Pastor Brian Houston has grown rich on Hillsong music royalties and from other church income sources such as “Love Offerings”, which can amount to hundreds of thousands each time Brian preaches or teaches at an American mega-church.

Brian needs to acknowledge, help and make large pay-outs to victims of his father’s abuse.

Brian should pay a net one million Australian dollar payout to each victim of his father’s abuse.

Hillsong have the means, they should do it.

Donald Elley of Bellingen September 13, 2021

Below is an article from mine of September 14, 2014 at the time Brian Houston appeared at The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

I have been writing on this site about Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston’s concealment of his father Pastor Frank Houston and Frank’s sexual abuse of hundreds, if not thousands of boy victims for over 60 years since 2012.

At the time I wrote the article below, I knew of 10 boy sex abuse victims of Frank Houston plus his worship leader at early Hillsong Peter Laughton with whom Frank had a secret homosexual affair. This was in 1980 to 1984.

My current count of known Frank boy victims is at least 17 although it is now impossible to arrive at a figure. I’m now thinking hundreds, if not thousands, maybe over 2000 boy victims.

Pastor Frank Houston. Unclean hands.

Introductory Note:

Revision 31 October 2014:

The number of boy victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s sexual abuse is now 14 or more. I have unearthed 3 more victims since the blog article below was written.

Please see my article “Pastor Frank Houston. Part one. Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile activities” dated 13 September 2012 which is my first article on this matter and which I’ve updated to include the overall story and a list of victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s sexual abuse of mainly boys.

Donald Elley of Bellingen September 14, 2014

The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is about to turn its attention to Pastor Frank Houston, the Hillsong Organisation and the Australian Christian Churches, another name for the Australian Assemblies of God Churches.

Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston, its head pastor and the successor to his father Frank Houston, Hillsong’s founder, constantly takes the position that Pastor Frank Houston committed a sole act of pedophilia on a boy in Lower Hutt New Zealand forty years ago. This is the official Hillsong stance.

In numerous blog articles on this site I’ve described in detail how this statement is not only not true but a lie, spin and a complete cover-up.

Pastor Frank Houston had a sexual taste for young men and boys. His orientation was for young males. Ten year olds, teens and vulnerable young men in their early twenties.

Please bear in mind that Pastor Frank Houston was the most senior Assemblies of God (AOG) pastor in New Zealand in the late 1960s and 1970s and in Australia in the 1980s and 1990s. He was revered as the god-father and founder of Hillsong and the most senior figure in the Pentecostal movement in Australia and New Zealand for three plus decades.

All this time Pastor Frank Houston was committing pedophile and homosexual acts against young male victims.

I have sympathy for his son Pastor Brian Houston, in the sense that I know him and have spent time with him in the 1980s. I fitted out Brian’s first office in Baulkham Hills Shopping Centre in 1983 and Brian took me to his first home, a humble small dwelling in a street of better larger houses. I knew Brian before he became a pastor in the early 1980s. I have watched his progress over the decades.

I can understand Brian’s desire to paint his dad in a better light. I can understand his unwillingness, even denial, about the truth.

Brian has said that he didn’t know about Pastor Frank Houston’s abuse of his young worship leader Peter Laughton, in the early 1980s. But Brian knows now.

Pastor Frank Houston invited Peter Laughton, his young worship leader, to be a boarder, with him and his wife Hazel, in the peaceful environment of their church-funded Lane Cove Apartment, overlooking the Lane Cove River. Frank said he would mentor him. Frank, who was 58, proceeded to seduce and molest Peter and molest him repeatedly. Google “Peter Laughton abuse” or “Frank Houston abuse” for the sordid details Peter shared with the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007.

The reality is that Pastor Frank Houston abused many more children, adolescents and vulnerable young men than the one Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston claim.

Here is the list of victims I know about which I’ve listed in chronological order.

They total 11 or more victims.

I suspect there are more. A lot more.

1. Lower Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand. Pastor Frank Houston abused six ten year old boys. SUB TOTAL: SIX VICTIMS

Sources: 1. A relative, who is now a prominent New Zealand Christian counsellor, told me in 1990 his professional mentor was abused by Pastor Frank Houston and that there were a total of six boys who Frank Houston abused. 2. Stan and Sheila Carter, former members of Lower Hutt Assemblies of God. Sheila was an AOG missionary for decades and a very reliable source. There are people alive today in New Zealand who would know the facts. There was an investigation and a big fall-out. Pastor Frank, like all pedophiles, denied the allegations and attacked and expelled his accusers from his church, the Lower Hutt AOG, Wellington, New Zealand..

2. Lower Hutt New Zealand. Early 1970s. Pastor Frank Houston molested a 16 year old adolescent boy. SUB TOTAL: ONE VICTIM

Sources: This is well-documented. Peter Fowler has written on-line about what happened to him. The NZ AOG made a pay-out. Google “Frank Houston and Peter Fowler” for details.

3. South Australia. Pastor Frank Houston molested at least three boys. SUB TOTAL: THREE PLUS VICTIMS

Sources. Stan and Sheila Carter. (refer above). One of the victims wrote a comment on one of my blog articles on this site. He said he had been abused by Pastor Frank Houston at an AOG Church camp in South Australia and there were others. He wrote that there were many young 10 year old boys who were sexually molested by Pastor Frank Houston.

4. Sydney, Australia. Early 1980s. Pastor Frank Houston aged 60 abused his vulnerable worship leader, Peter Laughton, aged in his 20s. SUB TOTAL: ONE VICTIM

GRAND TOTAL ELEVEN OR MORE VICTIMS.

I hope the Royal Commission digs into the detail and gets to the truth about Pastor Frank Houston and the Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston spin and cover-ups.

It’s time the full truth came out and was acknowledged and owned by the Houston family.

It’s time Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston took responsibility for Pastor Frank Houston’s actions and took the following actions:

1. Locate and made a full acknowledgment and apology to all the victims.

2. Pay for professional counselling, for as long as they require it, for all victims. The counsellor to be a counsellor of the victims choice.

3. Pay a net one million Australian dollar payout to each victim of his father’s abuse.

Pastor Brian Houston, and his family and others, have enriched  themselves on the back of Hillsong’s success.

I’m particularly concerned about individuals taking of royalties from the sale of Hillsong albums, which has been going on for decades. This is in reality stealing from God. Pastor Brian Houston, his family and others have no right to do this. If we do stuff for God and in the name of God, then we shouldn’t steal money from it. It’s wrong in the sight of God.

There is so much wrong at Hillsong and the acknowledgement, help and payment of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile and homosexual victims is just one of many things that should be set right at Hillsong.

Acknowledging and helping victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile acts would be a good start.

Donald Elley

This is an article of mine from October 19, 2014.

This was at the time of The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

At that time, this site had a lot of traffic when Brian Houston and other top Hillsong and ACC (Australian AOG) leaders appeared there by subpoena.

At this time a number of Frank Houston boy victims contacted me.

The article below is an introduction to a new Frank boy victim who contacted me then. I gave him the code-name WNZ1. At that time he was very shy about his identity and very much trying to come to terms with what Frank did to him.

Recently WNZ1 has revealed himself to the world as David Cowdrey from New Zealand.

I’ve been in touch with David Cowdrey by email for seven years since then. I gave David a voice to tell his story of what Frank Houston did to him as an 8 year old boy. He was lying in bed when Frank Houston, a respected AOG evangelist, sexually abused him.

David Cowdrey has only vague memories of what happened and how often. It’s likely David was sexually abused far more and far more deeply than he can remember.

This is normal in child sex abuse

Here is the story of boy victim WNZ1. Wellington, New Zealand no 1. The abuse occurred at his parent’s home in a suburb near Tawa.

“Woe to him who interferes with a child. It would be better for a millstone to be fastened around his neck and for him to be flung into the deepest sea”.

Pastor Frank Houston. Pastor from hell.

Pastor Frank Houston. Lifelong secret pedophile.

Boy victim WNZ1’s story, exactly as he told it to me in an email last week.

Hi Donald

A bit about me…I went to Teachers College from 72-74 (attending Varsity part time) before Teaching for a year and a half then living a hippie lifestyle.

AB and I hung around Wellington together in the 70’s, walking the fine line between sin, repentance and sainthood. I’m afraid sex and drugs got the better of me for a time. I also hung around up at Kapiti during the late ‘70s with AB. He was (edit) a very close friend.

Here is my story.

I discovered your blog earlier this year when working through childhood trauma with my counsellor. It was very helpful in providing background to my journey, enabling me to finally admit to myself that Frank was my abuser.

I’m 60 years old and the impact of the abuse involving Frank in my life has been significant. Despite appearing to be a successful corporate manager, I couldn’t sustain the facade. Inside I lived with fear, mistrust, anger and shame. I was depressed, lonely and isolated.

I sought comfort from my pain in unhelpful ways, compulsively pursuing and becoming involved in one relationship after another, sometimes having more than one sexual or emotional liaison at a time. I lived my life in compartments and feeling completely shut off from myself, God, my family and friends.

My broken life is testimony to the selfish acts of the sicko creep Frank Houston on an innocent boy.

From the age of five into my teens I attended Lower Hutt AOG with my family.

My encounter with Frank was when I was 8 years old.

My family lived in a Wellington suburb and my parents held a Saturday night prayer meeting which folk from Lower Hutt AOG attended.

Frank attended a few times and it was during these visits that the abuse occurred.

When I read of AHA’s experience in the Commission’s transcript, the details in the description brought everything back. I finally knew deep within me the true horror of what had happened all those years ago.

I recall feeling the weight of Frank on me, the breath in my face and my genitals being fondled.

I was completely paralysed with fear.

I could not speak. I was totally bewildered as to what was going on.

I remember this happening 2 or 3 times.

I tried to explain to my parents what had happened to me. I did not have the words to explain it.

They thought it was a nightmare. I knew differently.

I named this thing ‘the black shadow’.

I took a piece of wood to bed with me every night so I could defend myself or knock on the wall to alert my parents.

The problem was that when ‘the black shadow’ entered my room I was so fearful I could do nothing.

The incidents were not prolonged (although at the time the groping seemed to go on forever!).

I have come to realise that Frank would have excused himself to ‘use the bathroom’ and took a detour via my bedroom on the way.

I believe these incidents would have occurred more if my family hadn’t moved to Lower Hutt in 1962.

The prayer meetings were then held at the church and I don’t recall Frank visiting my home again.

I recently asked my father about the ‘incident’ with Peter Fowler in Lower Hutt where Frank had been accused of abuse. He said it was beyond his comprehension that Frank could have been guilty. He thought at that time, in his naivety that it was an ‘attack of the devil’. He was partly right – the devil was Frank!

A ‘minor’ incident occurred at lunch at the Houston’s when I was a pubescent boy. Frank pressed his leg into mine and had his hand on my thigh. I recall feeling extremely uncomfortable. Frank abused the trust of his children by abusing their friends. How depraved is that?

Another significant event in my life involving Frank occurred in 1969 when I was 15. I was sitting down the back of the church with Brian and Graeme Houston and some of the other youth at a Sunday night service.

We were chatting away during the sermon and Frank came all the way down the centre aisle from the pulpit and yelled at me to stand up. He then yelled at me “You fool!” and then turned to the congregation and continued saying “Fools like you are tools of Satan! I curse you!” He was in an absolute rage.

