“Pastor” Frank Houston was a pedophile who used Christian ministry as a cloak, disguise and instrument to access little boys and young males.

Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Frank thought it was the perfect disguise to access his prey. This is a common tactic of pedophiles.

Frank Houston groomed good, trusting, wholesome New Zealand and Australian Christian families, then secretly accessed, assaulted and sexually abused their innocent, young boys.

Frank Houston’s preferred pedophile victims were little boys and young males. So by clinical psychological definition he was a pedophile. A pedophile sexually abuses children aged under 13, even babies.

In his criminal pedophile mind, Frank Houston calculated that being a Christian pastor provided the safest and easiest access to innocent little Christian boys.

Innocent little boys and young males were the object of his evil pedophile desires.

Christian ministry provided ongoing access to children, with the least chance of being caught out.

Nor were there child protections such as police clearances, as common procedural practice, prior to people being employed in fields where children could easily be accessed and sexually abused.

This is a projection of mine based on an enormous body of evidence I’ve collected on Frank Houston. Everything is published on this site except private conversations, mainly by email, with various victims, their supporters and others. But there is little I know that will help the reader understand Frank Houston, Brian Houston and the Hillsong organisation that I haven’t shared on this site.

The known victims of this out-of-control pedophile spree conducted by the pedophile Frank Houston in the 1940s to 1970s included at least 17 known boys aged 7 to 12. In reality hundreds, if not thousands of little boys

There were at least six known boy victims when Frank was pastor at Lower Hutt AOG.

During the 1960s and 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused WNZ1 (my code name), now known to be Brett Sengstock.

Frank Houston sexually abused at least two other boys at a home bible group he was leading in another Wellington suburb.

The Bible study was being held in WNZ1’s parent’s home. David Cowdrey has recently gone public saying he’s that boy victim. The boys were aged about 11. He snuck down the corridor into WNZ1’s bedroom, pretending be going to use the bathroom, and sexually abused him in his childhood bed.

In 1971 and 1972, Frank Houston sexually abused SA1 (my code name) and at least two to three other little boys at Klemzeig Assemblies of God (AoG) Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek near Adelaide South Australia.

SA1 wrote in his statement to the Australian Royal Commission into Child Abuse that the epicentre of the sexual abuse of little boys was the male toilet block. I organised SA1 to contact them. He contacted me in 2012.

SA1 saw Frank Houston come out of a toilet block with another boy. Frank Houston had his trousers open and had an erection.

It is likely that there were numerous little boys sexually abused by Frank Houston at these AOG Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek in 1971 and 1972.

In the early 1970s, Frank sexually abused teen ANZ1 (my code name) at a hotel room in Auckland, New Zealand. He lured him there on the pretext of helping ANZ1 with some problems. Then he sexually abused him. ANZ1 later suicided because of the negative impact of this sexual abuse by the pedophile Frank Houston on his life.

In the 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused Peter Fowler who was aged 15, while head pastor at Lower Hutt AOG and head of the New Zealand AOG. This abuse occurred in a motel room. I don’t know how he got Peter there. Frank would have thought of a way to lure him there.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused Royal Commission boy victim AHA (Brett Sengstock) at Brett’s parent’s apartment in Coogee Beach Sydney. Frank was an honoured guest of Brett’ss parents. A famous evangelist who they felt privileged to host.

These are only the victims we know about. The tip of the iceberg.

By 1965, the pedophile Frank Houston, who was using the Christian ministry as a cloak for his pedophile activities, was now way too far in to go back. Frank had to continue his pretence and act as a Christian pastor until the bitter end.

By 1977, when Frank moved his family to Sydney, Australia from Wellington, New Zealand, he was a criminal pedophile on the run.

In Sydney, Frank shared with everyone that God gave him a vision of the souls of Sydney like wheat-fields swaying in the breeze ripe for harvest. The souls of men waiting for the Christian evangelist Frank Houston.

It wasn’t the souls of men he had in mind. I believe by conjecture that his purpose for going to Sydney was four-fold.

Firstly to escape the heat of protests to police about his pedophilia attacks on little boys and young males in New Zealand in the 1960s and 1970s.

Secondly, Frank chose Darlinghurst because he thought he’d fit in well there unnoticed amongst all the gays and deviancy there.

Thirdly, Frank knew that in Darlinghurst he could visit gay brothels where young males were available, When he couldn’t find fresh victims. I’m truly sorry to put it this way but lesbians and homosexuals have a term for it: “fresh meat”. In fact, to many homosexuals and lesbians, it’s the thrill of the chase and the challenge of initiating the uninitiated, that really turns them on.

Many heterosexual males also enjoy “the thrill of the chase”. This is a sad aspect of the fallen human condition.

The fourth reason Frank chose Darlinghurst was because he was already under attack from the conservative and wise Australian Assemblies of God establishment who’d heard Frank Houston had committed pedophile offences in New Zealand from the Executive of the New Zealand AOG and they didn’t want a deviate pedophile pastor in their midst. So they excluded him.

Undeterred the criminal pedophile Frank Houston chose a Sydney suburb where there was no AOG Church. Frank distanced himself from his attackers and accused them of being territorial and jealous. I heard him talk like this in the 1980s at CLC Darlinghurst about the AOG establishment in Australia.

In fact, in the pedophile Frank Houston’s territory anyone who questioned him about his authority and leadership, and especially about pedophile allegations, was swiftly and aggressively shown the door.

This modus operandi had been adopted throughout his life by his son Pastor Brian Houston. Any dissenters at Hillsong are quickly shown the door. At Hillsong there’s an “Us and Them” mentality, which is a very immature psychological paradigm to conduct life.

Frank decided “to grow” Christian Life Centre (CLC) Darlinghurst into a mega-church.

He went all out to raise up as many young men as possible as preachers and evangelists. Frank knew that the more young men who believed in him, the more they’d defend him. And this was the case.

