I’ve been contacted by a high up Hillsong insider who believes that Hillsong has gone off the rails and wants to tell his story.
This article is the third in a series of articles publishing the eye-witness testimonies of this Hillsong insider.

In 2005 Hillsong City pastors, Pastor Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren, manhandled and abused a young lady at Hillsong City Church, who was gay. She was told, “your type is not needed here at Hillsong”.
She was sitting on the floor of the Hillsong City Church front foyer, with her back to the wall. This incident took place as the church sermon was going on. Pastor Brian Houston was preaching. It was at the 5pm service.
Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren spoke to her, and in her defence, after being told “a lesbian is gay and not needed here at Hillsong”, they went to grab her and manhandle her to the front door.
The lady at this time was sitting on the floor. As the pastors tried to get hold of her, by extreme rough handling, she said, “Please stop, you are hurting me”.
Pastor Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren were saying, “It’s time to go lady lover”.
She slapped the pastor so hard that the crack was heard inside the auditorium.
The two pastors gave this women no rights of removal under the act, and twisting her limbs behind her back, they pulled her up. She was yelling abuse at the pastors. She was taken outside and then thrown to the ground outside the door. By this stage she was a crying mess and she was bleeding a little. She would have gotten bruising after all this rough handling. I didn’t see her return.
This was one incident where the reports were shredded or never made. This lady was acting in self-defence. Yes the lady was gay, but this was plain bullying and rough handling, whatever you like to call it.
I saw this all happen and did not a thing. I was told by Steve McGhie and Pastor Darren, “It’s not your place, we will handle it”.
The security team can be very rough, and they can be very aggressive, doing pay-back and stuff like that. They can be very aggressive in protecting Hillsong and throwing out dissenters like this poor lesbian who got shown the door. They also spy on people and track them. For example Tanya Levin, the Hillsong watch lady”.

I knew Steve McGhie, who is Brian Houston’s brother-in-law, in the 1990s at Christian Life Centre (CLC), Waterloo. I was there a decade before he turned up in Sydney with his wife Judith, Brian Houston’s youngest sister, from New Zealand.
CLC Waterloo is the second name for Hillsong. The first name was CLC Darlinghurst. I was present at the first two incarnations of Hillsong at Darlinghurst and Waterloo, two inner city suburbs of Sydney.
When I was a lay pastor at CLC Darlinghurst in the 1980s, under my watch, gays and lesbians were welcome at CLC services and at the Inner City home groups, which Pastor Laurie Murphy and I oversaw. The were handled with sensitivity, care and respect. A number of homosexuals came to know the Lord Jesus Christ and forsook their sinful gay lifestyle for something far greater.
I was responsible for ten home groups which Pastor Laurie Murphy and I pioneered throughout the Inner City of Sydney. Hillsong City church is located near home groups I pioneered. Two or three streets away from the current location of Hillsong City church in Waterloo, three home groups I pioneered in the early 1980s were located. Michael Driscoll, a friend of the artist Brett Whiteley, ran one in Regent Street, Robert “Bob” Harris, a published poet who won a National Award, ran another in Baptist Street, and I ran one in Great Buckingham Street.
It was not an issue for homosexuals, drug addicts and Aborigines to attend our home groups. We had plenty of these types of people coming to our numerous home groups, which by 1987 numbered 15 throughout Inner City Sydney.
I had Aboriginals coming to my home group in Great Buckingham Street, Redfern, from nearby, and from ‘The Block’, an Aboriginal slum area, from 1982. In those days things were much rougher than the gentrified conditions of Redfern today. Redfern was challenging, dangerous and rough in those days. In fact, many at CLC Darlinghurst were scared to go south of Cleveland Street. At the time I was praying two hours a day, was very full of the Holy Spirit to overflowing, and had ‘no fear’.
Lesbians and homosexuals were not only welcome at CLC Darlinghurst, unbeknown to us, the greatest homosexual of all was our leader. That is, the famed Pastor Frank Houston, the Great Secret Gay Lord and the founder of Hillsong, and Pastor Brian Houston’s father.
When you think about it, the devil couldn’t have invented a greater pantomime and camp charade than Hillsong Darlinghurst in the 1980s. We had a secret High-Camp Head Priest, Rev William Francis “Frank” Houston, affectionately known as ‘The Bishop’, jumping on seats, throwing glasses of water over the congregation, as what he comically called ‘blessings of the Lord’, while he was secretly homosexually abusing Peter Laughton, his young gullible needy worship leader, with coke bottles and other accessories. Frank Houston, who used to yell and rail against gays as he preached, yet he was the greatest gay of Darlinghurst, the gay capital of the Southern Hemisphere. “Receive the anointing”, he proclaimed as he threw a glass of water across the assembled masses. “Homosexuals must repent of their sins or they will go to hell”, he jumped up on a vacant chair in the congregation and shouted.
Pastor Frank Houston. Hillsong’s founder. Secret High Camp Gay Lord from Hades. Homosexual and lifelong pedophile. Father of five children and many grandchildren. Total moral and sexual deviate and camp con-artist.
In his son Brian, this Great Gay Lord Frank Houston has metamorphosed into a monster from Hades. A Gay-Loving, Gay-lifestyle-tolerating narcissistic High Priest of Note. That is, Pastor Brian Houston, CEO of Hillsong International: Gay Lord of multitudes, even stretching to it’s most openly gay outpost, Hillsong New York City, where for over five years, one of the main worship leaders Josh Canfield, who is openly gay, and who lives with his male partner Reed, has been leading worship in Hillsong NYC services. Although they live together, Josh helpfully points out that their relationship hasn’t yet been consummated, whatever that means.