I still feel the pain and shame of that moment now – 45 years later. Not only was Frank a pervert he was a bully! All my life, from this moment forward I was filled with anxiety and unable to be direct with anyone in authority for fear of being shamed and/or humiliated.

Then the Jesus Hippie thing came along with lots of hugging. Frank would seek out young men to embrace. It was creepy. I still remember him pushing his crotch into me as we embraced in ‘brotherly love’!

Frank the Paedophile was a liar, full of cunning and deceit.

He was a very scary controlling man.

I am sure there are many more victims out there – both children and young adult. I suspect a number of people I knew in my teens and early twenties were victims of Frank.

My wife emailed Brian Houston in 2009 when I uncovered and told her of my abuse. He responded in a supportive way stating he had no knowledge of the abuse but that I was welcome to contact him to discuss it. I have not taken him up on his offer.

I have been granted long-term counselling stemming in part from my childhood abuse experience. I also attend a 12 Step programme which is helping repair my brokeness. I am lucky I have a supportive wife and family which I nearly lost.

I turned away from God for a long time. I am slowly learning to trust God with my life.

I remain angry about what Frank did. I still struggle to find a place of forgiveness in my heart for him.

Maybe Frank didn’t have this verse in his Bible…

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6.
Thanks Donald, for bringing the abuses of Frank to light.

Keep up the campaign.

Truth always wins in the end.

The Holy Spirit loves you deeply.

The Holy Spirit, the Gentle Dove of Heaven, loves you deeply.

Conventionally speaking and out of the greatest respect for God, if we write an adjective before or after one of God’s Names, after I did then, we should use a capital letter on the first letter of that adjective.

A small point. The benefits and wisdom with Christianity and life are in grasping and applying the detail well.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth.

In context:

Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers. 15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 16 But avoid worldly and empty chatter, for it will lead to further ungodliness…

2 Timothy 2:15

My skills with words, writing and in knowing and understanding the Holy Bible and the ways of God weren’t established in five minutes.

It has taken a lifetime of tuition and diligence.

When I think of the errant men of God who I have been writing about on this my personal blog-site since September 2012 I weep.

Literally weep.

Not feel like weeping. I weep.

My heart is in the greatest pain when I think about the carnage these errant men have caused.

I also get very angry about these men.

Frank Houston.

Pastor Frank Houston. Founder of hillsong. Extremely corrupt life-long pedophile.

Pastor Frank Houston. Founder of Hillsong. Extremely evil and corrupt life-long pedophile.

I started writing about Frank Houston on 13 September 2012 with my article on this site, ‘Pastor Frank Houston. part 1. Frank’s Houston’s pedophile activities’.

This article has been viewed by 16,000 people.

If you google ‘Frank Houston abuse’, it is the first article that will appear.

My article comes up ahead of Wikipedia, the Daily Telegraph, Sydney Morning Herald, ABC, London Daily Mail and other media.

It has been the first article if you google ‘Frank Houston abuse’ for over two years.

I started writing about Frank Houston, his pedophile activities and his many other faults, in September 2012 before the then Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard called the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

My articles were influential in the Royal Commission examining the Houstons, the ACC/ AOG and Hillsong church.

In fact Simeon Beckett, a leading Commission lawyer, quoted directly from the above article on Frank Houston when he outlined the history of the Assemblies of God and other introductory facts.

The Royal Commission has contacted me three times for information.

I introduced the Royal Commission to victim SA1 (my code name) and organised for him to give them a statement.

At that time in October last year, to my knowledge, no victims of Frank Houston were known to the Royal Commission in Australia apart from victim AHA from Coogee Beach, Sydney.

I also told them about victim WNZ1 from Wellington, New Zealand, who few people know. Only some immediate family, one pastor in New Zealand and me.

WNZ1 contacted me after reading my blog-site. The Australian Royal Commission have noted his existence.  They don’t need a statement off him because their brief is only to examine Australian cases of sexual abuse of minors (under 18’s).

The Royal Commission has uncovered 160,000 victims of Institutional Abuse of minors.

Staggering when you think that’s only the Institutional abuse. The problem of pedophilia is of epidemic proportions in Australia.

Neville Johnson. Liked oral sex with church secretaries.

This man has never repented of crimes against God and man in the 1970s, including having oral sex multiple times with a series of three young church secretaries, including his right hand man’s daughter, spiritual and moral deception and trashing and dumping Queen Street AOG Auckland and running away to Perth.

Queen Street AOG was the largest church in Australia or New Zealand at the time.

The  greatest of sins.

Frank Houston was far worse but Neville Johnson is up there in the bad pastor dudes stakes.

Neville Johnson is still ministering from an internet site “Academy of Light’ in Perth, Western Australia, and in a teaching ministry.

Avoid Neville Johnson like the plague.

This man is still ministering and should not be.

Jim Williams is another errant New Zealand pastor who should just go fishing or do gardening for old ladies and leave the Blessed Body of Christ, God’s Precious Jewel from Heaven, alone.

Jim Williams followed Frank Houston as the Head of the New Zealand Assemblies of God Church (AOG).

He was the 9th General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand was from October 1977 – 1985, an eight year term.

Sydney James “Jim” Williams was born on 11 September 1935.

Jim Williams is a former pastor and former leader of one of the most influential churches in the Assemblies of God in New Zealand in Hamilton.

He is currently pastoring in Queensland, Australia.

Jim Williams became a published author with a work based on the book of Proverbs called “Wisdom – the missing link”, a book on handling pastoral problems.

One of the most difficult things he had to manage as General Superintendent was the fallout following the revelation of the financial and moral failure of Neville Johnson then pastor of the largest church in Australasia, the Queen Street Assembly of God.

Departure from New Zealand

Williams left for Australia in March 1989, the leadership of the AOG then passing to Pastor Wayne Hughes. In Australia Williams served in what was then known as the Garden City Church in Brisbane.

Adultery

In 1994 the Executive of the NZ AOG received a letter from the Australian Assemblies stating that Williams had been guilty of adultery while pastor at the Hamilton AOG Assembly.

Williams was replaced as Pastor of the Garden City Christian Church by his deputy Senior Pastor, Pastor Geoff Holdway. Pastor Holdway differed from Williams charismatic style by focusing on a more fundamental adherence and teaching of scripture. This was based on his background in the Baptist theological seminary with a much more Pentecostal emphasis on scriptural interpretation.

At this time Williams was pastoring in Australia.

He lost his Australian credentials, but these were eventually returned after a time of counseling.

However he remained barred from ministry in the NZ AOG due to a failure to make any efforts to put the matter right in New Zealand.

In 2000 it became apparent that the extent of his sexual impropriety was much greater than admitted to the Australian body.

His credentials in New Zealand were permanently revoked for adulterous offences and other indiscretions involving different women over an extended period of years.

Following this the Hamilton Assembly (Gateway Christian Centre) left the denomination.

Current Ministry

Jim Williams is no longer associated with the Assemblies of God in Australia, and is now pastoring a church The House of Praise in Springwood, Queensland.

The article below was published on this site on 17 October 2015. All articles on this site are written by me, Donald Elley, and any quoted material or reprints of media articles are clearly shown to be such.

I have no reason to believe that anything I have written in this series of over forty articles is not as relevant and accurate as it was about one year ago.

Blog article 17.11.15

I’ve been contacted by a high up Hillsong insider who believes that Hillsong has gone off the rails and wants to tell his story.

This article is the third in a series of articles publishing the eye-witness testimonies of this Hillsong insider.

Hillsong Insider speaks:

“Dear Donald

In 2005 Hillsong City pastors, Pastor Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren, manhandled and abused a young lady at Hillsong City Church, who was gay. She was told, “your type is not needed here at Hillsong”.

She was sitting on the floor of the Hillsong City Church front foyer, with her back to the wall. This incident took place as the church sermon was going on. Pastor Brian Houston was preaching. It was at the 5pm service.

Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren spoke to her, and in her defence, after being told “a lesbian is gay and not needed here at Hillsong”, they went to grab her and manhandle her to the front door.

The lady at this time was sitting on the floor. As the pastors tried to get hold of her, by extreme rough handling, she said, “Please stop, you are hurting me”.

Pastor Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren were saying, “It’s time to go lady lover”.

She slapped the pastor so hard that the crack was heard inside the auditorium.

The two pastors gave this women no rights of removal under the act, and twisting her limbs behind her back, they pulled her up. She was yelling abuse at the pastors. She was taken outside and then thrown to the ground outside the door. By this stage she was a crying mess and she was bleeding a little. She would have gotten bruising after all this rough handling. I didn’t see her return.

This was one incident where the reports were shredded or never made. This lady was acting in self-defence. Yes the lady was gay, but this was plain bullying and rough handling, whatever you like to call it.

I saw this all happen and did not a thing. I was told by Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren, “It’s not your place, we will handle it”.

The security team can be very rough, and they can be very aggressive, doing pay-back and stuff like that. They can be very aggressive in protecting Hillsong and throwing out dissenters like this poor lesbian who got shown the door. They also spy on people and track them. For example Tanya Levin, the Hillsong watch lady”.

My comments:

The writer Donald Elley

The writer Donald Elley of Bellingen

I knew Steve McGhie, who is Brian Houston’s brother-in-law, in the 1990s at Christian Life Centre (CLC), Waterloo. I was there a decade before he turned up in Sydney with his wife Judith, Brian Houston’s youngest sister, from New Zealand.

CLC Waterloo is the second name for Hillsong. The first name was CLC Darlinghurst. I was present at the first two incarnations of Hillsong at Darlinghurst and Waterloo, two inner city suburbs of Sydney.

When I was a lay pastor at CLC Darlinghurst in the 1980s, under my watch, gays and lesbians were welcome at CLC services and at the Inner City home groups, which Pastor Laurie Murphy and I oversaw. The were handled with sensitivity, care and respect. A number of homosexuals came to know the Lord Jesus Christ and forsook their sinful gay lifestyle for something far greater.

I was responsible for ten home groups which Pastor Laurie Murphy and I pioneered throughout the Inner City of Sydney. Hillsong City church is located near home groups I pioneered. Two or three streets away from the current location of Hillsong City church in Waterloo, three home groups I pioneered in the early 1980s were located. Michael Driscoll, a friend of the artist Brett Whiteley, ran one in Regent Street, Robert “Bob” Harris, a published poet who won a National Award, ran another in Baptist Street, and I ran one in Great Buckingham Street.

It was not an issue for homosexuals, drug addicts and Aborigines to attend our home groups. We had plenty of these types of people coming to our numerous home groups, which by 1987 numbered 15 throughout Inner City Sydney.

I had Aboriginals coming to my home group in Great Buckingham Street, Redfern, from nearby, and from ‘The Block’, an Aboriginal slum area, from 1982. In those days things were much rougher than the gentrified conditions of Redfern today. Redfern was challenging, dangerous and rough in those days. In fact, many at CLC Darlinghurst were scared to go south of Cleveland Street. At the time I was praying two hours a day, was very full of the Holy Spirit to overflowing, and had ‘no fear’.

Lesbians and homosexuals were not only welcome at CLC Darlinghurst, unbeknown to us, the greatest homosexual of all was our leader. That is, the famed Pastor Frank Houston, the Great Secret Gay Lord and the founder of Hillsong, and Pastor Brian Houston’s father.