Gary Canham- now a pastor in Victoria, Sean Stanton- now on the ACC Executive and a pastor in the ACT, Australia, Trevor King, Geoff Bullock, Peter Laughton- who was seriously sexually abused by the pedophile and homosexual Frank Houston in his early 20s in the early 1980s, his son Brian- current Head of Hillsong International, Terry Appel- now a pastor in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Paul de Jong- Head Pastor of Life Church, Auckland, New Zealand, Tony Venn-Brown, Pat Mesiti- Tony Venn-Brown’s assistant, Laurie Murphy- pastor of Hillsong Glebe Outreach Church, and a friend of mine since 1981, Phil Thwaites and many others. Hillsong, the juggernaut that the pedophile Frank Houston created when he birthed Hillsong, in liaison with Lucifer, is getting more and more out-of-control each day.

One day it will fall apart and collapse.

Firstly to escape the heat of protests to police about his pedophilia attacks on little boys and young males in New Zealand in the 1960s and 1970s.

Secondly, Frank chose Darlinghurst because he thought he’d fit in well there unnoticed amongst all the gays and deviancy there.

Thirdly, Frank knew that in Darlinghurst he could visit gay brothels where young males were available, When he couldn’t find fresh victims. I’m truly sorry to put it this way but lesbians and homosexuals have a term for it: “fresh meat”. In fact, to many homosexuals and lesbians, it’s the thrill of the chase and the challenge of initiating the uninitiated, that really turns them on.

Many heterosexual males also enjoy “the thrill of the chase”. This is a sad aspect of the fallen human condition.

The fourth reason Frank chose Darlinghurst was because he was already under attack from the conservative and wise Australian Assemblies of God establishment who’d heard Frank Houston had committed pedophile offences in New Zealand from the Executive of the New Zealand AOG and they didn’t want a deviate pedophile pastor in their midst. So they excluded him.

Undeterred the criminal pedophile Frank Houston chose a Sydney suburb where there was no AOG Church. Frank distanced himself from his attackers and accused them of being territorial and jealous. I heard him talk like this in the 1980s at CLC Darlinghurst about the AOG establishment in Australia.

In fact, in the pedophile Frank Houston’s territory anyone who questioned him about his authority and leadership, and especially about pedophile allegation, was swiftly and aggressively shown the door.

This modus operandi had been adopted throughout his life by his son Pastor Brian Houston. Any dissenters at Hillsong are quickly shown the door. At Hillsong there’s an “Us and them” mentality, which is a very immature psychological attitude to have in life.

By 1980, Frank Houston was now under incredible attack. The prophet Pastor Philip Powell was out to expose the pedophile Frank Houston to the world. He’d been hounding him since the late 1970s. In the 1980s he really turned up the temperature of his attacks.

The pedophile Frank Houston’s response was to go all out and build as big a defence fortress as possible.

Frank decided “to grow” Christian Life Centre (CLC) Darlinghurst into a mega-church.

He went all out to raise up as many young men as possible as preachers and evangelists. Frank knew that the more young men who believed in him, the more they’d defend him. And this was the case.

I’m not aware of anyone else in leadership at CLC Darlinghurst who was sexually abused by the pedophile and homosexual Frank Houston apart from Peter Laughton. Dave Sayers and I were homosexually abused by Frank Houston in a low-level way in two separate incidents, but it was still ugly and still criminal assault and criminal abuse.

Hillsong do this in limited ways to make themselves look good and worthy, but, as I have shown many times, Hillsong church is just a cash-cow for the Houstons, their off-spring and the Hillsong pastors to milk. A Christian pyramid scheme whereby the currency is cash and the souls of men are traded with abandon and without control.

In fact the juggernaut the pedophile Frank Houston created when he birthed Hillsong, in liaison with Lucifer, is getting more and more out-of-control each day.

One day it will fall apart and collapse.

In fact both Satan and Frank Houston want it to.

Frank Houston the founder of Hillsong mega-church similarly used the Christian ministry as a cover to sexually abuse over four hundred little boys in his lifetime.

Frank Houston confessed to the minimum he had to and didn’t admit to much.

He left it to people like me to fill in the blanks from my own first-hand knowledge of Hillsong, the testimony of the players involved in Frank Houston’s circle, the testimony of Hillsong insiders and the testimony of victims who are now aged in their 50s and 60s.

I found out recently from a reliable source that Hazel Houston, Frank Houston’s wife knew about her husband’s sexual abuse of little boys a long time ago, probably from very early in his ‘Christian ministry’. In this way she is culpable and complicit in his hundreds of crimes against little boys and young male teens.

Hazel Houston also sheltered and protected her husband Frank from the NSW and New Zealand Police for many decades.

Pastor Brian Houston (in 2000 to a boy sex abuse victim of his father Frank Houston, who was abused in Australia from age 7 to 12): “You tempted my father so he abused you”. Countries like Malaysia need to introduce child protection laws, policies and child education about pedophilia

Sadly child sexual abuse, incest and other forms of child abuse like physical violence towards children and child slavery have been going on for thousands of years.

There are some very dark sins and impulses in fallen mankind.

The thing about pedophiles is that they’re such deviates and so addicted to child sexual abuse that if one door closes they’ll open another.

For example, Thailand has long been a favourite hunting ground for deviates. The Thai authorities for a long time did nothing about it.

I’ve been to Malaysia many times. My father was the minister (pastor) at St Andrews Presbyterian Church in Kuala Lumpur for eight years in the 1980s.

St Andrews is an ex-patriate church which is open to all Protestant denominations and hosts mainly foreign executives for oil companies, building companies and similar organisations who are working in Malaysia. Normally the long-term ex-patriate workers have their families with them in Malaysia.

There are very developed child protection and child education programs available in Western countries like Australia and the UK.