Pastor Steve McGhie is a New Zealander like me. He’s married to Judith McGhie, Pastor Brian Houston’s sister.
I was informed Pastor Steve and Judith McGhie had gone back to New Zealand, but Pastor Steve’s Facebook page says he still works at Hillsong.
Judith McGhie’s Facebook lists her location as Timbuktu. It may be safer in Timbuktu than in New Zealand, although Ecuador has given Julian Assage, the Wikileaks whistleblower, asylum, so if the NSW Police were potentially interested in Steve and Judith for serious criminal offences, if I was them, I think I’d be looking at moving to South America, or maybe even Siberia, as options.
The NSW Police may be interested in both Pastor Steve McChie, and his wife Judith, because they failed in their duty as Hillsong Church leaders to report a pedophile for five years. That is Judith and Brian Houston’s father, Frank Houston, a secret life-long pedophile, who was found out in 1998/ 1999 and confessed to pedophilia. He admitted to the very minimum and lied through his teeth. Frank Houston flagged that he was a long-time pedophile, but wouldn’t tell much re the details. He never admitted the huge number of boy and teenage male victims or the sordid details of his secret extremely dark, devilish and corrupt secret pedophile and homosexual life.
Along with Pastors Bobbie and Brian Houston, Pastors Judith and Steve McGhie not only didn’t report Frank Houston to the Police, but they sheltered and protected him. These are both serious criminal offences under NSW and Australian Law.
The Australian Royal Commission barrister Simeon Beckett recommended last December that Pastor Brian Houston be criminally charged under NSW Law with not reporting and sheltering a pedophile.

I’m not sure if those who colluded in the not reporting and sheltering Pastor Frank Houston, the founder of Hillsong, are in the sights of the NSW Attorney General’s Department and the NSW Police for the criminal charges of not reporting and sheltering a pedophile.

This incident of roughing up a lesbian and showing her the door is pretty rough Steve. Don’t you think it’s hypocritical that you and the Houstons love Papa Frank, a life-long secret homosexual and pedophile, yet you rough handle a poor defenceless lesbian and throw her out the Hillsong door.

Early Hillsong
I was at CLC Darlinghurst, the second name and second location of Hillsong, from 1981 and knew Jeff Beacham.
Pastor Jeff Beacham formed an end-time prophet style ministry
In the 1990s, Pastor Jeff Beacham formed an end-time prophet style ministry based at Christian Life Centre (CLC) Sydney. Former names: CLC Double Bay, CLC Darlinghurst. Later names: Hillsong City Church, Hillsong City Campus.
Jeff’s ministry was derived from Barry Smith, a self-styled end-time prophet from New Zealand.
Frank on Barry Smith: “Barry Smith fills the church coffers”
Although no intellectual, Barry had devised a complex system of end-time interpretation of the scriptures related to current events. Some people would write off Barry Smith as a misguided mad false prophet. Frank Houston liked Barry and gave him a lot of playing time at CLC Darlinghurst in the early days.
Although Frank liked Barry he secretly thought Barry was a bit of a looney. Frank told me, “Barry is a looney but the people love him. Every time he comes here, he packs in the crowds and fills the church coffers”.
Barry Smith was popular and filled the house at CLC Darlinghurst. Translate “filled the church coffers”. Frank told me Barry’s ability to draw the crowds, and intrinsically the cash, was a plus for Barry, “even if I don’t believe everything he says”.
Impressionable young people believed every word Barry said.
Jeff was greatly influenced by Barry Smith, a fellow New Zealander and similar personality type to Jeff.
Barry died before his time. He was a tall solid man and he liked hamburgers and used to make negative jokes about health foods. He died from a heart attack.
Pastor Jeff Beacham or “Jeff” as he was commonly known, took over from Barry Smith and formulated his own end-time ministry.
In those days, Jeff was a bit of a knock-about man. Like Terry Appel, a bricky who became a pastor at CLC Darlinghurst and operates on the Northern Beaches as a pastor. Terry Appel started ministry as a head deacon at CLC Darlinghurst.
Terry Appel was a kind of spiritual bouncer meets servant of God. Solid and strong but big-hearted behind that rugged exterior and gingery beard.
Similarly Jeff Beacham had a bit of a Sylvester Stallone edge but again he was good-hearted and well-intended.
After his formation of his End-Time ministry, the prophecies hadn’t come to pass as quickly as Jeff had thought, so he decided to focus on the Holy Spirit.
Jeff hooked up with John and Carol Arnott, who were having success in Toronto, Canada and he brought their “Catch the Fire” ministry to CLC at Waterloo, its current location. Its now called Hillsong City Campus.

Jeff Beacham was an astute businessman, but Pastor Frank Houston, that old fox, was far craftier. Jeff was born in the late 1940s but old Frank had been around 28 years longer.
Jeff Beacham had a large family to feed. Five kids. He was serving God, and Jeff is a very genuine guy, but a man’s got to provide for his family.
Jeff told me the following story in about 1998, before the Frank Houston pedophile scandal hit the fan. At the time of the story, Frank was still the great man of God. Highly respected and almost revered.
Jeff had been ripped off by that cunning old fox Frank Houston the first time he brought Catch the Fire to Australia. Jeff’s Ministry was independently incorporated to CLC Waterloo with no legal ties or obligations to CLC. But Jeff made the mistake of not setting up a bank account separate from the treasury of CLC.
The first Catch the Fire made a healthy profit and the profit was, by verbal agreement with Frank, supposed to go to Jeff’s ministry. But CLC were a bit short of cash as always, and Frank took the profit.
Undeterred, Jeff forgave old Frank and decided to stage a second Catch the Fire. This time, remembering his first experience with Frank, he got Frank to sign a contract with the profits going to Jeff’s ministry coffers.
The 2nd Catch the Fire was an even bigger success. It made a profit of $150,000, which was a decent sum in the late 1990s. Still is today.
Cunning old Frank eyed the profit and took it into the CLC coffers. Jeff was very upset about this and shirt-fronted Frank.
Old Frank said to Jeff, “Sorry, we need the cash”.
Jeff replied, “But Frank, you signed a contract”.
To this Frank retorted, “It doesn’t matter. If you don’t like it, sue me then”.
Jeff, who greatly respected Frank, although this respect was being severely tested, decided to forgive him, give it to God and move on. There was nothing that he could do about it.

Frank was a crook of the highest order. This was soon to be revealed when his secret homosexuality and pedophilia was exposed in 1999.
It’s taken another twenty years for everything about Frank Houston and Brian Houston to be exposed to the whole world.