When you think about it, the devil couldn’t have invented a greater pantomime and camp charade than Hillsong Darlinghurst in the 1980s. We had a secret High-Camp Head Priest, Rev William Francis “Frank” Houston, affectionately known as ‘The Bishop’, jumping on seats, throwing glasses of water over the congregation, as what he comically called ‘blessings of the Lord’, while he was secretly homosexually abusing Peter Laughton, his young gullible needy worship leader, with coke bottles and other accessories. Frank Houston, who used to yell and rail against gays as he preached, yet he was the greatest gay of Darlinghurst, the gay capital of the Southern Hemisphere. “Receive the anointing”, he proclaimed as he threw a glass of water across the assembled masses. “Homosexuals must repent of their sins or they will go to hell”, he jumped up on a vacant chair in the congregation and shouted.

Pastor Frank Houston. Total deviate and con-artist.

Pastor Frank Houston. Hillsong’s founder. Secret High Camp Gay Lord from Hades. Homosexual and lifelong pedophile. Father of five children and many grandchildren. Total moral and sexual deviate and camp con-artist.

In his son Brian, this Great Gay Lord Frank Houston has metamorphosed into a monster from Hades. A Gay-Loving, Gay-lifestyle-tolerating narcissistic High Priest of Note. That is, Pastor Brian Houston, CEO of Hillsong International: Gay Lord of multitudes, even stretching to it’s most openly gay outpost, Hillsong New York City, where for over five years, one of the main worship leaders Josh Canfield, who is openly gay, and who lives with his male partner Reed, has been leading worship in Hillsong NYC services. Although they live together, Josh helpfully points out that their relationship hasn’t yet been consummated, whatever that means.

Hillsong NYC. Open gays leading the choir

Hillsong NYC. Josh Canfield and Reed. Josh- open gay leading the choir. Reed in support in the choir too. Relationship ‘not consummated’, whatever that means.

Pastor Steve McGhie is a New Zealander like me. He’s married to Judith McGhie, Pastor Brian Houston’s sister.

I was informed Pastor Steve and Judith McGhie had gone back to New Zealand, but Pastor Steve’s Facebook page says he still works at Hillsong.

Judith McGhie’s Facebook lists her location as Timbuktu. It may be safer in Timbuktu than in New Zealand, although Ecuador has given Julian Assage, the Wikileaks whistleblower, asylum, so if the NSW Police were potentially interested in Steve and Judith for serious criminal offences, if I was them, I think I’d be looking at moving to South America, or maybe even Siberia, as options.

The NSW Police may be interested in both Pastor Steve McChie, and his wife Judith, because they failed in their duty as Hillsong Church leaders to report a pedophile for five years. That is Judith and Brian Houston’s father, Frank Houston, a secret life-long pedophile, who was found out in 1998/ 1999 and confessed to pedophilia. He admitted to the very minimum and lied through his teeth. Frank Houston flagged that he was a long-time pedophile, but wouldn’t tell much re the details. He never admitted the huge number of boy and teenage male victims or the sordid details of his secret extremely dark, devilish and corrupt secret pedophile and homosexual life.

Along with Pastors Bobbie and Brian Houston, Pastors Judith and Steve McGhie not only didn’t report Frank Houston to the Police, but they sheltered and protected him. These are both serious criminal offences under NSW and Australian Law.

The Australian Royal Commission barrister Simeon Beckett recommended last December that Pastor Brian Houston be criminally charged under NSW Law with not reporting and sheltering a pedophile.

Smug. Heartless. Zero care factor fro the victims of his dad's abuse.

Pastor Brian Houston. CEO of Hillsong. Criminal charges pending?

I’m not sure if those who colluded in the not reporting and sheltering Pastor Frank Houston, the founder of Hillsong, are in the sights of the NSW Attorney General’s Department and the NSW Police for the criminal charges of not reporting and sheltering a pedophile.

These Hillsong church shelterers of Pastor Frank Houston include Pastor Brian Houston, his wife Bobbie Houston, George Aghajanian the Hillsong Business Manager, Nabi Saleh the former owner of Gloria Jean Coffee, an extremely wealthy man, Pastor Steve McGhie, his wife Judith McGhie, Pastor John McMartin the NSW President of the Australian Christian Churches (formerly known as the Australian Assemblies of God (AoG), and Pastor Keith Ainge, the Australian AOG National Secretary in 2000-2004 when Frank Houston was not reported and sheltered.

That’s a pretty big deer you shot in New Zealand Steve. I hope you have a New Zealand or Australian Fire Arms license. Oh well, those are minor details. Just like not reporting a pedophile to the Police, a criminal offence. “She’ll be right mate”.

This incident of roughing up a lesbian and showing her the Hillsong door is pretty rough Steve.

Don’t you think it’s hypocritical that you and the Houstons love Papa Frank, a life-long secret homosexual and pedophile, yet you rough handle a poor defenceless lesbian and throw her out the Hillsong door.

Beverly Houston, Brian Houston’s sister: “Donald (who ever you are) give me a call”

The following remarkable and highly insightful comments by Beverly Houston, Pastor Brian Houston, the current head pastor of Hillsong Global’s, sister, were made on 16 December 2014.

Blog article of 17.12.2014.

Beverly Houston got angry last night about me and my articles about her dad Pastor Frank Houston, self-confessed pedophile and her brother, Pastor Brian Houston, pedophile shelterer and protector, and rejector of his father’s numerous boy victims.

I think Beverly might have been on the house-wife’s sweet remedy (again).

Last time Beverly got angry she let fly with another batch of comments.

The Houston sisters can get quite fiery.

This time Beverly wrote numerous comments on my blog site.

Here they all are published unedited:

Beverly Houston’s comment about my article written on 7 October 2012, “Pastor Frank Houston. Part 2. Pedophile. Frank’s Jackyl and Hyde persona”.

Hope you are all enjoying your witch hunt of Brian Houston, it is not going to help victims of my father. Get real you grow up to think your father is an awesome person and then you find out all this, it takes years to comprehend it. I don’t believe in God but if I did I think you would be all condemned to hell. Think somewhere in the bible it talks about the log in your eye!! You can condemn Brian all you like but I guess at the end of the day he has been a victim of his father too and as sad as I feel for AHA, attacking Brian is not really going to help him heal. I think maybe he should be looking at his mothers position on this!! Very sad.

I don’t have much to say about Peter Lawton, except very different situation, he was a consenting adult!!

Hope you are all enjoying your witch hunt of Brian Houston

Beverly Houston’s comment about my article written on 20 September 2014, “Hillsong. Brian Houston. Part one. Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse. Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston’s spin and cover up over his father Pastor Frank Houston’s eleven or more pedophile and homosexuality victims over four plus decades”.

Hey Donald (who ever you are) just want you to know you are an awesome fuck wit. Are you getting some notoriety out of this, can’t see how in any way this is of help to victims of my father. I do not believe in God, but if I did I would see you as the biggest hypocrite out. You should do some research in to Stan Carter, I have childhood memories!!! Condeming/jailing Brian is not going to help victims, and yes as a family member we are victims too!! Can you imagine the father you looked up to did this, it takes a long time to believe and accept it and yes we feel very sad for AHA but unfortunately his misplaced anger at Brian is not going to help him heal, should have done it before my father had dimensia and made him face up to his own sins, sorry it’s a witch hunt, they weren’t Brian’s sins!!! Just want to say your a hero!!

Hey Donald, and another thought is, don’t you think ‘Rose has a lot to answer for, because I’m god dam sure if my kids said they were molested by someone I would check it out!! I feel very sorry for AHA, I remember him, but he hasn’t tried to track any of us, unfortunately I go by the name of Houston and I’ve never heard from him, if I did I (like Brian) would do any thing to try and help him, I don’t have any money but would try in other ways!! Hate the way you are trying to make my family pay for the sins of our father, Brian included and yes we have all suffered post traumatic syndrome, not that you would understand that cause you are HELPING down trodden people, your awesome!!

Love the way you are all are so virtuous!! Yes apparently my father was a pedophile and for that I feel very sad, but you know what, we were children (including Brian) and yes it has taken us some time to realise these accusations are true because we loved and adored him, but when I read these messages, even though I don’t believe in God I find it amazing the witch hunt on Brian and just want to say you are all amazing christians and I think this is an amazing witch hunt and why is it that this Donald (who ever he may be ) never reported it sooner and maybe could have protected someone, just saying!!! Moron!

just saying!!! Moron!

Hey Donald (who ever you are) you are a wanker, destroying my family is not going to help any victims of my father, but maybe will score you brownie points when you go to heaven hehe. Your awesome you found out about my father and just wondering how long it took you to do anything about it?? your a moron you think by bad mouthing my sisters divorce makes my father look worse, nothing to do with it, your a total wanker, give me a call Beverley Houston (edit: Beverley shares her mobile number) if you have the guts, or are you just trying to make us pay for the sins of our father!!

Hey

Donald (who ever you are) give me a call because as far as I know there are six victims and now suddenly you are reporting 200!! Don’t you think that minimises the victims claim, interested to know if you can give me 200 names, call me I think your a bit like the media and 1 becomes 100, call me I’m interested and no I have no interest in the church, think the whole god thing is a total fast!! but yes I think your after notoriety, and people are sucked in by you, call me!

And don’t fucking say to me Brian won’t pay etc etc. Did he commit these crimes, no he didn’t and he is like the rest of my family trying to come to terms with it it. Get a life as much as I feel sorry for AHA we are suffering to, ask him has he tortured his mother over her disgusting response, put that in the media, absolutely disgusting!! So over this!

And don’t fucking say to me Brian won’t pay etc etc

Brian didn’t try to hide anything, he actually didn’t know, just like all my family and amazingly other people knew (NZ AOG) but you know it’s the usual witch hunt, but you are all amazing christians and when you go to heaven I’m sure you will score brownie points for this. and do you really think AHA will be healed by demonising Brian, I don’t think so, he wasn’t the perpetrator and AHA was 7-12yrs old and Brian has a very different memory of it believe it or not, but he like the rest of my family have no desire to protect our father from the terrible things he did. I am so over this shit Donald that you are portraying Brian as not wanting to pay victims (even though they weren’t his victims), the royal commission is nothing to do with compensation, another one of your attention seeking tactics. Just want to remind everyone that you knew about it before we did and let it go on and now you are trying to make my family look bad, god bless you your awesome I’m sure you will score a very high seat in heaven for being a wanker!! Call me.

My comments:

Beverly supplied me with her mobile phone number. I’ll bear it in mind. If I ever feel like calling someone to be abused.

It’s always a pleasure to have Beverly Houston as a guest on my blog site. Her comments became less coherent, but more passionate as the sauce bit in. But that’s OK. Anytime Beverly. It was nice to hear from you again.

I’d now like to have Beverly’s virtuous brother Brian on this blog-site.

Note of 6 September 2016

Pastor Brian Houston the current head pastor of Hillsong mega-church is to face pedophile protection charges soon.

I have edited the article below reflecting current up to date information.

This article outlines the history of Pastor Frank Houston the founder of Hillsong’s secret sexual abuse of hundreds of little boys, pre-teens and teens over five or more decades, possibly for 70 years if you include his grandchildren and ‘rent boys’ (underage male prostitutes).

This site is the most authoritative and comprehensive site on Hillsong corruption, Houston corruption and Hillsong pedophilia.

This article and its updates

This article was first published on this site on 9 September 2012 prior to the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

It has been updated since as more facts have come to light and more events have unfolded.