It would be greatly beneficial for Malaysia and other Asian and similar countries to get hold of such legislation and child protection and child education programs on pedophilia.

Pedophilia is an ancient and prevalent problem all over the planet.

Pedophiles are predominantly men although there are female pedophiles.

At the moment Australia is trying to extradite from Israel a female Jewish high school school teacher Malka Leifer.

It was reported this week that she has been granted a stay of extradition by an Israeli Judge on the grounds of mental health. She says she gets panic attacks about going to Court and can’t fly to Australia to face charges. A Israeli doctor has backed her. Probably a doctor fro the Jewish sect she belongs to.

The Australian authorities are determined to extract her. She sexually abused many Australian girls in Melbourne.

 

Former principal at Adass Israel School in Melbourne, Malka Leifer, is expected to be extradited from Israel to face sexual abuse charges at some time in the future.

A British man has been given 22 life sentences after admitting 71 charges of sex abuse against children in Malaysia aged from six months to 12 years old.

Police believe Richard Huckle, 30, from Ashford, Kent, abused up to 200 children from mainly poor communities.

The Old Bailey judge described a 60-page paedophile manual Huckle wrote as a “truly evil document” and said he must serve at least 23 years in jail.

A woman in the public gallery shouted: “1,000 deaths is too good for you”.

In online posts, Huckle had bragged: “Impoverished kids are definitely much easier to seduce than middle-class Western kids.”

Commenting on one of his victims, he boasted: “I’d hit the jackpot, a 3yo girl as loyal to me as my dog and nobody seemed to care.”
‘Such a scale’

He presented himself as a practising Christian and first visited Malaysia on a teaching gap year when he was 18 or 19. He then went on to groom children while doing voluntary work.

The BBC has learned that the National Crime Agency (NCA) only contacted two churches Huckle attended in Kent and London – which cannot be identified for legal reasons – last week, almost 18 months after Huckle was first arrested.

It says it has now referred that aspect of its investigation to the Independent Police Complaints Commission to see if it could have improved its response.

Judge Peter Rook QC said Huckle’s sentence reflected the “public abhorrence” over his “campaign of rape”.

He said: “It is very rare indeed that a judge has to sentence sexual offending by one person on such a scale as this.”

He added that Huckle’s life “revolved around your obsession with your own sexual gratification by child sex abuse”.

“It is also clear that, had you not been arrested, you planned to continue the same lifestyle using the expertise that you were keen to show off to and share with other abusers so as to continue your sexual exploitation of the children of such communities,” he said.

The freelance photographer admitted the offences, which took place between 2006 and 2014.

 

‘Borders are no barrier’

Investigators found more than 20,000 indecent pictures and videos of his assaults on children, which were shared with paedophiles worldwide through a website hidden in the so-called dark web.

He even tried to make a business out of his abuse by crowd-funding the release of the images and was compiling a paedophile’s manual at the time of his arrest by the NCA in December 2014.

Australian police, who traced Huckle, also suspected 17 other British men of using the same websites.

Five of those have now been convicted, two have killed themselves, and five have been arrested and are on bail, the NCA said.

One of the men is still being investigated, no further action was taken in one case, and in the final three cases, the NCA said investigators were “unable to resolve IP [internet protocol] data”.

Ahead of his sentencing, Huckle claimed to a psychiatrist that he wanted to put his “madness” behind him and settle down with a south Indian woman.

But the court was shown a posting from 2013 in which he outlined his plan to marry one of his victims in order to help him abuse more children.

Judge Rook said: “In my view, you may well harbour feelings of regret but there is no feeling of genuine remorse in this case.”

James Traynor from the NCA’s child exploitation and online protection command said Huckle had “deliberately travelled to a part of the world where he thought he could abuse vulnerable children without being caught”.

“He spent several years integrating himself into the community in which he lived, making himself a trusted figure. But he abused that trust in the worst possible way.”

The NCA was able to use legislation that allows UK nationals to be prosecuted in the UK for offences that have been committed overseas.

“The NCA worked to track down Huckle and end his prolific abuse. Borders are no barrier – we are determined that those who go abroad to abuse children will be held to account,” he added.

I was reading a few articles on Hillsong-C3 watch site. There was a comment by a lady who lives in Hawaii about Hillsong. She commented how Hillsong were doing a musical show there for Christmas and how it was sold out for two nights. She was enquiring about Hillsong.

I set her straight about Hillsong. There is such a need to let people know.

I wrote, “What Hillsong is doing all over the world is getting worse and worse. It’s like a Great Apostasy”.

If I do listen to Brian, five minutes seems like an eternity.

Brian even shared once, to illustrate a point, how he was driving down Bondi Road and rear ended another car when he was distracted looking at some one walking along the footpath. Brian was married to Bobbie at the time. I always wanted to know what Brian was looking at. Was it one of those hot Bondi or Tamarama international models walking along the footpath of Bondi Road? Hillsong has such great power. Even independent Christian bookshops like the highly successful Koorong Bookshop in Sydney bow and scrape to Hillsong. A staff member at Koorong recently told me they don’t have stock of Brian’s book, “You need more money” because Hillsong requested it be removed.

 

 

Koorong would be making a lot of cash out of Hillsong books, DVDs and other product.

Graham Richardson, the former Australian Labour Party politician and now media commentator, recently interviewed Brian on his Sky News program “Richo and Jones”.

Graham Richardson quoted to Brian that Hillsong has the highest music CD and DVD sales in Australia, including secular music. He commented how amazing it was for a Christian church to dominate secular commercial music in this way.

Brian was aware of Hillsong’s success with its hits and its music industry successes.

After all Brian is the Executive Producer of every DVD sold and personally takes a cut of 1.5 percent on every sale. It may be 3 per cent but it used to be 1.5 per cent in 1990.