Jeff Beacham died from throat cancer in 2013. He’d been a heavy smoker in the 1960s to 1970s when he was a rock musician in New Zealand.

Please bear in mind that this article was written in 2015 and read the article with this in mind. I wrote in this article of March 1, 2015 that Brian Houston will be charged with concealment of a pedophile. This occurred in 2021.
The Houstons
I started writing about the Houstons in 2012 after my father died. I wrote a series on dad and in the process wrote a blog article comparing my father to Frank Houston. Dad wasn’t perfect but Frank Houston was a nightmare from Hell itself.
After my series on dad, I wrote a 14 part series on Frank, detailing everything I knew about Frank’s pedophilia and other defects. His bad temper, bullying, manipulations, duplicity, arrogance, penchant for axing leaders publicly, secret homosexuality and so on. Most of Frank’s defects are found in his son Brian.
I didn’t know who Frank was in 1976 when I first heard him preach at Wellington Central AOG in New Zealand. There was a Jesus People rally there and Frank was the preacher.
I didn’t meet Brian Houston until 1980. We were young men at early Hillsong then.
Brian was the same as he is now. Pushy, rude, smart-mouthed, narcissistic, entitled and very arrogant. Nothing has changed except he’s fat, an adulterer and an alcoholic, far more narcissistic and arrogant, entitled and smart-mouthed.
Brian publicly called me “a looney” at court when I was videoing him and his group going to and fro court. I was getting under his thin skin. Brian snapped. I wonder how he’ll go in jail?
Brian’s alcoholism
Back in the late 1970s to 1980s, I didn’t drink alcoholic drinks. I was a teetotaller like dad. Frank was a teetotaller too.
Teetotaller is a term from the prohibition era in America in the 1930s to 1950s. A term originating in temperance movements of the 19th century in America and England.
Brian has certainly made up for his father’s abstinence from alcohol. Brian is a fish with booze. So is his sister Maureen. Maureen likes red wine. Older brother Graeme likes beers and whisky. Wife Bobbie likes campers, wines and cocktails. anything really sometimes. Brian and Bobbie are drinking buddies.
People like Brian with addiction issues are better off being teetotallers and abstaining from all alcoholic drinks.

Ian Bilby of the Elim Church in New Zealand is a false apostle, a false evangelist, a false teacher and a false prophet.
This man is another serial adulterer who had affairs with at least 10, and probably 20 women, while he was a married man and a prominent Elim pastor in New Zealand. In fact he was the head of the NZ Elim Church for most of the time he was committing adultery.

I knew Frank Houston from back in New Zealand in 1976. I was 19. Frank was 54. I heard Frank preach at Don Cosby’s AOG church in Central Wellington. New Zealand’s capital and second largest city. Frank was lead pastor at Lower Hutt AOG. Lower Hutt is a suburb of Wellington near the northern shores of Port Nicholson, Wellington’s harbour.
I didn’t speak to Frank in 1976 when I heard him preach. The meeting was a Jesus Movement event. I guess Pastor Don Cosby was trying to reach out to all the young people. Hippies and counter-culture youth.
The next time I heard Frank preach was at Kapiti Christian Centre in 1977. I didn’t speak to him then either. The first time I talked with Frank was in 1980 at Christian Life Centre Darlinghurst in Sydney, Australia. Frank arrived there in 1977. One year after preaching at Kapiti Christian Centre. Frank was on the run from New Zealand police in 1977 when he arrived in Australia.
The Kapiti region is about 40 minutes north of Wellington on the west coast. It is popular with retirees today, as it was fifty years ago.
An older couple at Kapiti Christian Centre were unhappy about Frank preaching there. They expressed their concerns to the lead pastor and founder of Kapiti Christian Centre, Pastor Tom Marshall. The married couple was Stan and Sheila Carter. They were both in their 60s. Stan was a retired plumber. Sheila was a retired AOG missionary. It was Stan’s second marriage. His first wife had passed away. Sheila had spent her whole life in Africa as an AOG missionary and had never married. She told me stories of those times. Stan and Sheila were building a smart new home across the road from Raumati Beach. Stan died from a heart attack after the house was completed. This was after I moved on from that church. Stan and Sheila were living in a caravan and building the house when I knew them. Stan was doing labouring for the brick layer and cleaning up after trades.
Stan and Sheila were very unhappy with Frank. Very angry because of things Frank was accused of doing to boys at Lower Hutt AOG. Stan was a longtime elder there. Stan and Sheila were part of a group who confronted Frank about his behaviour. They wouldn’t tell me what Frank did to the boys. I had no idea it was about having sex with them. I didn’t know people did that until the 1990s. I grew up in a sheltered environment. I’d never heard of child sex. I couldn’t have conceived it. I couldn’t have imagined back then the horrors of pedophilia. Pedophilia wasn’t in the media, wasn’t taught about at schools, wasn’t mentioned by my parents and wasn’t at all in the public consciousness. There was no child protection and child safe programs in schools or anywhere in society. This was the case all over the planet until the 1990s. It took to about 2015 for child safe programs to be widely established in Western society.
It was only in the 1990s when the Sydney Morning Herald and other media started covering Royal Commission investigations in New South Wales and Victoria into abuse of children and teens by Roman Catholic priests that I started to understand this topic.
It’s only in the past 11 years since I started writing on this topic on this site that I gained a fuller understanding of this sad topic.
So Stan and Sheila were angry with Frank about somethings he did to boys at Lower Hutt AOG. But they wouldn’t say what he did. This was the first time I heard that Frank had done something bad to boys. It was only in 2012 when I started to write on this topic on this blog-site that I joined the dots and realised what Frank had been up to with boys at Lower Hutt AOG. And elsewhere, all over the planet.

Please bear in mind that my knowledge of some things like the number of Frank’s boy victims was less than what I know today. And that 2015 was a year after Brian Houston and top Hillsong and top AOG leaders appeared at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in October 2014.