Note written on Friday 27 May 2016

I have come to the conclusion from the evidence I’ve compiled over many years and from my experience from 1981 to 2000 as an attender of Hillsong, in the 1980s as a senior lay pastor, and especially since hearing boy victim AHA’s testimony, that the Frank Houston was a lifelong secret pedophile who used the Christian ministry to access little boys and young teens.

In 2000 the pedophile Frank Houston age 60 embarked on a four year homosexual affair with his young 20 year old worship leader Peter Laughton.

Involvement with a 20 year old male was an exception although there is evidence of countless masked homosexual encounters over Frank Houston’s whole lifetime with males over the age of homosexual consent which is 18 in most Western countries.

Pastor Brian Houston the current head of Hillsong Church has been recommended for prosecution for pedophile protection crimes

In October 2015 the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in its Findings recommended Pastor Brian Houston the current head of Hillsong Church be charged with pedophile protection crimes.

Pastor Brian Houston and his Hillsong and Australian Christian Churches leadership mates conspired to shelter Brian’s father, the lifelong pedophile Frank Houston, from the NSW Police.

Note written on 19 October 2014:

In early October 2014, The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse examined the Australian Assemblies of God (which has a new name of Australian Christian Churches), Hillsong and Pastors Frank and Brian Houston.

If you are interested in down-loading the Royal Commission transcripts, testimonies of victims and other relevant documents go to http://www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au.

You can then scroll a few articles further into October 2014 and you’ll see all the articles sequentially in chronological order on “Hillsong. Pastor Brian Houston…” and Royal Commission stuff.

If you know of any pedophile cases involving Pastor Frank Houston at any time anywhere in the world then please send me a message and I’ll email you back so we can confidentially talk about your case by email. No information will be published without your consent.

The following blog article on Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile activities was written on 13 September 2012 and it has been updated regularly as new information becomes available.

Blog article of 13 September 2012 (updated 6 September 2016)

The pedophile Frank Houston was the founder of Hillsong

Pastor Frank Houston was the founder of Hillsong Church in Australia. Hillsong is by far Australia’s largest church numbering 15,000 in Australia. Its headquarters are in Baulkham Hills in Western Sydney.

It has Churches throughout the world in twenty locations. Hillsong claims 30,000 in its network world-wide.

Brian Houston 20

Pastor Frank Houston was for decades the Head of, firstly the New Zealand, and later a prominent leader in the Australian AOG (Assemblies of God) denominations. By the time he confessed to secret pedophile crimes at age 79 he was revered across the Australian and New Zealand Assemblies of God movements. The truth is he was a rotten pedophile all that time- for many decades- probably since he teens.

The Assemblies of God (AOG)

The Assemblies of God (AOG) is a Protestant denomination which started in the early 20th century in America and has spread across the planet. Its emphasis is on the Holy Spirit and the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, like faith, healing and speaking in tongues.

The Protestants

A Protestant denomination is a denomination (international church organisation) whose origins are in “Protesting” against the Church of Rome.

Protesting, often at the greatest risk to their lives, against the Roman Catholic Church’s errant doctrines, its power, its Popes, its Bishops, its mercenary Jesuits of old- and its domination and blood-letting and martyrdom of true believers throughout the world- for over 1700 years until modern times.

If you think I’m exaggerating then google “The Waldenses” who were Protestants the Church of Rome genocided in parts of France in the 16th century or “The Covenanters” who the Church of Rome hunted and wiped out in 17th century Scotland.

The Jesuit mercenaries and Papist rulers of England desecrated their bodies after death and threw their corpses on rubbish tips as a warning to a fearful populace.

These were brave men who gave their lives for the cause of Christ.

Unlike Frank Houston, who was a secret life-long pedophile and covert homosexual, whose coal-black dark secrets which weren’t exposed until the last years of his life.

Pastor Frank Houston. Unclean hands

Frank Houston’s confession to being a lifelong secret pedophile

A two-year investigation of pedophile allegations going back to the 1960s, ordered by his own son, Pastor Brian Houston, and conducted by a prominent Australian AOG clergy, Pastor John Lewis, found that the allegations were true. Frank Houston was banned for life from ever ministering in the AOG in Australia and New Zealand in December 1999 aged 77.

Frank Houston’s life ended in shame in November 2004. He spent his last days contemplating his place in Eternity. The burdens of his dark secrets were troubling his mind until the end. How would God treat him in the Hereafter? These were among many questions which plagued his dark and long-time fully corrupt mind as he faced death’s days. For from the evidence Frank Houston had been a pedophile since his early teens- a period of seventy years.

I knew Frank Houston personally

This blog article is the first in a series of articles in which I will recall information, reflections and personal feelings on this gifted, strange and very tortured man, who I knew very well for two decades. Or at least I thought I did.

I worked closely with Frank through the decade of the 1980s as a builder doing building fit-out and renovations for Christian Life Centre (CLC), Darlinghurst, as Hillsong was known in the early days.

I was also a prominent and successful lay leader with ten home fellowship groups under my care, which I pioneered in the challenging Inner City of Sydney. I attended CLC again for a few years in the mid to late 1990s. I was there when Pastor Frank Houston got stood down and the whole organisation changed its name from Christian Life Centre to Hillsong in 2000.

I should add that I was a strong Christian prior to first attending Hillsong in 1981. This may have kept me safe from allowing Frank Houston to do stuff like lay hands on me in prayer. A highly dangerous event in hindsight for anyone.

Pastor Brian Houston, and others like Pastor Jonathan Wilson, who is now pastoring in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, have tried to sanitise and re-invent Pastor Frank Houston’s life and legacy

Pastor Brian Houston, and others like Pastor Jonathan Wilson, who is now pastoring in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, but has strong links with Brian still, have tried to sanitise and re-invent Pastor Frank Houston’s life and legacy.

The reality is that no amount of spin and re-invention can remove the dark black stains of the seven decades long trail of pedophile, masked homosexual, homosexual and homo-erotic activity that so-called “Pastor” Frank Houston, a complete fallen evil deviate, engaged in.

Pastor Brian Houston

Pastor Brian Houston. Growing fat while while he hangs out the victims of his dad’s abuse to dry. “Sorry victims of dad’s abuse, I’m a leading Christian pastor, but you’re on your own. Have a good life. Sorry again”.

The fourteen boy and young teen known victims

In all I have counted fourteen or more victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile homosexual desires and actions.

Everyone closely associated with this matter senses there are a lot more victims out there.

From the evidence there are over 400 boy, pre-teen and teen victims. Many will not remember the incidents due to psychological defence mechanisms because of the trauma of the sexual abuse event(s).

Plus there would be, from the evidence, over 1000 victims of masked homosexual and pedophile abuse.

Frank Houston: “I was very active as a pedophile in the 1960s and 1970s.”

Pastor Frank Houston, from his own mouth near his death, said to his own son, Pastor Brian Houston, “I was very active as a pedophile at that time”. He was referring to the period from 1960 to 1975, when he was in his 40s to 50s when all the known 12 boy and 2 teen victims were sexually abused by him.

Pastor Frank Houston was doing pedophile activities all his life

I believe Pastor Frank Houston was doing pedophile activities all his life from his early teens.

He got kicked out of the New Zealand Salvation Army in the 1950s. He was a Captain. I believe it was for pedophilia.

Does anyone have any evidence on this? Can anyone talk to the New Zealand Salvation Army?

Frank Houston was a Salvation Army Captain in Auckland, New Zealand.

It was so long ago and I doubt if Salvation Army records about his dismissal accurately reflected what transpired, if they still exist, which is unlikely. What organisation except Hillsong would still love its founder? Only a very corrupt one and I know of no other church organisation as corrupt as Hillsong from head to basement where dead boys bones line the walls and are scattered on the ground (metaphorically speaking for the benefit of Hillsong lawyers who read this blog-site in addition to Hillsong hackers- the Hillsong IT techs who hack and harass for their Prosperity gospel fake Jesus).

Pastor Frank Houston was a criminal pedophile who used the Christian pastor’s ministry as a foil, disguise and camouflage in order to gain the confidence and trust of innocent believing Christian families so he could access their children undetected for the purposes of sexually abusing them

Pastor Frank Houston was a criminal pedophile who used the Christian pastor’s ministry as a foil, disguise and camouflage in order to gain the confidence and trust of innocent believing Christian families so he could access their children undetected for the purposes of sexually abusing them.

Pastor Frank Houston was never genuine in anything he did. He mocked us all. How could a man be a genuine Christian pastor when he was secretly a life-long hardened criminal pedophile? Its not possible.

Boy victim AHA

The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse on 7 October 2014 at a Hearing in Sydney revealed a witness AHA, who was abused in the Sydney suburb of Coogee when he was an innocent little boy aged 7 to 12 years old, in the late 1960s and 1970s.

Boy victim AHA was brave enough to testify anonymously in person.

It made me cry.

It was real bad stuff indeed.

It made me very angry, particularly since Pastor Brian Houston, the son of Pastor Frank Houston, like Pilate in the Bible who washed his hands of responsibility for Jesus prior to his death, has washed his hands of responsibility to help and care for the boy and teen victims of his dad’s abuse, who are now in their 50s and early 60s.

If you go to my blog articles starting on Tuesday 7 October 2014, you’ll find all the horrific details of Pastor Frank Houston’s abuse of victim AHA including genitalia fondling, digital anal penetration, masturbation of the victim as he reached early puberty, and Frank Houston using and getting the victim to pleasure him over a period of five years.

My source is AHA’s testimony on Day One of the Royal Commission’s examination of Hillsong, where AHA spoke for most of the day.

Its tragic, graphic, sordid, horrific and completely culpable by Hillsong, the Australian AOG and Pastor Brian Houston.

Pastor Brian Houston has tried for 14 years to bury it, sanitise it, but like a Frankenstein monster it has jumped from the grave and is now attacking and tormenting Pastor Brian Houston, his supporters and the whole Houston clan of three generations.

Frank Houston has long departed but the corruption lives on in the errant and corrupt behaviour of his offspring, particularly in the life and deeds of Pastors Brian and Bobbie Houston, the current Head of Hillsong mega-church.

The Fourteen Known Boy and Young Teen Victims

The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse also mentioned six other little boy victims of Pastor Frank Houston in New Zealand in the 1960s. But there are many more.

I have been writing since September 2012 that there were six 10 year old boy victims of Frank Houston in Lower Hutt, New Zealand in the 1960s.

Here is my head count of child sex abuse victims of Frank Houston:

I have evidence of 14 or more mainly boy victims.

I have evidence of two teen victims, Peter Fowler, who went public in the 1970s with the encouragement of the now deceased prophet Pastor Philip Powell and teen victim ANZ1 (my code-name) who suicided as a direct result of Frank Houston’s sexual abuse.

From the testimony of the boy victims and the circumstantial evidence, I believe there were over four hundred victims of Frank Houston’s abuse. He confessed to Brian Houston, his son, in circa 1999, that he was very active as a pedophile, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s.

Here are the boy victims aged 7 to 12, and one teenager aged 15 years old:

1. Six 10 year old boys Pastor Frank Houston molested while Head Pastor of Lower Hutt Assemblies of God (AOG), Wellington, New Zealand in the 1960s, while at the same time, General Superintendent of the New Zealand AOG (from 1965 to 1977).

2. Sydney boy victim AHA, as above revealed on Day One of Hillsong’s time at the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse on 7 October 2014.