Taking royalties and commissions on Christian worship is a great sin before Almighty God. It’s stealing from the Holy of Holies- the most sacred place in the universe.

This is why Hillsong needs to be spoken against and brought down. It’s another Great Apostasy of old.

Carl Lentz, Joel Houston and Ben Houston seek significance and recognition from hanging out with celebrities and being “cool and hip”. Being seen with celebrities, even gay celebrities. Being “Pastors”. Big-noting themselves. “I’m the son of the great Brian Houston”- Joel and Ben Houston. A sickening sense of entitlement and out-of-control egos.

One time I was going in and he was coming out and as I went in I saw another boy a few years older standing there with an erection. My mate, David Haig also noticed it because I remember talking about it after, as boys would.

The second time was in the dorm. My bed was close to the back end on the bottom. He came to the bunk, sat down and masturbated me and had me touch him over his clothes.”

SA1 contacted me two years ago after reading my articles starting in September 2012 about Pastor Frank Houston.

Pastor Frank Houston sexually abused him in Adelaide, South Australia.

The sexual abuse occurred at an Assemblies of God Church Youth Camp in Cuddly Creek in 1973.

Cuddly Creek is perhaps an unfortunate name given the current revelations.

Cuddly Creek is owned by the Klemzig Assemblies of God.

SA1 was only 11 years old at the time.

Pastor Frank Hosuton was a speaker at the camp and a very prominent Assemblies of God pastor.

SA1 has provided details to the Royal Commission following my encouragement of him to do so. I told him it would help take the burden off his life and make him stronger.

We are in communication by email and I’m helping him get stronger and recover and get his life back. I’m there for him. He also has local friends and mates he can talk to.

 

Pastor Brian Houston says “I will not help any boy or the older male victims of my dad’s abuse, even though I am a Christian pastor and the head of the organisation he founded, Hillsong. The victims are on their own. Sorry”.

The personal story of South Australian boy sexual abuse victim SA1 by Pastor Frank Houston.

The following is in SA1’s own words.

 

SA1’s story:

“The abuse occurred in South Australia, in the Adelaide area.

The abuse by Frank Houston took place at Cuddly Creek camp, a camp owned by the AOG, Klemzig.

The later abuse at Klemzig AOG, at the hands of a Sunday School teacher, took place on two fishing outings, about the following year.

The abuse by Frank occurred during one week I was at the Klemzig AOG camp. It would have been in the summer of 1973 or 1974.

I was about 11. I hadn’t reached puberty yet.

My parents let me go to the kids camp.

The Cuddly Creek camp was popular.

I went to several family camps and the new year’s camp meetings with my family.

I can’t remember if Frank was the speaker for all the meetings during the week of the kids camp.

I know that there was also Tony Hopkins, a drummer there that was my hero.

All the boys were in a dormitory with bunk beds down each side.

The shower block was on the right as you came into the dormitory.

I remember Frank being around the shower block quite a lot, seemed to bump into him there.

I didn’t tell anyone til 2012 (during a week of a prison counselling program in Canada) when I finally started to deal with these and other issues.

Frank was so highly thought of by my parents and the whole church. I was afraid to say anything against him even though I knew that what happened was not normal. I also thought I was the only person this was happening to.

Another reason I didn’t say anything is that sex was taboo in my family. It was never talked about. My sex education was that I was given a pamphlet on puberty at age 12.

I didn’t report it to the police because I finally started to deal with it and had access to the internet in 2012. I found out through Donald’s blog that Frank was dead, so I thought it pointless to report it.

In the future I will probably need counselling from time to time.

Also I think it helps when I help others who have also gone through this type of thing.

I have friends to support me. I know that I can talk about anything with them.

I will need further counselling as time goes on. There are times when I’m pretty fragile, having lost my family as part of the fall-out of my roller coaster life”.

If you are a victim of sexual abuse or other abuse and you are badly impacted by reading these child abuse accounts on this site then you should talk to a counsellor. If you are a Christian, a counsellor who is at least understanding of your Christian faith would be better.

Some people are affected by these stories for various reasons even though they’re not a victim. Maybe you were abused in another  way or you know someone who has been sexually abused. You might also consider talking it through with a Counsellor.

Prayer is another option, and you could consider talking it through with God and also with a Counsellor.

Family, friends and other non-professionals can only be so much help and sometimes they don’t help at all. Its a difficult and complex area of human behaviour and psychology.

“In the early 70’s Frank was in Auckland and after a service he invited my brother back to his hotel to give him prayer time for his depression. The AOG at that time were always fixated with demons and Frank was sure that was the problem with my brother. 5 years later my brother told me what happened that night at the hotel room and how it shattered his belief in humanity and spirituality. I found it hard to believe that Frank was homosexual as he preached against it so much and often quoted the Apostle Paul’s rant on it.

My brother committed suicide a few years later and I do put a lot of the blame at Frank’s feet for that. For a few years after I was tempted to travel to Sydney and take his life.”

Boy victim SA1 details sexual abuse of him at age 11 by the pedophile Frank Houston the founder of Hillsong Global Church:

“The abuse by Frank occurred during one week I was at the Klemzig AOG camp. It would have been in the summer of 1973 or 1974.

I was about 11. I hadn’t reached puberty yet…

I remember Frank being around the shower block quite a lot, seemed to bump into him there.

One time I was going in and he was coming out and as I went in I saw another boy a few years older standing there with an erection. My mate, David Haig also noticed it because I remember talking about it after, as boys would.

The first time Frank touched me was in a shower. I was showering and he pushed aside the flimsy curtain and stepped in and fondled me.

The second time was in the dorm. My bed was close to the back end on the bottom. He came to the bunk, sat down and masturbated me and had me touch him over his clothes.”