The most prominent and famous leader in Australian and New Zealand Assemblies of God circles in the past 50 years without doubt was Pastor Frank Houston, the founder of Hillsong Church based in Sydney, Australia.
The Australian Assemblies of God is now called the Australian Christian Churches.
Pastor Frank Houston founded the Hillsong movement in Sydney in 1977. It was called Christian Life Centre in those days.
Frank Houston died in Sydney in November 2004 at the age of 82.
Frank Houston was the 8th General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in New Zealand from December 1965 to June 1977, eleven and a half years.
He was preceded by R R Read and succeeded by Jim Williams.
William Francis “Frank” Houston was born on 22 April 1922 in Whanganui, New Zealand. He died on 8 November 2004, Sydney, Australia.
Frank Houston commenced ministry training as a Salvation Army officer shortly after turning 18.
He married Hazel and they had five children.
The couple transferred their allegiance to the Baptist church, and later to the Assemblies of God in New Zealand.
Houston initially attended the Ellerslie Assembly in 1960, but later transferred to the Lower Hutt Assemblies of God. Then he moved to Sydney and founded Christian Life Centre which later changed its name to Hillsong Church, which his son Brian is now running.
Now Frank Houston is famous for all the wrong reasons and is an albatross around his son Brian’s neck.
Cunning deviant old Frank Houston would have known full well that Brian was going to be the fall guy for his sins.
Frank Houston’s pedophilia
I have established beyond doubt that Rev William Francis “Frank Houston” committed pedophile acts on young boys mainly aged 7 to 12, homosexual abuse acts on older teen males, and masked homosexual acts on males over 18, throughout his whole life-time.
There are possibly over 200 boy victims who will be aged in their 50s and 60s now. Maybe some older too.
I have established evidence of pedophile activity from 1960, when Frank Houston was 38 years old, to 1975, when he was 53 years old.
Then he abused Peter Lawton his young worship leader who was in his early 20s in the early 1980s when he was pastoring Christian Life Centre Sydney and becoming prominent in Australia. Frank Houston was in his 60s at the time.
It is understood that the old guard of the Pentecostal movement in Australia didn’t want him in Australia. It is thought they were tipped off by their New Zealand counterparts about the 6 Lower Hutt boys who were abused in the 1960s by Frank Houston at Lower Hutt AOG.
I was a leading lay pastor and builder at Christian Life Centre in Darlinghurst through most of the 1980s. Frank Houston was so cunning at concealing his pedophilia that I didn’t find him out, even though I knew allegations since the late 1970s.
Why I ever got associated with the Houston’s I don’t know. Maybe it was for such a time as this.
Although he fathered five children, Frank Houston was not sexually interested in women.
I have verified 14 mainly boy victims of Frank Houston. There are more if you count low level and masked homosexual abuse.
There are articles on this site about these sad events, including the stories of four boy victims, one in Auckland, New Zealand, who suicided after Frank Houston interfered with him. Extremely sad, tragic and culpable.
I sense that there were over 200 boy victims. If one includes the older male victims and masked homosexual contacts there could be over a thousand.
Even Frank Houston’s son Brian, of Hillsong fame, said to the Australian media after the recent Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse the following.
When asked how many victims there were he replied, “We may never know how many”.
Well, I’m giving the count a try.
None of the six Lower Hutt victims from the 1960s have contacted me to share their stories. It would help greatly if they did.

Paul de Jong of Life Church, Auckland, had Frank Houston’s corrupt hands on his head untold times from when he was a little boy at Lower Hutt AOG to when he left Hillsong in the 1990s to found a Hillsong type church in Auckland, New Zealand.
Frank Houston imparted unclean counterfeit spiritual energy into him including demons, from his pedophile hands and body.
Frank Houston regarded Paul de Jong as a favourite spiritual son. He was always prophesying great things over him.
Paul de Jong needs massive deliverance from the soil and demons Frank Houston has cast on his soul.
Robert Ferguson
Robert Ferguson, the long-time back-up man at Hillsong Church, an elder and a senior pastor, was brought over from England by Frank Houston.
Similarly Frank Houston laid his pedophile hands on him and prophesied over him many times.
I think Robert has essentially a good heart from my few dealings with him, which were a long time ago.
Like Paul de Jong and everyone else who was under Frank’s leadership and got laying on of hands and prophecies from Frank Houston, they all need massive deliverance from the soil and demons Frank Houston has cast on their souls.
Joel A’Bell
Same for Joel A’Bell, although he is more Brian Houston’s spiritual son.
I remember Joel A’Bell from the 1990s when he was just a young man trying real hard as a youth pastor at City Hillsong.
I noticed he was Brian’s companion at the Royal Commission.
I’ve watched one Hillsong service ever on-line and that was in October after the Royal Commission.
Joel A’Bell led the service, his wife, who he repeatedly complimented and called his best friend, which is nice, took the offering talk and Brian Houston preached.

It’s all Mother Mary idols, idols of departed saints, Roman Catholic deceptions, icons and blasphemies poured into a broth of counterfeit Holy Spirit and poured on mankind.
At the meeting I sensed clouds of demons whirling through the spiritual realm and clouds of Roman Catholic darkness.
At this meeting a lady came over to me with really weird eyes and wanted to pray for me. I said no. But she insisted. I said, and I was only 19, “Back off lady, you’re not praying for me”.
The lady with the occult eyes was very offended. But I didn’t care. It was her or me, and unlike Bobbie Houston, I didn’t want what she’s having.
Even at the tender age of 19 I could see the demons riding on her soul.