This is a particularly sordid case of repeated child sexual abuse of a little 7 year old boy by Pastor Frank Houston which continued for 5 years.  I have covered this case in detail in my blogs on the Royal Commission starting on the 7 October 2014.

3. One 15 year old boy, Peter Fowler, in the Lower Hutt AOG, New Zealand. The Lower Hutt AOG paid out Peter, but it wasn’t much money.

4. At least 4 boy victims at Assemblies of God Church camps in South Australia in the early 1970s. See my blogs on victim SA1 (my code name for him) dated 16 and 17 October 2014. SA1 was aged 11 years old at the tie of the abuse.

5. One young man in Auckland, New Zealand, ANZ1 (my code-name) who suicided as a result of the abuse. He was in his late teens.

I sense there are a lot more New Zealand boy, pre-teen and teen male victims.

7. One boy aged 8 years old, in a suburb near Tawa, Wellington, New Zealand. My code name for him is WNZ1. The abuse was very similar to the Royal Commission victim AHA.

WNZ1 believes there were more boy abuse victims in his suburb. See my blogs date 18 and 19 October 2014.

TOTAL: 14 and many more victims. 400 plus boy and teen victims based on the evidence.

The First Hillsong

Christian Life Centre was the name of Hillsong and other Hillsong branches in the late 1970s and 1980s.

Boy victim SA1 from Adelaide South Australia

One of the victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s child sexual abuse at Kleimzeg Assemblies of God camps in South Australia in the early 1970s, SA1, contacted me after reading articles about Pastor Frank Houston on this blog site. He shared there were several other victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile abuse at these camps.

The epicentre of Frank Houston’s pedophile activities at these South Australian camps was the boy’s toilet block.

The abuse involved the fondling of little boys genitalia and masturbation in the toilet block and bunk room. Pastor Frank Houston was very confident, blazen, perverse and tactile.

Yes Pastor Frank Houston. The greatest and most prominent AOG Pastor in Australia and New Zealand from 1970s to 1998, when the truth of his duality emerged.

Frank Houston was a secretive, manipulative, sordid, dishonest and heartless criminal pedophile for 70 years from the 1930s until his death in 2004.

Pastor Brian Houston’s lies about the number of victims continues to this day

The official line of Hillsong Church and Pastor Brian Houston was that his father, Pastor William Francis “Frank” Houston only abused one boy in New Zealand 40 years ago.

This is the line that they held from the late 1990s to the Royal Commission in October 2014.

This is the view that was on their web-site for over a decade. When I was researching articles I wrote about Frank Houston and his pedophile activities in 2012, Hillsong’s website and all the accounts by Pastor Brian Houston and Hillsong media reflected this great lie.

This is the view they have told the Sydney Morning Herald and other newspapers.

This view is totally inaccurate and a blatant lie by Brian Houston.

It emerged at the Royal Commission that Pastor Brian Houston has known that this official view was untrue and a lie all this time.

Folks we’ve been all been deceived.

What is still lacking from Frank’s son, Pastor Brian Houston and the Hillsong Movement, which Brian controls, is any real degree of honesty and openness about Frank Houston.

For example, why won’t Brian and the AOG release the official AOG report on Frank Houston’s pedophile activities?

Why didn’t Brian admit his father did numerous pedophile and homosexual acts, and not just one, like Brian portrayed for 14 years, until the Royal Commission exposed his lies? Why do Brian lie to us all? How can Brian lie like this and be a prominent Christian pastor?

Why is Brian Houston still lying about the number of victims telling Sydney’s channel nine reporter Leila McKinnon earlier this year when she asked how many victims Brian believes there are now, Brian hesitantly replied “six”. This is despite Brian knowing about at least 8 victims in 1999 and at least 9 victims in 2004. Why lie Brian? Who is the Father of Lies?

Was Brian Houston sexually abused by his rampant pedophile father Frank?

And the question lingers, was Pastor Brian Houston himself, or his brother Graeme, sexually abused by their father Frank?

Maybe that’s too personal for Brian to admit, if anything occurred.

Or maybe he can’t remember.

These dark memories are normally suppressed and buried by the defence mechanisms of the human psyche.

Brian’s brother Graeme has refused to attend church since his teens. Why?

Further, were Brian and Graeme aware of the accusations against his father while he was a lad?

The pre-adolescent little boys Pastor Frank Houston sexually abused in Lower Hutt were Brian and Graeme’s age at the time.

Brian even stayed with his dad at AHA’s family home in Coogee, while his father lay on top of victim AHA all night and abused him for the week of their stay on one of the many visits. One can see why pedophile Frank Houston liked to go to Sydney and stay at AHA’s parent’s house. Disgusting.

The pedophile Frank Houston’s overseas “evangelistic” trips overseas were really sex holidays away from his wife and people who he was accountable to.

Details of boy victim AHA’s sexual abuse

While Pastor Frank Houston lay on top of little 7 year old AHA, who is now 52, the skinny spider-like Pastor Frank Houston sexually molested him. He fondled his genitals, he fondled his little thighs and bottom, and he digitally penetrated him. AHA shared on Tuesday 7 October 2014 at the Royal Commission that he froze with fear.

Boy victim AHA wondered, why was this hero of the faith, a godly man who my mum and dad loved, doing this to me?

Victim AHA lay frozen with fear as Frank Houston, the pariah, lay on top of him all night. The cats howled, the night birds cackled as the do in Australia, the dogs barked down the street and the garbos rattled their bins, and all this time through those long chill hours, Pastor Frank Houston lay on top of AHA doing awful creepy very perverse things to AHA.

If you think I’m being too graphic, this is what AHA said at the Royal Commission. These are the facts the Royal Commission’s lawyer, Simeon Beckett, read out. These are the facts that AHA read out from his witness statement on Tuesday 7 October 2014 at the Royal Commission into Child Abuse in Sydney.

You can read AHA’s testimony at the Commission on http://www.childabuseroyalcommission.gov.au

Pastor Brian Houston accused victim AHA of tempting his dad and being the cause of all the trouble for his dad

It is interesting to note that victim AHA, who spoke anonymously at the Royal Commission, stated that Pastor Brian Houston accused victim AHA of tempting his dad and being the cause of all the trouble for his dad.

Pastor Brian Houston has denied this. I believe victim AHA because he sounded very honest and very coherent. Pastor Brian Houston hasn’t been honest about all this stuff for over 14 years.

The Royal Commission has also revealed how Hillsong, the AOG and Pastor Brian Houston have been heartless towards child abuse victims of Pastor Frank Houston and other AOG Pastor and leader pedophiles.

If you read my blogs on 7 to 10 October you’ll get drift.

Pastor Brian Houston the head pastor of Hillsong mega-church, a very wealthy “church” organisation, has refused to help the boy and young teen victims in any way

Brian at the Royal Commission

At the Royal Commission on 9 October, when Pastor Brian Houston was the star witness, he wiggled and swirmed in the hot seat of the witness box. Then he straight out said they won’t help the victims in any way. The reasons are outlined in my blog articles on this site of 9 and 10 October 2104.

Peter Laughton’s homosexual affair with Frank Houston

Since Peter Laughton, Pastor Frank Houston’s young worship leader, went public in 2007 about Frank’s abuse of him in the early 1980s, the Houston family have taken the line that Peter Laughton was a consenting male with their father Frank. In his early 20s at the time of his abuse in the early 1980s, Peter was over the age of consent which is 18 in Australia for consenting homosexual acts.

But is it ok before God for the most prominent AOG clergy in Australia and New Zealand, aged 58, to indulge in numerous sordid homosexual acts with his young worship leader?

At the time the homosexual liaison started Pastor Frank Houston was 58 and Peter was 20.

I fail to see how the Houston’s can dismiss this series of incidents with Peter Lawton so readily.

Pastor Frank Houston was attracted to boys, adolescent boys and men in their 20s. His sexual orientation was young and male

Pastor Frank Houston. Total deviate and con-artist.

Pastor Frank Houston. Total deviate and con-artist.

Pastor Frank Houston was attracted to boys, adolescent boys and men in their 20s. His sexual orientation was young and male.

Pastor Frank Houston was an active secret pedophile and homosexual particularly from the 1960s to the 1980s.

By 1990 he was 68 and his homosexual and pedophile libido seemed to have dropped off. I haven’t found any pedophile dirty old man Houston victims.

A reader of this site commented recently that he knew Frank Houston in the 1950s at Ellerslie AOG in Auckland, New Zealand. He wrote in a comment on this site that Pastor Frank Houston had fixation about male swimmers. There were some NZ Olympic swimmers training. A young Pastor Frank Houston used to go down to the local swimming pool to watch them training and perve on them.

If you knew Pastor Frank Houston at this time and you know of pedophile incidents could you please contact me. I suspect his pedophile activities started earlier than Lower Hutt AOG.

Frank Houston was sexually abused by his father

At the Royal Commission, Pastor Brian Houston told the Commission that his dad had been abused by his father. In fact this is no secret because Pastor Frank use to share about this from the pulpit at Christian Life Centre in the 1980s.

Pastor Frank Houston openly shared how his dad was very mean to him and his mum. That his dad had an affair with the woman next door and other bad stuff. The ABC of Psychology says that people who were sexually abused as children often go on to sexually abuse children when they are older/ become adults. That’s a big subject.

Peter Laughton spoke to the Sydney Morning Herald

If you google “Frank Houston” or “Frank Houston abuse” you’ll find plenty of transcript of detailed sordid accounts of Frank Houston’s sexual activities with Peter Laughton.

Peter has given interviews to the Sydney Morning Herald.

In these interviews Peter speaks honestly and candidly about the homo-erotic activities Frank Houston led him to do. It’s interesting yet very sad reading.

Please bear in mind that Frank Houston was aged 58, and the most prominent AOG clergy at the time, and he was abusing a vulnerable and needy young man aged 20 who was his Church worship leader. Heavy stuff indeed.

The investigation and being caught

The release of the official AOG Report on Frank Houston’s pedophile activities is a document which would be helpful to the victims of Frank Houston’s pedophile activities. What is more important? Protecting Frank Houston’s legacy and reputation, the Houston name and Hillsong’s reputation, or allowing some healing and closure, not only to Frank’s numerous pedophile victims, but also to the countless others who were part of Christian Life Centre and Hillsong in the early days and who were deeply hurt and shattered by revelations of Frank’s secret activities.

Frank’s pedophile activities were not destined to remain a secret to his grave. By the late 90s the chorus of complaints was to become deafening. The AOG, and in particular, the then National Chief Executive Pastor Brian Houston, his son, were forced to investigate and do something about it.

Christian Life Centre Darlinghurst the second name for Hillsong

I personally knew Peter Laughton at Christian Life Centre Darlinghurst.

Peter was very talented singer, song-writer and composer. A nice guy. Sensitive. Artistic.

No one had any idea that Frank Houston aged 58 and a revered pastor and his worship leader Peter Laughton age 20 were involved in a four year homosexual affair from 1980 to 1984.

Extraordinary talent

In those days Frank had gathered together some extraordinary musical talent.

Frank had recruited Pastor David Johnston from Los Angeles to found international Institute of Creative Ministries (IICM), a music, singing and dance Ministries School. David worked at Wesley College for decades since these times. David is a very talented pastor, violinist, composer and worship leader.