“Sadly, there were more than six kids, Frank was a regular at youth and family camps in the early/mid 70″s at Cudlee Creek, SA ( the church camp) That is where I had my experience with him not to mention another person who taught sunday school in Klemzig, Adelaide, due to that confusion in my formative years, my life has been a rollercoaster.”

This comment was written in response to a series of 14 blog articles I wrote starting on 13 September 2012 in which I wrote of my knowledge about and experiences of Pastor Frank Houston, the founder of Hillsong Church.

I have given this boy victim the code name SA1, an abbreviation for South Australia victim one.

I was closely associated with Frank Houston for ten years from 1981 to 1991 and then less closely in the late 1990s to 2000 when I attended Christian Life Centre Waterloo, the second name for Hillsong Church again for a few years.

I was a lay leader at CLC Darlinghurst in the 1980s and did building work there for Frank Houston in 1982-3.

SA1 contacted me two years ago after reading my articles starting in September 2012 about Pastor Frank Houston.

Pastor Frank Houston sexually abused him in Adelaide, South Australia.

The sexual abuse occurred at an Assemblies of God Church Youth Camp in Cuddly Creek in 1973.

Cuddly Creek is perhaps an unfortunate name given the current revelations.

Cuddly Creek is owned by the Klemzig Assemblies of God.

SA1 was only 11 years old at the time.

Pastor Frank Hosuton was a speaker at the camp and a very prominent Assemblies of God pastor.

SA1 has provided details to the Royal Commission following my encouragement of him to do so. I told him it would help take the burden off his life and make him stronger.

We are in communication by email and I’m helping him get stronger and recover and get his life back. I’m there for him. He also has local friends and mates he can talk to.

 

Pastor Brian Houston says “I will not help any boy or the older male victims of my dad’s abuse, even though I am a Christian pastor and the head of the organisation he founded, Hillsong. The victims are on their own. Sorry”.

The personal story of South Australian boy sexual abuse victim SA1 by Pastor Frank Houston.

The following is in SA1’s own words.

 

SA1’s story:

“The abuse occurred in South Australia, in the Adelaide area.

The abuse by Frank Houston took place at Cuddly Creek camp, a camp owned by the AOG, Klemzig.

The later abuse at Klemzig AOG, at the hands of a Sunday School teacher, took place on two fishing outings, about the following year.

The abuse by Frank occurred during one week I was at the Klemzig AOG camp. It would have been in the summer of 1973 or 1974.

I was about 11. I hadn’t reached puberty yet.

My parents let me go to the kids camp.

The Cuddly Creek camp was popular.

I went to several family camps and the new year’s camp meetings with my family.

I can’t remember if Frank was the speaker for all the meetings during the week of the kids camp.

I know that there was also Tony Hopkins, a drummer there that was my hero.

All the boys were in a dormitory with bunk beds down each side.

The shower block was on the right as you came into the dormitory.

I remember Frank being around the shower block quite a lot, seemed to bump into him there.

I didn’t tell anyone til 2012 (during a week of a prison counselling program in Canada) when I finally started to deal with these and other issues.

Frank was so highly thought of by my parents and the whole church. I was afraid to say anything against him even though I knew that what happened was not normal. I also thought I was the only person this was happening to.

Another reason I didn’t say anything is that sex was taboo in my family. It was never talked about. My sex education was that I was given a pamphlet on puberty at age 12.

I didn’t report it to the police because I finally started to deal with it and had access to the internet in 2012. I found out through Donald’s blog that Frank was dead, so I thought it pointless to report it.

In the future I will probably need counselling from time to time.

Also I think it helps when I help others who have also gone through this type of thing.

I have friends to support me. I know that I can talk about anything with them.

I will need further counselling as time goes on. There are times when I’m pretty fragile, having lost my family as part of the fall-out of my roller coaster life”.

 

Donald’s comments:

If you are a victim of sexual abuse or other abuse and you are badly impacted by reading these child abuse accounts on this site then you should talk to a counsellor. If you are a Christian, a counsellor who is at least understanding of your Christian faith would be better.

Some people are affected by these stories for various reasons even though they’re not a victim. Maybe you were abused in another  way or you know someone who has been sexually abused. You might also consider talking it through with a Counsellor.

Prayer is another option, and you could consider talking it through with God and also with a Counsellor.

Family, friends and other non-professionals can only be so much help and sometimes they don’t help at all. Its a difficult and complex area of human behaviour and psychology.

This is a shocking true story of the child abuse of the first known boy victim of Pastor William Francis “Frank” Houston in Wellington, New Zealand.

There are six known boy victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s abuse in Lower Hutt, part of the greater Wellington region, but not of Wellington itself. This is because Frank Houston was head pastor of Lower Hutt Assemblies of God church (AOG) and he abused the children in this church.

This case is the first boy victim to be unearthed outside Lower Hutt in a Wellington suburb.

Pastor Frank Houston was a very highly respected and trusted Assemblies of God (AOG) pastor and evangelist based in Wellington New Zealand, my home town.

However, Frank Houston simultaneously had an uncontrollable passion to sexually gratify himself with very young boys aged 7 to 12. This was the preferred demography of his sexual abuse of teens and young boys.

All thirteen victims I’ve identified to date, including three unknown publicly prior to me investigating the situation, are aged 7 to 12 except two teens- Peter Fowler of Lower Hutt AOG aged 15 and ANZ1 aged in his late teens.

The current Australian Royal Commission’s investigation of child abuse revealed a victim AHA, a boy victim of Pastor Frank Houston from Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia, two beaches south of Bondi.

The question is in my mind each day- If the root is rotten how can the tree be good?

If the seed of anointing which birthed Hillsong is so rotten, how can the tree be good?

Has the sickness and delusion that was Pastor Frank Houston metamorphosed into something far worse under his son?

I have believed for three decades that Hillsong and other Prosperity Churches have turned Pentecost and the true move of the Holy Spirit on its head.