At the Royal Commission into the Mt Erebus crash, New Zealand’s worst airline disaster in 1989, the New Zealand Royal Commissioner Justice Peter McMahon in tabling his submissions on the Mt Erebus crash called Air New Zealand’s cover ups after the crash, “an orchestrated litany of lies”.
Air New Zealand Flight TE-901,was a scheduled Air New Zealand Antarctic sightseeing flight that operated between 1977 and 1979. The flight left Auckland Airport in the morning and spent a few hours flying over the Antarctic continent, before returning to Auckland in the evening via Christchurch.
On 28 November 1979, the fourteenth flight of TE-901, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, collided with Mount Erebus on Ross Island, Antarctica, killing all 237 passengers and 20 crew on board.
The accident is commonly known as the Mount Erebus disaster.
The initial investigation concluded the accident was caused by pilot error but public outcry led to the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the crash.
The Commission, presided over by Justice Peter Mahon, concluded that the accident was caused by a correction made to the coordinates of the flight path the night before the disaster, coupled with a failure to inform the flight crew of the change, with the result that the aircraft, instead of being directed by computer down McMurdo Sound (as the crew assumed), was re-routed into the path of Mount Erebus.
In Justice Mahon’s report, he accused Air New Zealand of presenting ‘an orchestrated litany of lies’ and this charge in the end led to changes in senior management at the airline. The accident remains New Zealand’s deadliest peacetime disaster.
At the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Sydney last October it seemed like Brian, his associate pastors and George had got together and agreed on a plan about what to say at the Commission.
It seemed like ‘an orchestrated litany of lies’.
Unfortunately Brian couldn’t remember the script and got badly lost in the witness seat.
I am ashamed to say that I am from the same country as Frank Houston, New Zealand.
I am not ashamed of New Zealand which is the home to the Mighty All Black rugby team.
The All Blacks had better stop leaving their winning ways until the last minute or they’ll be choking again. England is going to be hard to beat at home.
The All Blacks need more mongrel up front in the pack to counter the English cockney mongrel forwards.

I know of no more corrupt Pentecostal pastor since the blessed day of Pentecost than this errant devil pastor Frank Houston.
Not only was this man Frank Houston a New Zealander, even worse he was born in the same city as me, Whanganui.
Whanganui is a former port town lying sleepily on the banks of the Whanganui River. It’s a pretty nondescript town. It’s not as though you’d drive out of your way to visit there. The ski fields at Mount Ruapehu to the north hold far more attraction. Lost a few friends there. There’s always something amazing in a town that one hasn’t heard of. I don’t think Frank Houston would be honoured with the keys of the city.
There is a long list of Assemblies of God pastors in Australia and New Zealand who have been found to be morally and spiritually corrupt.
In the 1970s there were two Assemblies of God pastors in New Zealand vying for prominence. One was Frank Houston in the south of the North Island in Lower Hutt, part of Greater Wellington, New Zealand’s capital.
In the more prosperous and developing north in Auckland was Pastor Neville Johnson.
Frank Houston, although a secret pedophile from at least 1960, and probably 1940 or earlier, all through the 1960s and 1970s he was abusing little boys. Victim AHA who testified at the Royal Commission was horribly abused for five long years from the late 1960s to the early 1970s at his home in Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia from the tender age of a mere 7 years old to 12 years old. Victim SA1 my code name) at an AOG camp in Cuddly Creek, Adelaide at the Klemzig AOG camp located there. The abuse occurred in the bunk-room and showers. SA1 says other boys were abused there. I’d like to hear from them and any other victims anywhere in the world.
At least 6 boys aged about 10 were sexually abused by Frank Houston while he was head pastor at Lower Hutt AOG in the 1960s.
Frank Houston abused boy victim WNZ1 at a bible study in his parents home a few times. Frank Houston pretended to go to the toilet and sneaked in to WNZ1’s bedroom and abused him.
In fact, Frank Houston was so into pedophilia at this period, so rampant, that he commented to his son Brian, “yes I was very active at the time”. Meaning active as a pedophile in the era he abused AHA. My research verifies that the 1960s to 1970s, when Frank was in his 40s to 50s, was his most active period as a pedophile.
This may have been related to availability and confidence.

Early Hillsong
I was at CLC Darlinghurst, the second name and second location of Hillsong, from 1981 and knew Jeff Beacham.
Pastor Jeff Beacham formed an end-time prophet style ministry
In the 1990s, Pastor Jeff Beacham formed an end-time prophet style ministry based at Christian Life Centre (CLC) Sydney. Former names: CLC Double Bay, CLC Darlinghurst. Later names: Hillsong City Church, Hillsong City Campus.
Jeff’s ministry was derived from Barry Smith, a self-styled end-time prophet from New Zealand.
Frank on Barry Smith: “Barry Smith fills the church coffers”
Although no intellectual, Barry had devised a complex system of end-time interpretation of the scriptures related to current events. Some people would write off Barry Smith as a misguided mad false prophet. Frank Houston liked Barry and gave him a lot of playing time at CLC Darlinghurst in the early days.
Although Frank liked Barry he secretly thought Barry was a bit of a looney. Frank told me, “Barry is a looney but the people love him. Every time he comes here, he packs in the crowds and fills the church coffers”.
Barry Smith was popular and filled the house at CLC Darlinghurst. Translate “filled the church coffers”. Frank told me Barry’s ability to draw the crowds, and intrinsically the cash, was a plus for Barry, “even if I don’t believe everything he says”.
Impressionable young people believed every word Barry said.
Jeff was greatly influenced by Barry Smith, a fellow New Zealander and similar personality type to Jeff.
Barry died before his time. He was a tall solid man and he liked hamburgers and used to make negative jokes about health foods. He died from a heart attack.
Pastor Jeff Beacham or “Jeff” as he was commonly known, took over from Barry Smith and formulated his own end-time ministry.
In those days, Jeff was a bit of a knock-about man. Like Terry Appel, a bricky who became a pastor at CLC Darlinghurst and operates on the Northern Beaches as a pastor. Terry Appel started ministry as a head deacon at CLC Darlinghurst.
Terry Appel was a kind of spiritual bouncer meets servant of God. Solid and strong but big-hearted behind that rugged exterior and gingery beard.
Similarly Jeff Beacham had a bit of a Sylvester Stallone edge but again he was good-hearted and well-intended.
After his formation of his End-Time ministry, the prophecies hadn’t come to pass as quickly as Jeff had thought, so he decided to focus on the Holy Spirit.
Jeff hooked up with John and Carol Arnott, who were having success in Toronto, Canada and he brought their “Catch the Fire” ministry to CLC at Waterloo, its current location. Its now called Hillsong City Campus.