Trevor King was also there. Trevor now lives in Auckland,  New Zealand. Trevor is very talented on the piano and led the band and was the Music Pastor.

Geoff Bullock is another muso who owes his success to the Houstons. Unfortunately Geoff’s personal life became a train-wreck when his marriage fell over and his ministry has never recovered to the heights of his success under the Houstons. Particularly under Pastor Brian Houston.

Pastor Brian Houston is truly a king-maker. So much talent. So many scandals.

Peter- looking for father love

Peter Laughton is a really nice guy.

Outgoing, talented and sensitive.

In Frank, Peter has said that he was looking for father love. The kind of love Frank gave him was secretive, self-gratifying and impure.

The pedophile is secretive and motivated by deep impure needs and impulses

The pedophile is secretive and motivated by deep impure needs and impulses that they find impossible to control. Their victims are really just objects of their desire. There is no care or love towards their victims. For the pedophile it is “all about me”.

I wrote another 13 articles, which are on this blog-site, on this subject of Pastor Frank Houston from 13 September 2012.

My memories of the man and what I experienced during the 1980s and 1990s while attending Hillsong Church.

I have written over 200 other articles on Hillsong and the Royal Commission.

Frank Houston is the worst Pentecostal Pastor in the history of the planet.

I have come to the conclusion that Pastor Frank Houston is the worst Pentecostal Pastor in the history of the planet.

To do what Frank Houston did to little boys and teens all his lifetime, while maintaining the front of a holy man of God is the very gravest of sins known to mortal man.

Since I wrote this article in September 2012, and since the Royal Commission examined the Houstons and Hillsong, Simeon Beckett, the Royal Commission barrister, publicly recommended in December 2014 that Pastor Brian Houston be criminally charged by the NSW Police for not reporting and for sheltering a pedophile, his old life-long pedophile father, Pastor Frank Houston, the  founder of the Hillsong organisation.

In October 2015 the Royal Commission recommended Brian Houston for prosecution in its Findings.

Brian. Taking over everything with his blurred amoral approach.

Brian. Confused about his sexual theology, his relationship with his old child rapist dad, and his fiduciary and legal duties, under Australian and NSW Law, as the leader of a major Christian Church Institution.

This article was published by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation on 23 November 2015, after the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

The Royal Commission was established by former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard in late 2012, in response to revelations of widespread historic child sexual abuse conducted in institutions throughout Australia.

At the time, there was massive publicity about extremely gross, and sometimes very violent, sexual assaults on children by Roman Catholic priests.

In the Newcastle-Maitland Dioceses and in parts of Victoria like Ballarat, the NSW and Victorian Governments had established Royal Commissions to investigate these problems in the Roman Catholic Church.

It was felt that the problem was far worse and far more widespread than the Roman Catholic Church.

This has proved to be the case with widespread pedophilia revealed in almost all churches and sects in Australia. This has also been the case in Australian public and private schools, public and church run orphanages and child care facilities, and other government and private child-related Institutions.

The Roman Catholic Church has major pedophilia and homosexual issues to deal with all over the world. When an Institution supresses God-created sexuality, frustrated human nature has to find an outlet somewhere. Mankind’s strong desire for sexual, romantic, psychological and emotional fulfilment in partnership with a spouse is a wonderful, normal and natural God-created reality.

When mankind messes with, or disobeys, God’s created order things go pear-shape.

If mankind paused more often to consider the planet and cosmos from God’s creative intelligence, a lot of problems could be avoided. Mankind’s inability to do this is, to a large extent, a spiritual blindness associated with the fall of man.

The following article isn’t very deep or thorough, however it’s of value in that the ABC is one of Australia’s leading media outlets and it is Government funded.

The ABC is independent and can criticise anything, including the government of the day.

No media outlet in Australia is impressed with Hillsong or Brian Houston.

They all rightly think that Brian Houston is a greedy, errant religious fraud and rogue. This is an accurate perception.

The Australian media and general public is becoming more and more aware that Brian Houston is heading for his comeuppance.

There is a widespread feeling in the Australian community that Australia would be better off without Hillsong, its cons and and its heartlessness to the boy victims of its founder Frank Houston’s sexual abuse.

Brian Houston, the founder of the Hillsong Church, failed to alert the police about allegations his father had sexually assaulted children, and had a conflict of interest when he assumed responsibility for dealing with the accusations, a royal commission has found.

In October 2014 the royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse examined the responses of the Assemblies of God in Australia (now Australian Christian Churches) to allegations against three men, including Frank Houston, a preacher who helped build the Pentecostal movement in Australia and who died in 2004.

Frank Houston had abused up to nine boys in Australia and New Zealand, and in its final report on the case released on Monday, the commission found multiple failings within the church executive – at the time led by Frank Houston’s son Brian – in responding.

Both the New South Wales executive and the national executive failed to follow its complaints procedure when handling the allegations, the royal commission found in its report.
Hillsong leader’s father ‘still preached after suspension for sex abuse’

The royal commission found both executives failed to appoint a contact person for the victim (referred to as AHA), did not interview AHA about his allegations, did not interview Frank Houston, and did not record any of the steps it took.

The royal commission also found neither the national executive nor Brian Houston referred the allegations to police, and determined Houston “had a conflict of interest in assuming responsibility for dealing with AHA’s allegations because he was both the National President of the Assemblies of God in Australia and the son of Mr Frank Houston, the alleged perpetrator”.

The October hearings heard from AHA, who said he had been sexually abused by Frank Houston in 1969 and 1970 as a seven- and eight-year-old boy, when the preacher would stay with AHA’s family on visits to Sydney.

AHA told the commission he remembered Frank Houston coming into his room “nearly every night of the week” on his Sydney visits, and sexually assaulting him.

AHA also alleged Frank Houston abused him when they were alone in an office, and at an evangelical camp in Windsor.

“The abuse in my home and at the different church meetings continued over a period of years until I reached puberty,” AHA told the commission. “Pastor Frank wanted nothing to do with me after I reached puberty.”

AHA told his mother in 1978 but she warned him off pursuing it as the Houstons “were almost like royalty” in church circles. His mother eventually brought the allegations to the church decades later.

Brian Houston, who was then the national president of the Assemblies of God, confronted his father with the allegations in 1999 and the preacher confessed.

Brian Houston called a meeting of the national executive, and relinquished the chair, but remained present during discussions on the allegations and disciplinary actions against his father.

The Assemblies of God executive began investigations – later discovering a further eight alleged victims of Frank Houston – but did not to make them public, telling its churches in a letter from Brian Houston there was “no reason” for it to be announced as others may use it to further their agendas, the commission heard.

Brian Houston defended his failure to go to the police, despite having no doubt it was criminal conduct, and told the royal commission in October 2014 the revelations about his father had hit him in “waves”.

“I was like, ‘homosexual?’ getting my head around that, then thinking, ‘A minor? Hold on, we’re not just talking about homosexual, we’re talking about paedophilia’,” he said.

Brian Houston had told the commission his father was stood down instantly, and Frank Houston “never, ever preached again anywhere after I confronted him”. However evidence to the commission revealed he continued to preach in Canberra the following month.

“Pastor Brian Houston and the Australian Christian Churches provided no written evidence recording the suspension of Mr Frank Houston’s credential to the royal commission,” the report said.

Frank Houston gave up preaching and retired in late 2000, and the national executive allowed him to publicly resign, with a retirement package, and “without damage to his reputation or the reputation of Hillsong church,” the commission’s report said.

AHA had also told the commission he met Frank Houston and another church member at a McDonalds, where the preacher offered him $10,000 and asked him to sign a dirty napkin, allegedly saying, “I don’t want this on my head when I stand in front of God.”

AHA said Frank Houston told him to call Brian Houston if there were problems, but when the money did not appear two months later Brian Houston responded: “You know it’s your fault all of this happened – you tempted my father,” AHA told the commission.

Houston denied the accusation in a statement outside the royal commission. He also denied trying to hide his involvement in the meeting from the royal commission, and sought to distance Hillsong from the abuse, saying people should understand the abuse claims being examined happened before Hillsong existed, “when I was a teenager myself”.

On Monday Hillsong church said it supported the objectives of the royal commission, but sought to distance itself from the findings. “The royal commission did not directly involve Hillsong church,” and the abuse by Frank Houston “occurred many years before Hillsong Church existed”, the church board and elders said in a statement.

In response to the findings of a conflict of interest, they said it was “easy to look back many years in hindsight”.

“Pastor Brian acted in the best way he felt at the time and took decisive and immediate action against his own father,” read the statement. “We are confident that the actions of Pastor Brian, from the moment he discovered the news about his father, were done with the best intentions towards the victim.

“The findings of the royal commission confirmed that his actions resulted in the perpetrator being immediately removed from ministry.”

The statement also said several other people knew of the abuse before Brian Houston, and noted as an “indisputable” fact that AHA was a 36-year-old adult and “could have taken the matter to police himself at any time”.

In the 16 years since the revelations, “no one had ever advised that this historical complaint coming from a mature adult needed to be reported to the police,” the church said.

A spokeswoman for the Australia Christian Churches said it had “actively addressed many of the points that emerged at the royal commission hearing … and will continue to do so to build a stronger culture of transparency and accountability when it comes to creating a safe environment for children and youth.”

A binding child protection policy was adopted by the national conference in April this year, the statement noted, and every local church was aware of its responsibilities towards protecting children.

It also defended Brian Houston, saying again the victim was an adult who had expressed a wish the abuse not be reported to police.

Brian Houston: "The four hundred victims of my father Frank's abuse all didn't want me to go to the Police. So I organised safe haven for dad at Hawkesbury by the river, in case one of his victims or their brother, friend or relative wanted to kill him".

My comments

The Australian Christian Churches told the ABC: “A binding child protection policy was adopted by the national conference in April this year, the statement noted, and every local church was aware of its responsibilities towards protecting children”.

The Australian Christian Churches also defended Brian Houston, saying again that “the victim was an adult who had expressed a wish the abuse not be reported to police”.

Its sickening, from the point of view of AHA and the other boy and young teen victims of the evil criminal pedophile Frank Houston, that Hillsong and particularly Brian Houston, Frank Houston’s only church-going son, are in denial about their pedophile protection crimes.

Oh well, we’ll just have to leave it to the Australian Criminal Justice System to educate them. Something the Australian Criminal Justice System has been very adept at doing, since convict days.

THE HILLSONG PHENOMENA AND THE BLACKING OUT OF THE CHURCH

Hillsong Mt. Gravatt, Brisbane.

We have embarked upon a kind of ‘spying out the land’ jaunt over the last few weeks. We have felt that it was the right time to get a look at churches in Brisbane and to see what is going on there. Because our background is largely evangelical/Pentecostal, we tended towards either Pentecostal churches or Baptist churches. I was baptised in a Baptist church so I have a particular fondness for that tradition. We aren’t familiar with the more classical denominations like Anglican or Lutheran and find that those formalised patterns of service are not what we really want to support, especially after ten years of wandering in the wilderness. So we knocked on a few Baptist doors over recent months and this morning visited an AOG, or Australian Christian Churches church on the Northside.