For in my mind, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has fallen on its side and mated with the modern world, and Hillsong is part of that problem.

Why Pastor Frank Houston sexually abused young boys for most of his life is extremely hard to fathom. I don’t understand it, even though I know a lot about life and the human condition. No doubt it was related to his father’s sexual abuse of him as a child.

Frank Houston couldn’t control his very dark side. If you look at his eyes in photographs they were almost black.

It seems that there were two Franks. Frank the evangelist and godly man. And Frank the devil incarnate and the abuser of young boys. A true Jackal and Hyde persona.

I have come to believe over time that the first Frank, Frank the evangelist and godly man, didn’t exist. It was only a mirage. It was a cover, disguise or foil the pedophile Frank Houston used to access little boys.

“Hi Donald

A bit about me…I went to Teachers College from 72-74 (attending Varsity part time) before Teaching for a year and a half then living a hippie lifestyle.

AB and I hung around Wellington together in the 70’s, walking the fine line between sin, repentance and sainthood. I’m afraid sex and drugs got the better of me for a time. I also hung around up at Kapiti during the late ‘70s with AB. He was (edit) a very close friend.

Here is my story. 

I discovered your blog earlier this year when working through childhood trauma with my counsellor. It was very helpful in providing background to my journey, enabling me to finally admit to myself that Frank was my abuser.

I’m 60 years old and the impact of the abuse involving Frank in my life has been significant. Despite appearing to be a successful corporate manager, I couldn’t sustain the facade. Inside I lived with fear, mistrust, anger and shame. I was depressed, lonely and isolated.

I sought comfort from my pain in unhelpful ways, compulsively pursuing and becoming involved in one relationship after another, sometimes having more than one sexual or emotional liaison at a time. I lived my life in compartments and feeling completely shut off from myself, God, my family and friends.

My broken life is testimony to the selfish acts of the sicko creep Frank Houston on an innocent boy.

From the age of five into my teens I attended Lower Hutt AOG with my family.

My encounter with Frank was when I was 8 years old.

My family lived in a Wellington suburb and my parents held a Saturday night prayer meeting which folk from Lower Hutt AOG attended.

Frank attended a few times and it was during these visits that the abuse occurred.

When I read of AHA’s experience in the Commission’s transcript, the details in the description brought everything back. I finally knew deep within me the true horror of what had happened all those years ago.

I recall feeling the weight of Frank on me, the breath in my face and my genitals being fondled.

I was completely paralysed with fear.

I could not speak. I was totally bewildered as to what was going on.

I remember this happening 2 or 3 times.

I tried to explain to my parents what had happened to me. I did not have the words to explain it.

They thought it was a nightmare. I knew differently.

I named this thing ‘the black shadow’.

I took a piece of wood to bed with me every night so I could defend myself or knock on the wall to alert my parents.

The problem was that when ‘the black shadow’ entered my room I was so fearful I could do nothing.

The incidents were not prolonged (although at the time the groping seemed to go on forever!).

I have come to realise that Frank would have excused himself to ‘use the bathroom’ and took a detour via my bedroom on the way.

I believe these incidents would have occurred more if my family hadn’t moved to Lower Hutt in 1962.

The prayer meetings were then held at the church and I don’t recall Frank visiting my home again.

I recently asked my father about the ‘incident’ with Peter Fowler in Lower Hutt where Frank had been accused of abuse. He said it was beyond his comprehension that Frank could have been guilty. He thought at that time, in his naivety that it was an ‘attack of the devil’. He was partly right – the devil was Frank!

A ‘minor’ incident occurred at lunch at the Houston’s when I was a pubescent boy. Frank pressed his leg into mine and had his hand on my thigh. I recall feeling extremely uncomfortable. Frank abused the trust of his children by abusing their friends. How depraved is that?

Another significant event in my life involving Frank occurred in 1969 when I was 15. I was sitting down the back of the church with Brian and Graeme Houston and some of the other youth at a Sunday night service.

We were chatting away during the sermon and Frank came all the way down the centre aisle from the pulpit and yelled at me to stand up. He then yelled at me “You fool!” and then turned to the congregation and continued saying “Fools like you are tools of Satan! I curse you!” He was in an absolute rage.

I still feel the pain and shame of that moment now – 45 years later. Not only was Frank a pervert he was a bully! All my life, from this moment forward I was filled with anxiety and unable to be direct with anyone in authority for fear of being shamed and/or humiliated.

Then the Jesus Hippie thing came along with lots of hugging. Frank would seek out young men to embrace. It was creepy. I still remember him pushing his crotch into me as we embraced in ‘brotherly love’!

Frank the Paedophile was a liar, full of cunning and deceit.

He was a very scary controlling man.

I am sure there are many more victims out there – both children and young adult. I suspect a number of people I knew in my teens and early twenties were victims of Frank.

My wife emailed Brian Houston in 2009 when I uncovered and told her of my abuse. He responded in a supportive way stating he had no knowledge of the abuse but that I was welcome to contact him to discuss it. I have not taken him up on his offer.

I have been granted long-term counselling stemming in part from my childhood abuse experience. I also attend a 12 Step programme which is helping repair my brokeness. I am lucky I have a supportive wife and family which I nearly lost.

I turned away from God for a long time. I am slowly learning to trust God with my life.

I remain angry about what Frank did. I still struggle to find a place of forgiveness in my heart for him.

Maybe Frank didn’t have this verse in his Bible…

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6.

I discovered your blog earlier this year when working through childhood trauma with my counsellor. It was very helpful in providing background to my journey, enabling me to finally admit to myself that Frank was my abuser.

I’m 60 years old and the impact of the abuse involving Frank in my life has been significant. Despite appearing to be a successful corporate manager, I couldn’t sustain the facade. Inside I lived with fear, mistrust, anger and shame. I was depressed, lonely and isolated.