Jeff Beacham was an astute businessman, but Pastor Frank Houston, that old fox, was far craftier. Jeff was born in the late 1940s but old Frank had been around 28 years longer.
Jeff Beacham had a large family to feed. Five kids. He was serving God, and Jeff is a very genuine guy, but a man’s got to provide for his family.
Jeff told me the following story in about 1998, before the Frank Houston pedophile scandal hit the fan. At the time of the story, Frank was still the great man of God. Highly respected and almost revered.
Jeff had been ripped off by that cunning old fox Frank Houston the first time he brought Catch the Fire to Australia. Jeff’s Ministry was independently incorporated to CLC Waterloo with no legal ties or obligations to CLC. But Jeff made the mistake of not setting up a bank account separate from the treasury of CLC.
The first Catch the Fire made a healthy profit and the profit was, by verbal agreement with Frank, supposed to go to Jeff’s ministry. But CLC were a bit short of cash as always, and Frank took the profit.
Undeterred, Jeff forgave old Frank and decided to stage a second Catch the Fire. This time, remembering his first experience with Frank, he got Frank to sign a contract with the profits going to Jeff’s ministry coffers.
The 2nd Catch the Fire was an even bigger success. It made a profit of $150,000, which was a decent sum in the late 1990s. Still is today.
Cunning old Frank eyed the profit and took it into the CLC coffers. Jeff was very upset about this and shirt-fronted Frank.
Old Frank said to Jeff, “Sorry, we need the cash”.
Jeff replied, “But Frank, you signed a contract”.
To this Frank retorted, “It doesn’t matter. If you don’t like it, sue me then”.
Jeff, who greatly respected Frank, although this respect was being severely tested, decided to forgive him, give it to God and move on. There was nothing that he could do about it.

Frank was a crook of the highest order. This was soon to be revealed when his secret homosexuality and pedophilia was exposed in 1999.
It’s taken another twenty years for everything about Frank Houston and Brian Houston to be exposed to the whole world.

Jeff Beacham died from throat cancer in 2013. He’d been a heavy smoker in the 1960s to 1970s when he was a rock musician in New Zealand.
Pastor Brian Houston has grown rich on Hillsong music royalties and from other church income sources such as “Love Offerings”, which can amount to hundreds of thousands each time Brian preaches or teaches at an American mega-church.
Brian needs to acknowledge, help and make large pay-outs to victims of his father’s abuse.
Brian should pay a net one million Australian dollar payout to each victim of his father’s abuse.
Hillsong have the means, they should do it.

I have been writing on this site about Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston’s concealment of his father Pastor Frank Houston and Frank’s sexual abuse of hundreds, if not thousands of boy victims for over 60 years since 2012.
At the time I wrote the article below, I knew of 10 boy sex abuse victims of Frank Houston plus his worship leader at early Hillsong Peter Laughton with whom Frank had a secret homosexual affair. This was in 1980 to 1984.
My current count of known Frank boy victims is at least 17 although it is now impossible to arrive at a figure. I’m now thinking hundreds, if not thousands, maybe over 2000 boy victims.

The Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse is about to turn its attention to Pastor Frank Houston, the Hillsong Organisation and the Australian Christian Churches, another name for the Australian Assemblies of God Churches.
Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston, its head pastor and the successor to his father Frank Houston, Hillsong’s founder, constantly takes the position that Pastor Frank Houston committed a sole act of pedophilia on a boy in Lower Hutt New Zealand forty years ago. This is the official Hillsong stance.
In numerous blog articles on this site I’ve described in detail how this statement is not only not true but a lie, spin and a complete cover-up.
Pastor Frank Houston had a sexual taste for young men and boys. His orientation was for young males. Ten year olds, teens and vulnerable young men in their early twenties.
Please bear in mind that Pastor Frank Houston was the most senior Assemblies of God (AOG) pastor in New Zealand in the late 1960s and 1970s and in Australia in the 1980s and 1990s. He was revered as the god-father and founder of Hillsong and the most senior figure in the Pentecostal movement in Australia and New Zealand for three plus decades.
All this time Pastor Frank Houston was committing pedophile and homosexual acts against young male victims.
I have sympathy for his son Pastor Brian Houston, in the sense that I know him and have spent time with him in the 1980s. I fitted out Brian’s first office in Baulkham Hills Shopping Centre in 1983 and Brian took me to his first home, a humble small dwelling in a street of better larger houses. I knew Brian before he became a pastor in the early 1980s. I have watched his progress over the decades.
I can understand Brian’s desire to paint his dad in a better light. I can understand his unwillingness, even denial, about the truth.
Brian has said that he didn’t know about Pastor Frank Houston’s abuse of his young worship leader Peter Laughton, in the early 1980s. But Brian knows now.
Pastor Frank Houston invited Peter Laughton, his young worship leader, to be a boarder, with him and his wife Hazel, in the peaceful environment of their church-funded Lane Cove Apartment, overlooking the Lane Cove River. Frank said he would mentor him. Frank, who was 58, proceeded to seduce and molest Peter and molest him repeatedly. Google “Peter Laughton abuse” or “Frank Houston abuse” for the sordid details Peter shared with the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007.
The reality is that Pastor Frank Houston abused many more children, adolescents and vulnerable young men than the one Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston claim.
Here is the list of victims I know about which I’ve listed in chronological order.
They total 11 or more victims.
I suspect there are more. A lot more.

There are people alive today in New Zealand who would know the facts. There was an investigation and a big fall-out. It’s time the full truth came out and was acknowledged and owned by the Houston family.
It’s time Hillsong and Pastor Brian Houston took responsibility for Pastor Frank Houston’s actions and took the following actions:
1. Locate and made a full acknowledgment and apology to all the victims.
2. Pay for professional counselling, for as long as they require it, for all victims. The counsellor to be a counsellor of the victims choice.
3. Pay a net one million Australian dollar payout to each victim of his father’s abuse.
Pastor Brian Houston, and his family and others, have enriched themselves on the back of Hillsong’s success.
I’m particularly concerned about individuals taking of royalties from the sale of Hillsong albums, which has been going on for decades. This is in reality stealing from God. Pastor Brian Houston, his family and others have no right to do this. If we do stuff for God and in the name of God, then we shouldn’t steal money from it. It’s wrong in the sight of God.
There is so much wrong at Hillsong and the acknowledgement, help and payment of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile and homosexual victims is just one of many things that should be set right at Hillsong.
Acknowledging and helping victims of Pastor Frank Houston’s pedophile acts would be a good start.
Pastor Brian Houston has grown rich on Hillsong music royalties and from other church income sources such as “Love Offerings”, which can amount to hundreds of thousands each time Brian preaches or teaches at an American mega-church.

