“This is what happens in history to fallen people. They become long-forgotten blimps, stains and aberrations in human history.” Donald Elley

Brian Houston’s court case is getting greatly diminished coverage. Even in Australia there is less interest. Internationally there is only interest from a couple of Christian publications.

If Brian was still head pastor of Hillsong there would have been at least some international media coverage. Brian has dropped off the radar of international media.

It wasn’t long ago that the big US media, CNN, Fox, CNBC, Washington Post, New York Times, New York Post, Daily Mail London and many others globally were interested in Brian Houston’s demise.

I’m not certain that Brian’s expulsion from Hillsong wasn’t a deliberate plan or conspiracy between Brian and Hillsong top leaders to protect Hillsong.

By isolating and abandoning Brian, Hillsong has taken media attention almost completely off them.

Media are very fickle and sensation-driven. After all, the word “news” implies “fresh news”. Media are always looking for big fresh news for the front page and nightly news.

Few media can afford to do long, well-researched documentary investigations anymore.

I watched media outside and inside Brian’s court. Camera crews outside were trying to capture good pictures and videos for their nightly and breaking news. The picture above of Brian is a good example. Brian was just cheerily greeting media when he arrived at court and saying “What a nice day”. It was a nice day. A typical Sydney sunny winters day.

In the photograph above, Brian looks like a looney. A Sydney Morning Herald photographer took that image.

This is what media do. They use images of people to denigrate them. Sydney Morning Herald is anti-Pentecostal and anti-Hillsong generally. Woke and pro-gay. Like most Australian media.

Brian’s court this week was only covered by Australian media. With the exception of Christian Post. John Sandeman, a Sydney retired journalist and blogger, wrote an articles on Brian’s court for them. And another Christian media in America, Christian Headlines, used Christian Post’s article for their article. No CNN, New York Times or any other global media appear to have reported on Brian’s court this week. This just shows how fickle media is.

I’ve also noticed that Brian Houston and his wife Bobbie Houston’s Instagram following and comments there has dropped like a rock in a pond.

This is what happens in history to fallen people. They become long-forgotten blimps, stains and aberrations in human history.