I sought comfort from my pain in unhelpful ways, compulsively pursuing and becoming involved in one relationship after another, sometimes having more than one sexual or emotional liaison at a time. I lived my life in compartments and feeling completely shut off from myself, God, my family and friends.

My broken life is testimony to the selfish acts of the sicko creep Frank Houston on an innocent boy.

From the age of five into my teens I attended Lower Hutt AOG with my family.

My encounter with Frank was when I was 8 years old.

My family lived in a Wellington suburb and my parents held a Saturday night prayer meeting which folk from Lower Hutt AOG attended.

Frank attended a few times and it was during these visits that the abuse occurred.

When I read of AHA’s experience in the Commission’s transcript, the details in the description brought everything back. I finally knew deep within me the true horror of what had happened all those years ago.

I recall feeling the weight of Frank on me, the breath in my face and my genitals being fondled.

I was completely paralysed with fear.

I could not speak. I was totally bewildered as to what was going on.

I remember this happening 2 or 3 times.

I tried to explain to my parents what had happened to me. I did not have the words to explain it.

They thought it was a nightmare. I knew differently.

I named this thing ‘the black shadow’.

I took a piece of wood to bed with me every night so I could defend myself or knock on the wall to alert my parents.

The problem was that when ‘the black shadow’ entered my room I was so fearful I could do nothing.

The incidents were not prolonged (although at the time the groping seemed to go on forever!).

I have come to realise that Frank would have excused himself to ‘use the bathroom’ and took a detour via my bedroom on the way.

I believe these incidents would have occurred more if my family hadn’t moved to Lower Hutt in 1962.

The prayer meetings were then held at the church and I don’t recall Frank visiting my home again.

I recently asked my father about the ‘incident’ with Peter Fowler in Lower Hutt where Frank had been accused of abuse. He said it was beyond his comprehension that Frank could have been guilty. He thought at that time, in his naivety that it was an ‘attack of the devil’. He was partly right – the devil was Frank!

A ‘minor’ incident occurred at lunch at the Houston’s when I was a pubescent boy. Frank pressed his leg into mine and had his hand on my thigh. I recall feeling extremely uncomfortable. Frank abused the trust of his children by abusing their friends. How depraved is that?

Another significant event in my life involving Frank occurred in 1969 when I was 15. I was sitting down the back of the church with Brian and Graeme Houston and some of the other youth at a Sunday night service.

We were chatting away during the sermon and Frank came all the way down the centre aisle from the pulpit and yelled at me to stand up. He then yelled at me “You fool!” and then turned to the congregation and continued saying “Fools like you are tools of Satan! I curse you!” He was in an absolute rage.

I still feel the pain and shame of that moment now – 45 years later. Not only was Frank a pervert he was a bully! All my life, from this moment forward I was filled with anxiety and unable to be direct with anyone in authority for fear of being shamed and/or humiliated.

Then the Jesus Hippie thing came along with lots of hugging. Frank would seek out young men to embrace. It was creepy. I still remember him pushing his crotch into me as we embraced in ‘brotherly love’!

Frank the Paedophile was a liar, full of cunning and deceit.

He was a very scary controlling man.

I am sure there are many more victims out there – both children and young adult. I suspect a number of people I knew in my teens and early twenties were victims of Frank.

My wife emailed Brian Houston in 2009 when I uncovered and told her of my abuse. He responded in a supportive way stating he had no knowledge of the abuse but that I was welcome to contact him to discuss it. I have not taken him up on his offer.

I have been granted long-term counselling stemming in part from my childhood abuse experience. I also attend a 12 Step programme which is helping repair my brokeness. I am lucky I have a supportive wife and family which I nearly lost.

I turned away from God for a long time. I am slowly learning to trust God with my life.

I remain angry about what Frank did. I still struggle to find a place of forgiveness in my heart for him.

Maybe Frank didn’t have this verse in his Bible…

But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6.

The Great Apostasy

“The Great Apostasy, according to some religious groups, is the perceived fallen state of traditional Christianity, especially the Roman Catholic Church, because it allegedly allowed traditional Greco-Roman culture (i.e. Greco-Roman mysteries, deities of solar monism such as Mithras and Sol Invictus, and idol worship) into the church. In short, in their opinion, the church has fallen into apostasy. They feel that to attract the pagans to nominal Christianity, the Catholic Church took measures to amalgamate the Christian and pagan festivals so pagans would join the church; for example, bringing in the pagan festival of Easter as a substitute for the Pasch or Passover, although neither Jesus nor his Apostles enjoined the keeping of this or any other festival.

They consider the papacy to be in full-blown apostasy for allowing pagan rituals, beliefs and ceremonies to come into the church, having those who pointed out its apostasy persecuted and killed and never repenting of or fully admitting the true extent of its actions.

Many Protestant reformers, including Martin Luther, John Calvin, Thomas Cranmer, John Thomas, John Knox, and Cotton Mather, felt the early church had been led into apostasy by the Papacy and identified it as the Antichrist. The Centuriators of Magdeburg, a group of Lutheran scholars in Magdeburg headed by Matthias Flacius, wrote the 12-volume “Magdeburg Centuries” to discredit the papacy and identify the pope as the Antichrist”.

I was reading a few articles on Hillsong-C3 watch site. There was a comment by a lady who lives in Hawaii about Hillsong. She commented how Hillsong were doing a musical show there for Christmas and how it was sold out for two nights. She was enquiring about Hillsong.

I set her straight about Hillsong. There is such a need to let people know.

I wrote, “What Hillsong is doing all over the world is getting worse and worse. It’s like a Great Apostasy”.

As I wrote this, the words resonated in my spirit. “Hillsong. It’s like a Great Apostasy”.

Every day it seems, new examples of Hillsong heresies and Hillsong apostasy are coming to light.