“Pastor” Frank Houston was a pedophile who used Christian ministry as a cloak, disguise and instrument to access little boys and young males.
Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Frank thought it was the perfect disguise to access his prey. This is a common tactic of pedophiles.
Frank Houston groomed good, trusting, wholesome New Zealand and Australian Christian families, then secretly accessed, assaulted and sexually abused their innocent, young boys.
Frank Houston’s preferred pedophile victims were little boys and young males. So by clinical psychological definition he was a pedophile. A pedophile sexually abuses children aged under 13, even babies.
In his criminal pedophile mind, Frank Houston calculated that being a Christian pastor provided the safest and easiest access to innocent little Christian boys.
Innocent little boys and young males were the object of his evil pedophile desires.
Christian ministry provided ongoing access to children, with the least chance of being caught out.
The pedophile mind works like this.
A pedophile’s primary motivation and satisfaction in life is to try to satisfy his, or her, insatiable inner sexual lusts for children and minors.

Frank Houston selected a vocation in Christian ministry because he thought that Christian ministry is the best and the safest occupation and profession in which to operate as a pedophile and not be caught and sent to jail or worse.
Nobody, especially in the more innocent pre-1990s, would have expected Frank Houston to be a secret hardened evil pedophile.
It is very unlikely Frank would have gotten away with this type of behaviour today.
I write “innocent” because in the 1940s to 1970s, when Frank Houston was very active as a pedophile, there wasn’t the societal consciousness, or the educational and social awareness, about child sexual abuse that there is today.
Nor were there child protections such as police clearances, as common procedural practice, prior to people being employed in fields where children could easily be accessed and sexually abused.
And even today, after all the scandals of the past 25 years in all Christian denominations, Christian pastors, except Roman Catholic priests, are still some of the most trusted people in society.

At heart a pedophile is a coward who will scurry away into a dark corner if they feel they may be found out.
A pedophile also has a large range of ploys and strategies to keep their victims quiet, ranging from threats of violence to statements like what boy victim AHA said Frank Houston said it him.
One of the things Frank Houston said to boy victim AHA was “Even if you tell people, they won’t believe you because I’m a famous evangelist. Who would they believe? You or me?”.
This is the criminal mind of a pedophile talking. They’re talking from within their den or nest which has layers and layers of well-thought-out decoys, shields, cob-webs and protections.
The Western Australian slang word for pedophiles is “Rock Spider”.

The reason for the name “Rock Spider” is that pedophiles like little kids cracks. Many pedophiles do lots of darker things than to touch children. Pedophiles are child rapists and amongst the worst human beings ever on the planet.
That’s why pedophiles are at the bottom of the jail hierarchy and inmates persecute and torment them. Even felons know that pedophiles are the low of the low.
By 1965, Frank Houston was way too far into his cover as a Christian pastor to change his cover and disguise.
From the 1940s, Frank Houston had embarked on a really dark and demonic series of extremely serious assaults on little boys and male teens.
In rapid succession in the 1940s to 1970s, the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused over 400 little boys and young teens. Maybe over 1000. Maybe 2000 plus.
This is a projection of mine based on an enormous body of evidence I’ve collected on Frank Houston. Everything is published on this site except private conversations, mainly by email, with various victims, their supporters and others. But there is little I know that will help the reader understand Frank Houston, Brian Houston and the Hillsong organisation that I haven’t shared on this site.
The known victims of this out-of-control pedophile spree conducted by the pedophile Frank Houston in the 1940s to 1970s included at least 17 known boys aged 7 to 12. In reality hundreds, if not thousands of little boys
There were at least six known boy victims when Frank was pastor at Lower Hutt AOG.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused WNZ1 (my code name), now known to be Brett Sengstock.
Frank Houston sexually abused at least two other boys at a home bible group he was leading in another Wellington suburb.
The Bible study was being held in WNZ1’s parent’s home. David Cowdrey has recently gone public saying he’s that boy victim. The boys were aged about 11. He snuck down the corridor into WNZ1’s bedroom, pretending be going to use the bathroom, and sexually abused him in his childhood bed.
In 1971 and 1972, Frank Houston sexually abused SA1 (my code name) and at least two to three other little boys at Klemzeig Assemblies of God (AoG) Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek near Adelaide South Australia.
SA1 wrote in his statement to the Australian Royal Commission into Child Abuse that the epicentre of the sexual abuse of little boys was the male toilet block. I organised SA1 to contact them. He contacted me in 2012.
SA1 saw Frank Houston come out of a toilet block with another boy. Frank Houston had his trousers open and had an erection.
It is likely that there were numerous little boys sexually abused by Frank Houston at these AOG Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek in 1971 and 1972.
In the early 1970s, Frank sexually abused teen ANZ1 (my code name) at a hotel room in Auckland, New Zealand. He lured him there on the pretext of helping ANZ1 with some problems. Then he sexually abused him. ANZ1 later suicided because of the negative impact of this sexual abuse by the pedophile Frank Houston on his life.
In the 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused Peter Fowler who was aged 15, while head pastor at Lower Hutt AOG and head of the New Zealand AOG. This abuse occurred in a motel room. I don’t know how he got Peter there. Frank would have thought of a way to lure him there.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused Royal Commission boy victim AHA (Brett Sengstock) at Brett’s parent’s apartment in Coogee Beach Sydney. Frank was an honoured guest of Brett’ss parents. A famous evangelist who they felt privileged to host.

