My mother Valerie was a pastor and a pastor’s wife. She was born at the same time as Queen Elizabeth II in the 1920s. Mum dressed liked Her Majesty and always carried herself with impeccable manners like her. My mother adored The Queen and The Queen was an important role model.

Mother had that Queen smile and she smiled a lot more than The Queen. Perhaps the burdens of office made The Queen smile less as she grew older, particularly from the scandals her inbred children created.

In the photograph above, The Queen is inspecting bananas in Coffs Harbour Australia on a Royal Tour. Looks like the 1960s.

Imagine having to look interested while travelling for weeks around The Commonwealth looking at all the inane and wonderful things, smiling at everyone and not having a nap during endless ceremonies. Not even nodding off. Looking interested in bananas.

The lady behind the Queen to the left doesn’t look over-impressed by the banana outing. The lady looks like The Queen’s sister Margaret. British elite and Royalty meets Australian banana farm.