Every day it seems people, on-line magazines, like Charisma in the USA, and internet sites like Hillsong-C3 Watch, Hillsong Watch, C3 Watch and Hillsong Exposed, a new site, in Australia, are uncovering examples of Hillsong heresy.

A Brian aged about 30. I knew Brian personally in the 1980s. I build his first office in Baulkham Hills in 1983. A humble small office suite above some 1970s era shops on Windsor Road.

I remember the day Brian delivered his first sermon at Christian Life Centre (CLC), Darlinghurst. Christian Life Centre, Darlinghurst is the first name for Hillsong.

It was 1982 and Brian stood up and delivered a high-velocity gabble of ill-defined thoughts and feelings, coupled with an exhaustive number of scriptures. There was zero Holy Spirit anointing on his preaching. I sense zero Holy Spirit on Brian’s preaching on the rare occasions I listen to him preach today. If I do listen to Brian, five minutes seems like an eternity.

Brian even shared once, to illustrate a point, how he was driving down Bondi Road and rear ended another car when he was distracted looking at some one walking along the footpath. Brian was married to Bobbie at the time. I always wanted to know what Brian was looking at. Was it one of those hot Bondi or Tamarama international models walking along the footpath of Bondi Road? Maybe Bobbie could ask him?

Bobbie would probably forgive Brian for a moral indiscretion. There’s too much money, vanity and ego involved for them to split up.

We may never know what the pedophile Frank Houston confessed to because the Australian AOG leaders, led by his son Brian, in circa 2000, didn’t make Pastor John Lewis’ report on Frank Houston public. Nor has Brian Houston shown any real transparency since. Transparency would have been helpful to everyone, especially the boy and young teen victims of which there are many. Maybe 400 plus.

Further “Pastor” Brian Houston has refused point-blank to help or assist the boy and teen victims of the founder of Hillsong in any way. Brian Houston told the Royal Commission this.

What kind of Christian pastor are we dealing with here?

An extremely corrupt and arrogant man, who shouldn’t even be called a “pastor”. I only write “Pastor” Brian Houston because it sounds O so hypocritical of Brian to call himself “Pastor”.

Nothing at Hillsong is made public in the way of improprieties and scandals. That’s my job. And the job of the Hillsong watch sites and others who hear the truth and have a conviction to speak out about all Hillsong’s wrongs, of which there are so many.

The Corruption of the Apostate Church Hillsong

Hillsong has such great power. Even independent Christian bookshops like the highly successful Koorong Bookshop in Sydney bow and scrape to Hillsong. A staff member at Koorong recently told me they don’t have stock of Brian’s book, “You need more money” because Hillsong requested it be removed.

 

 

Koorong would be making a lot of cash out of Hillsong books, DVDs and other product.

Graham Richardson, the former Australian Labour Party politician and now media commentator, recently interviewed Brian on his Sky News program “Richo and Jones”.

Graham Richardson quoted to Brian that Hillsong has the highest music CD and DVD sales in Australia, including secular music. He commented how amazing it was for a Christian church to dominate secular commercial music in this way.

Brian was aware of Hillsong’s success with its hits and its music industry successes.

After all Brian is the Executive Producer of every DVD sold and personally takes a cut of 1.5 percent on every sale. It may be 3 per cent but it used to be 1.5 per cent in 1990.

Taking royalties and commissions on Christian worship is a great sin before Almighty God. It’s stealing from the Holy of Holies- the most sacred place in the universe.

This is why Hillsong needs to be spoken against and brought down. It’s another Great Apostasy of old.

The Great Apostasy of gay-loving Hillsong New York City and Hillsong Los Angeles.

Great Protestant Reformers like Martin Luther has always spoke out against Heresy and Apostasy.

The fact that Hillsong allows gays to gather and fellowship unrepentant at Hillsong New York City and Hillsong Los Angeles is evidence of the Great Apostasy of Hillsong.

I guess they didn’t really stand a chance given their dad, spiritual dad, grandad and spiritual grandad.

There’s a Brian we don’t really know. But it’s a Brian we can see if we look carefully. A soul Brian that craves approval, recognition and significance.

While it’s part of the human condition and make-up to crave significance, as Christians we have to be careful how we find it. If we connect deeply with the Holy Spirit, and allow Him to centre Himself in our lives, we can find significance in doing something fulfilling that He wants us to do.

Carl Lentz, Joel Houston and Ben Houston seek significance and recognition from hanging out with celebrities and being “cool and hip”. Being seen with celebrities, even gay celebrities. Being “Pastors”. Big-noting themselves. “I’m the son of the great Brian Houston”- Joel and Ben Houston. A sickening sense of entitlement and out-of-control egos.

 

Justin Beiber. Unrepentant. Still partying. Making pedophilia comments to 14 year old young teen fans at his concerts.

Carl Lentz, Joel Houston and Ben Houston certainly take risks. Parading to the world Justin Bieber as their star disciple.

I watched on video young frisky errant Justin make a really bad pedophilia comment at a concert recently. It was shown on Fox E-News two weeks ago. He was performing in Toronto, Canada and chatting to himself and to his mainly girl teen audience… Pedophile flirting.

Justin Bieber said, “I see all you young girls here. How old are you? Fourteen mmm. Only four years to go…”

I’m sure young Justin doesn’t let the legal age of consent be a barrier to him.

The trouble with Justin Bieber, Carl Lentz, Joel Houston, Ben Houston, Brian Houston and Bobbie Houston is that they don’t have the Holy Spirit, they aren’t sanctified and dealt with by the Holy Spirit, so the flesh is always going to come out of them.

 

Conclusion

Hillsong is one of many Great Apostasy Churches on the planet which are emerging to fulfil Bible Prophecies.

Lucifer of old is mocking God and taunting mankind by raising up errant flamboyant arrogant Churches like Hillsong, who are so self-assured in their many sins.

But God will have the last say.