We were naturally cautious since we saw what Hillsong did to Garden City Christian Church, my old stomping ground in the 80s. We have seen how Hillsong turned the sanctuary black. It had previously been high-ceilinged, well lit from both behind and the side by large ceiling to floor glass door/windows. The seating had been a rich red, the paneling a light pine and the bricks a pale cream. It was always a beautiful building to sit in, filled with natural light which certainly didn’t detract from the stage. Yet now from the outside all you can see are blackened windows. I have recently seen a photograph of it’s interior and there are the black seats and the black walls now as well. We know what Hillsong have done to the gospel, and you can read more of their particular brand of evangelical Christianity here. Many churches in Brisbane, notably the Pentecostal variety have followed Hillsong’s peculiar methods and practice of religion. They sing Hillsong music (suitably attributed due to copyright infringement laws), they set up their stages in a Hillsong way with lead singers, backing singers, drums, keyboard bass and other types of string instruments and also the brass and woodwind accompaniment.

Hillsong VII

Hillsong was not the first church in Australia to have contemporary music and audio-visual accompaniment in its worship service. But it certainly is the originator of the ‘rock-concert venue’ and ‘entertainment focused worship’ styles which are now so common.

When I attended Garden City Christian Church in the early eighties we had a large stage to hold a large band, there were screens which showed the words. None of this is particularly offensive or anti-scriptural. The music for its time was probably more popular contemporary style than old-fashioned hymns, but we sang both with gusto. We ‘sang in the spirit’ in worship services, prayed for the sick, welcomed words of prophecy or knowledge and generally accepted the moving of the Spirit. It was a relatively healthy meeting in which people were being touched by God. Presumably certain denominations, including the Baptists at the time, would have frowned on our ‘swinging from the chandeliers’, but there was nothing untoward going on. There was no rolling on the floor making animal noises, no expectations of visitations by angels or weird manifestations as there are in a lot of pentecostal churches. Occasionally people who came for an altar call and were prayed for were ‘slain in the spirit’, but these were managed carefully and with discretion and everything was done in order. I believe there was a great deal wrong with those in charge in those days, considering Reg Klimionok was caught with his hand in the till not long after I left, but in general the services were fairly conservative compared with the meetings held in AOG chuches today.

Hillsong Command Centre

HILLSONG NEW AND OLD

Hillsong back then was known as Hills Christian Life Centre and was pastored by Frank Houston, Brian’s dad.

Even back then though, Hillsong was contributing to the worship styles of Garden City. I remember well that we had a seminar led by Trevor King, a musician and worship leader from Hillsong who in another life had been in a band called Railroad Gin. He was there to teach those who were interested in new styles of worship leading. Trevor was a musician, but he also had some strange ideas about God.

Trevor King. Very talented musician. Pianist. Frank Houston’s Music Director at CLC Darlinghurst. One of “The Bishops Boys”. PS. Only in a spiritual sense.

I remember one cold morning Trevor mentioned that he had been in the shower and God told him to turn off the hot water. God apparently wanted him to have a cold shower for some reason. Trevor seemed to think that any voice which came to him and ordered him to do weird things was from God. This seems to my mind to be symptomatic of the type of discernment which has been shown by those who lead churches of this nature. They are big on the mystical voices and experiences which many believe should accompany a genuine walk with God, but not so big on the testing of those same voices and experiences. Trevor came across to me at the time as a very young and enthusiastic Christian who seemed exited about sharing his faith and love of God. I don’t think Frank was fathering him in the way he needed, nor do I think any of the Houstons have the capacity for true fathering.

They seem to be more interested in the superficial rather than the hidden person of the heart, despite frequent allusions to the same.

Citipointe church – Christian Outreach Centre another Hillsong clone

So back to our visit to the Northside ACC church. We were not interested in attending a worship service with music so loud you couldn’t hear yourself or anyone else sing. We didn’t see the point of that. Nor did we want to be part of Hillsong, nor did we want to be in a Hillsong cloned church since they are more or less the same thing.

We said to one another that if this church had a blackened interior we would not bother to stay. Yes, I suppose that is a bit pre-emptive, but in our experience when a church gets to the point that they want to change the interior of their sanctuary so dramatically they have succumbed to entirely bleak and literally dark influences. They are also committing themselves wholeheartedly to the Hillsong brand. There is really no point in looking much further than this despite it being an assessment based on superficial appearance.

Once we had made it past the honour guard of ‘greeters’ at the front door who were three deep on each side and handing out bits of paper (it was worse than election day), we emerged into the foyer. I might point out here that the multitude of people welcoming at the door is another Hillsong format. From there we could see another doorway into the inner sanctum. Six more ‘greeters’ were lined up at that doorway and the interior of this section was completely black; black carpets, chairs, walls, ceiling and stage. My daughter noticed that the children’s church which was beyond one of the corridors off the foyer was also blacked out in similar style. This to my mind is not just committing to the Hillsong brand, it is causing its little ones to stumble. Children love colour and light and are often scared of the dark. Why expose them to a wholly adult and frankly not terribly wholesome experience in the tenderness of their youth. But, if the adults are convinced there is nothing wrong with this, they are probably not concerned about their children. This is a whole ‘nother subject and not one I can do justice to here, suffice to say that the abdication of responsibility by Christian parents to the youth or Sunday School leaders has contributed to more than just the delinquency of minors in many cases.

Hillsong love darkness

Hillsong live in the darkness

The stage was there, the noise deflectors for the drums (not a good sign) and the Stepford wife type expressions on the faces of those asking us if we were OK when we stepped aside for a family conference to decide what we were going to do, all convinced us to take a hike. So we went out again. This time the greeters didn’t say much at all, and we managed to make a break for it without any cheery responses. They probably were not primed with appropriate phrases for those wanting to leave before the service stated. “Have a nice day” comes to mind, but then that would require thinking outside the square and or recognising that we wanted to get away from them. An uncomfortable and puzzling thought for the Hillsong devotee.

CHURCH INTERIORS AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD

In the past church interiors and exteriors were built in a way which reflected their faith and the Kingdom of God. Churches were built in the shapes of crosses. Their windows depicted scenes from the bible. The colours chosen reflected the symbolism found in scripture ; red, blue, gold, purple, all depicting either God or man and the relationship between the two. Interiors of churches have always been detailed and exquisitely beautiful with vaulted ceilings to represent the heavens and to aid the transmission of the sound of both preaching and singing. I remember standing in Christchurch Cathedral before the earthquake destroyed it. It had a magnificent echo as many churches do. The modern day sanctuaries are not church buildings. Their exteriors resemble warehouses or commercial buildings. Their interiors are set up to facilitate artificial noise projection not to enhance natural vocal or instrumental sound. Their seating is not placed to create a sense of wonder and awe at the craftsmanship and love poured into the physical environment and in turn to encourage the meditation upon the wonder of God. Seating is entirely utilitarian and focused on the stage where the talent is lit and enhanced in order to replicate a theatre or light and sound show. They have destroyed any atmosphere of quiet reverence and worship and replaced it with a black womb in which the distortion of light and sound, preaching and understanding, communication and worship are paramount.

Hillsong IT 2

Hillsong Australia has both introduced and promulgated this form of church environment along with the theology which both informs and supports it. It is a hideous malformation of the gospel and the gathering of people who are supposed to be adoring the one true and living God. Instead they are worshipping the people who are singing and playing and being bodily and sensorily overwhelmed by the visual and auditory explosion which accompanies them.

This kind of church service has more in common with the current ‘reality tv’ obsession with talent shows. You feel like you are joining an audience which is about to see the finale of “Australia’s Idol’s Got X Factor Voice Talent”. The huge audiences, the strobing lights, the host with the microphone, the singers, band and backing singers are all there. All you need to do is vote for your favourite personality.

Hillsong Church formats

Hillsong Church formats

You don’t have to be an AOG church or even a Pentecostal/charismatic church in order to see the Hillsong stamp. The outlines might be blurred, but the intention is there. A number of Baptist chuches we visited recently have turned their church buildings into Hillsong type venues. There are the sound systems, the sound desk, the audio visual screens and the Hillsong songs, but there is also the prosperity gospel preaching, the propensity for dividing the huge congregations into smaller easier to corral groups. There is the head pastor, the associate pastors, the pastors of the various groups in the church such as women, children, youth, young adults, seniors, various ethnic groups, evangelism, missions, creative arts just to name a few. There is the church vision, the church website, the church mission statement, the church board, the church elders or deacons and the church outreach. These are no longer churches, these are corporations. Much has already been written about the corporatizing of the church in America, but here in Australia, we are simply an extension of this phenomenon.

Hillsong's gospel of greed and avarice.

Hillsong’s gospel of greed and avarice.

While my background is in the Assemblies of God in Australia, I am able to see how this denomination has always been less focused on scripture and the preaching of the gospel and more focused on enlarging it’s tent and preaching a prosperity gospel. Klimionok was informed by his obsession with Paul Yonggi Cho and his huge South Korean “Yoido Full Gospel Church” AOG church which back then boasted tens of thousands and apparently reached the million mark a few years ago. Cho was apparently convicted for tax evasion in February of this year.

Dr David Yonggi Cho going to Court. Now disgraced.

Dr Paul (now called himself David) Yonggi Cho going to Court. Now disgraced.

I remember him preaching once about his desire to have booths situated up the back of the church which would facilitate translation for ethnic groups which didn’t have a good grasp of English. We had a large prayer room situated on the top of the church in a kind of attic which was accessed by some stairs and a winding staircase much like the prayer caves in Korea. Make no mistake, Klimionok was determined to make Garden City like the church in Korea, and believed it was possible. What he forgot was that we are not Korea, we don’t have the same numbers of Christians and our population is vastly smaller. We have neither the funds nor the numbers to create another South Korean giga-church. It never happened. As I said, Klimionok fell from grace, moved to the States still pushing his prosperity gospel. Since Klimionok was caught with his hand in the til, and Yonggi Cho was recently caught for tax evasion, there was probably more in common with these two men than I initially thought. Garden City was never the same after that and after a few changes of head pastor it tended to languish somewhat. A state from which it was ‘rescued’ some decades later by Hillsong. Clearly the powers that be in the ACC administration felt that Brisbane needed a Hillsong, and Garden City needed a bomb under it. They achieved both and now the ‘revived’ Mt. Gravatt campus is home to so many faithful on a Sunday that they need the presence of the local police to ensure traffic flow on the main road outside the carpark.

Hillsong took over Garden City and it is my concern that they are also ‘taking over’ the rest of the evangelical/Pentecostal church in this country. So many churches look to Hillsong as their inamorata. Nobody seems willing to either stop and check what it is that is so appealing or why they feel that Hillsong has ‘made it’ while the rest of them need to create themselves in her image. It is a disturbing phenomenon and not one which I am proud to own as an Australian Christian.

On the Hillsong official website Hillsong.com, Brian and Bobbie Houston as described as follows:

“Brian and Bobbie
Senior Pastors of Hillsong Church

Brian Houston

As a leader, Pastor Brian Houston is highly regarded for his boldness, innovation and vision. As a church pastor, he is well-respected for his passion for the cause of Christ and the local church, and for preaching messages that change mindsets and ministries. But at HOME – Hillsong Church – Pastor Brian is most loved for being the ‘dad of the house’ – a pastor who loves God and people, and a speaker of life who declares, ‘The best is yet to come’.

Bobbie Houston

Pastor Bobbie Houston is passionate about seeing all people find Jesus as their Saviour, gain a revelation of their value in Him and rise up to make a stand for justice on the earth. She is a beloved Pastor with a prophetic teaching gift, and she has redefined the face of ‘women’s ministry,’ raising up a strong and capable company of women through a local Hillsong Sisterhood, global Colour Sisterhood and flourishing annual Colour Conferences that take place across four nations”.

