord Jesus Christ of the New Testament than some statue of the black Jesus in Southern Italy with its holy red heart open to mankind.