Its been a journey for Bobbie and Brian. Quite a journey.

But should Bobbie Houston, the feminine side of the Houston power couple, be charged with criminal offences in relation to her father-in-law’s sexual abuse of little children?

Is Bobbie Houston criminally liable for the offences of her husband Brian for not reporting and sheltering a pedophile- his old evil corrupt child rapist dad Frank.

The criminal pedophile Frank Houston, Liked surrounding himself with young males and boys.

Frank Houston. Evil child rapist.

In its Findings released on Monday, the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse didn’t mention Bobbie Houston at all.

Somehow Bobbie has managed to stay off the Royal Commission’s radar.

The same thing happened to Harvest Church Singapore’s head pastor Kong Hee’s wife,Ho Yeow Sun.

Ho Yeow Sun

Ho Yeow Sun

While her husband is going to jail for eight years starting in January, Ho Yeow Sun has got off scot-free.

Maybe its an Asian-thing. They don’t like to hang women.

In Indonesia they don’t mind hanging women. The only dispensation is if a woman is pregnant. Then they hang or shoot the felon after she’s given birth.

There’s something very distasteful about hanging, executing a woman by firing squad, or imprisoning a woman. It just doesn’t seem right. The fairer sex and prison don’t seem to mix in mind of society.

The Saudis and Taliban bury a woman adulterer in the unforgiving soil of Arabia or Afghanistan and then gather around and throw rocks at her head until she dies.

But here in Singapore and Australia we seem reluctant to punish a woman, even for white-collar crimes.

Bobbie Houston is an outspoken self-confessed champion of Christian woman’s emancipation and empowerment. Bobbie has even branded the Hillsong and ACC Christian ladies movements “sisterhoods”, a term widely used by secular feminists all over the planet.

“Women’s suffrage in Australia was one of the earliest objectives of the movement for gender equality in Australia. It began to be socially and politically accepted and legislated during the late 19th century, beginning with South Australia in 1895 and Western Australia in 1899. In 1902, the newly established Australian Parliament passed the Commonwealth Franchise Act 1902, which set a uniform law enabling women to vote at federal elections and to stand for the federal Parliament. This removed gender discrimination in relation to electoral rights for federal elections in Australia. By 1911, the remaining Australian states had legislated for women’s suffrage for state elections”.

Wikipedia

New Zealand was the first country in the world to give woman the vote. In New Zealand, my country of birth and upbringing, we don’t need to use the term “sisterhood”. Women have been treated better than most countries. There is still a lot of work to do, but is Bobbie Houston, the Botox and Extravagance Queen of Pentecost the right woman to do it?

In Western Law until the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, women didn’t have the vote and had few legal rights. Historically women were regarded in British Law as chattels (possessions) of the husband, in much the same way as a house, land, a business or possessions.

Whether Bobbie, with her penchant for the material world, has helped Christian women in their search for equality and empowerment is unlikely. Bobbie is more of an embarrassment to truly godly woman, than a role model.

Botox Bobbie, Bold Bobbie, Bolshie Bobbie, Blunder-bust Bobbie, Boasting Bobbie, Boob-job Bobbie, bourgeoise Bobbie.

Has Bobbie helped the cause of Christian women. This is unlikely.

Bobbie is the senior co-pastor of Hillsong International and has been closely involved day-to-day in everything that has gone on at Hillsong in relation to not reporting her father-in-law, the evil criminal child abuser Frank Houston to the NSW Police and sheltering and even honouring him for five long years until Frank Houston died.

Bobbie is just as culpable as anyone including Brian.

Andrew Scipione. The NSW Police Commissioner. Even though Andrew is a personal friend of Bobbie and Brian Houston, and visits their house sometimes, according to the Hillsong Insider, he should be professional and put aside his friendship and charge Bobbie and Brian Houston with the criminal offences of not reporting and protecting and sheltering a pedophile. If Andrew Scipione tries to protect Bobbie and Brian Houston, then he will be committing criminal offences himself. If he is caught and proven doing this, in any way, Andrew Scipione’s career will end in shame, like Bobbie and Brian Houston’s careers are destined to.

I’m now going to outline how each of these men, and one woman Bobbie Houston, committed these crimes and why they should be prosecuted under NSW Law, starting with Brian Houston.

Pastor Brian Houston the current head co-pastor of Hillsong International

Brian. Who me? guilty? You've got to be kidding me.

Brian. Who me? guilty? You’ve got to be kidding me.

Pastor Brian Houston is perhaps the most liable for these crimes.

In 2000 Brian set out to protect his old pedophile dad Frank from the NSW Police. He’d had advice from a barrister that if he surrendered Frank to the Police, he’d get charged, go to Court and go to jail. So Brian decided to hide his old dad Frank from the NSW Police. All the other leaders colluded with Brian but Brian was the ringleader.

Frank has always been Brian’s hero, although that sentiment may be slowly changing. Its taking a while but in time Brian will hate his dad as much as the boy victims despise him. It may be that in a cold jail cell shared with up to two inmates, Brian may start to develop negative feelings towards the dad who probably sexually abused him and dumped his world on him.

In fact Brian is 99.9 per cent likely to have been a little boy victim of his dad. After all his dad the pedophile Frank was a pedophile, and that’s what pedophiles do. Frank’s dad Frank abused little Frank, according to Frank Houston, and Frank probably abused little Brian and his brother Graeme. Graeme refuses to attend church to this day and I think he now lives in England.

This is what the Royal Commission’s Findings say:

“In 1999 and 2000, Pastor Brian Houston and the National Executive of the Assemblies of God in Australia did not refer the allegations of child sexual abuse against Mr Frank Houston to the police. In 1999 and 2000, Pastor Brian Houston had a conflict of interest in assuming responsibility for dealing with AHA’s allegations because he was both the National President of the Assemblies of God in Australia and the son of Mr Frank Houston, the alleged perpetrator. In 1999, members of the National Executive who attended the Special Executive Meeting of the Assemblies of God in Australia did not follow the National Executive’s policy for handling allegations of child sexual abuse against pastors and failed to recognise and respond to Pastor Brian Houston’s conflict of interest”.

Please note the first sentence:

“In 1999 and 2000, Pastor Brian Houston and the National Executive of the Assemblies of God in Australia did not refer the allegations of child sexual abuse against Mr Frank Houston to the police”.

These words are Pastor Brian Houston’s fait accompli.

Brian also arranged for his old pedophile dad Frank to be located up beside the quiet Hawkesbury River North West of Sydney.

If you’ve ever been up the Hawkesbury its a quiet little backwater, far enough away from annoying questions from the savvy Sydney people, especially the NSW Police. A nice place for a criminal pedophile to lay low.

Pastor Ian Woods of Hawkesbury Christian Centre, an Assemblies of God (AoG) Church in those days, wasn’t subpoenaed by the Royal Commission, but his role in sheltering and protecting the criminal pedophile Frank Houston was mentioned there.

Like all the other Australian AoG Churches it is an Australian Christian Churches church now.

Pastor Ian Woods was the NSW State Superintendent of the AOG and presumably also on the National Executive.

Pastor Ian Woods is criminally liable for not reporting the criminal pedophile Frank Houston to the Police in 2000 until 2004 when Frank Houston died.

Pastor Ian Woods is guilty of sheltering Frank Houston for several years until Frank Houston’s health deteriorated and he went into an old folks home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Pastor Ian Woods, in collusion with Brian and Bobbie Houston, organised for Frank Houston to have a safe-haven at Hawkesbury Assemblies of God church.

This is what a member of that church shared with Hillsong Church Watch site:

“Recently, a commentor shared this information on our site:

I attended Hawkesbury Church (then Hawkesbury Christian Centre) in the early 2000s under its minister Ian Woods, who was then State Superintendent of the AOG and presumably also on the National Executive.

Frank Houston was parked at Hawkesbury after he was stood down and the congregation was told to treat him like royalty. Certainly there was no warning to families in the congregation that we were harbouring a pedophile. He was our National Leader’s father, and a super-apostle in our movement.

Although I do not believe there was a risk of him reoffending, still, what I recall was the total veil of silence that fell over the matter, to the extent that one Hillsong member left the Sunday service when Brian Houston was forced to say something, believing that Frank was guilty of some kind of financial mismanagement.

Brian says that his Father never preached again. I’m pretty sure that’s wrong. While he was with us, he was allowed to preach. Brian is, yet again, a liar”.

My comments:

“Frank Houston was parked at Hawkesbury after he was stood down and the congregation was told to treat him like royalty. Certainly there was no warning to families in the congregation that we were harbouring a pedophile. He was our National Leader’s father, and a super-apostle in our movement”.

In 2000 I attended a large combined Christian Life Centre rally at Homebush. All the Christian Life Centre Churches combined there. Christian Life Centre (CLC) Sydney based in Danks Street, Wasterloo. Hillsong based in Baulkham Hills. Gosford CLC.

Part way through Frank Houston was pushed out across the stage in a wheel-chair. Jonathan Wilson, who had taken over from Frank Houston as the leading pastor at CLC Sydney, did a gushy rave about how great Frank Houston is and what a legend he is. Then he was wheeled out from the right side of the stage to the middle. The whole assembled CLC/ Hillsong were told, “Here’s a great man and a great apostle of faith. Let’s all stand and honour him”. The whole assembled stood to their feet and applauded Frank Houston madly.

I’d heard Frank Houston was a pedophile and even though he’d been stood down for pedophilia, we were told he’d retired.

I walked out of that meeting in disgust.

I knew the leaders knew Frank Houston was a pedophile but they still honoured Frank Houston in that way.

The Hawkesbury eye-witness was there in 2000 at Hawkesbury AoG. He reported:

“Frank Houston was parked at Hawkesbury after he was stood down and the congregation was told to treat him like royalty. Certainly there was no warning to families in the congregation that we were harbouring a pedophile. He was our National Leader’s father, and a super-apostle in our movement”.

“the congregation was told to treat him like royalty”

“Certainly there was no warning to families in the congregation that we were harbouring a pedophile”.

Frank Houston was ministering in Canberra after being banned by his son Brian

In the Royal Commission’s Findings it says:

“He (Brian Houston) gave evidence that Mr Frank Houston was ‘stood down instantly’ and that Mr Frank Houston ‘never, ever preached again anywhere after I confronted him in my office in mid to late November 1999’. However, Pastor Taylor’s records show that Mr Frank Houston continued to preach in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory on 4 and 5 December 1999”.

Pastor Barbara Taylor testified at the Royal Commission that she was very surprised to see Frank Houston on television in Canberra preaching.

Brian Houston’s criminal culpability in protecting and sheltering his father

Brian Houston is extremely culpable in respect to Frank Houston’s behaviour after he was banned, which appears to have been a flagrant disregard for the ban.

From the above eye-witness account of proceedings at Hawkesbury Christian Centre it seems that the congregation was hoodwinked by Pastor Ian Wood about why Frank Houston was in their midst.

If Brian Houston and Ian Wood had been honest and candid about what his dad Frank did then everyone would have treated him like an evil criminal pedophile and our children would have been safe.

How culpable it was of Brian, Ian Woods and all the other Hillsong and AoG/ ACC leaders to play these cover-up and pedophile protection games with the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Blessed Pure Bride of Christ.