These are only the victims we know about. The tip of the iceberg.
From Frank Houston’s known assaults and behaviour, I believe there are a lot more victims. Probably over 400. Maybe over 1000. May 2000 plus. Plus there are thousands of victims of masked homosexual and masked pedophile behaviour by Frank Houston.
Even the pedophile Frank Houston himself said to his son Brian, after he admitted in 1999 to having committed pedophile crimes, “I was very active at the time”. He was referring to the 1960s and 1970s.
Very active. How active? We may never know.
As Pastor Brian Houston said to the Sydney media, after he appeared at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, “We may never know the number of victims”.
The average pedophile abuses 250 children in their lifetime. Staggering. Sad. Extremely sick.
By 1965, the pedophile Frank Houston, who was using the Christian ministry as a cloak for his pedophile activities, was now way too far in to go back. Frank had to continue his pretence and act as a Christian pastor until the bitter end.
By 1977, when Frank moved his family to Sydney, Australia from Wellington, New Zealand, he was a criminal pedophile on the run.
In Sydney, Frank shared with everyone that God gave him a vision of the souls of Sydney like wheat-fields swaying in the breeze ripe for harvest. The souls of men waiting for the Christian evangelist Frank Houston.
It wasn’t the souls of men he had in mind. I believe by conjecture that his purpose for going to Sydney was four-fold.
Firstly to escape the heat of protests to police about his pedophilia attacks on little boys and young males in New Zealand in the 1960s and 1970s.
Secondly, Frank chose Darlinghurst because he thought he’d fit in well there unnoticed amongst all the gays and deviancy there.
Thirdly, Frank knew that in Darlinghurst he could visit gay brothels where young males were available, When he couldn’t find fresh victims. I’m truly sorry to put it this way but lesbians and homosexuals have a term for it: “fresh meat”. In fact, to many homosexuals and lesbians, it’s the thrill of the chase and the challenge of initiating the uninitiated, that really turns them on.
Many heterosexual males also enjoy “the thrill of the chase”. This is a sad aspect of the fallen human condition.
The fourth reason Frank chose Darlinghurst was because he was already under attack from the conservative and wise Australian Assemblies of God establishment who’d heard Frank Houston had committed pedophile offences in New Zealand from the Executive of the New Zealand AOG and they didn’t want a deviate pedophile pastor in their midst. So they excluded him.
Undeterred the criminal pedophile Frank Houston chose a Sydney suburb where there was no AOG Church. Frank distanced himself from his attackers and accused them of being territorial and jealous. I heard him talk like this in the 1980s at CLC Darlinghurst about the AOG establishment in Australia.
In fact, in the pedophile Frank Houston’s territory anyone who questioned him about his authority and leadership, and especially about pedophile allegations, was swiftly and aggressively shown the door.
This modus operandi had been adopted throughout his life by his son Pastor Brian Houston. Any dissenters at Hillsong are quickly shown the door. At Hillsong there’s an “Us and Them” mentality, which is a very immature psychological paradigm to conduct life.
By 1980, Frank Houston was now under incredible attack. The prophet Pastor Philip Powell was out to expose the pedophile Frank Houston to the world. He’d been hounding him since the late 1970s. In the 1980s he really turned up the temperature of his attacks.
The pedophile Frank Houston’s response was to go all out and build as big a defence fortress as possible.
Frank decided “to grow” Christian Life Centre (CLC) Darlinghurst into a mega-church.
The pedophile Frank Houston shared with the congregation at CLC Darlinghurst that he had a vision for over 100 churches, all connected to CLC Darlinghurst.
He went all out to raise up as many young men as possible as preachers and evangelists. Frank knew that the more young men who believed in him, the more they’d defend him. And this was the case.

Protected his dad from criminal charges and prison. Recently charges with criminal pedophile protection charges as recommended by the Australian Royal Commission for not concealing a pedophile. That is, his old, extremely corrupt dad, the criminal pedophile Frank Houston.

Paul and Maree de Jong. Head pastors of Life Church Auckland. Paul was one of the pedophile Frank Houston’s favourite “Bishop’s Boys”. I’m not implying Paul was sexually abused by Frank Houston. I’m not aware of anyone else in leadership at CLC Darlinghurst who was sexually abused by the pedophile and homosexual Frank Houston apart from Peter Laughton. Dave Sayers was homosexually abused by Frank Houston in two incidents.

That is a full-on large Christian organisation within which he could hide, defend himself in, and still continue his homosexual pedophile past-times. This is the origins of Hillsong Global Church. The founder, a lifelong secret pedophile on the run from New Zealand police, coming to Australia to escape and building a major Christian church as a defence mechanism to avoid arrest.
Building Hillsong Church was a Rock Spider pedophile ploy by Frank Houston to build as large a defensive nest as possible for his own protection.
A pedophile is the ultimate pathological narcissist, who will only act for himself. He has no genuine feelings for other people. No genuine feelings for his own family. No genuine feelings for his sons. No genuine feelings for his daughters. No genuine feelings for his faithful and trusting wife.
We can see how Frank Houston’s seed or spawn, so-called “Pastor” Brian Houston, is similarly pathological in his scorn for mankind.
A mark of a Christian pastor is that he’ll help the victims of this life- the downtrodden and dispossessed of the earth.
Hillsong do this in limited ways to make themselves look good and worthy, but, as I have shown many times, Hillsong church is just a cash-cow for the Houstons, their off-spring and the Hillsong pastors to milk. A Christian pyramid scheme whereby the currency is cash and the souls of men are traded with abandon and without control.
Hillsong, the juggernaut that the pedophile Frank Houston created when he birthed Hillsong, in liaison with Lucifer, is getting more and more out-of-control each day.
One day it will fall apart and collapse.
In fact, both Satan and Frank Houston want it to.
The more carnage and destruction of human souls, the better.

At this time a number of Frank Houston boy victims contacted me.
The article below is an introduction to a new Frank boy victim who contacted me then. I gave him the code-name WNZ1. At that time he was very shy about his identity and very much trying to come to terms with what Frank did to him.
Recently WNZ1 has revealed himself to the world as David Cowdrey from New Zealand.
I’ve been in touch with David Cowdrey by email for seven years since then. I gave David a voice to tell his story of what Frank Houston did to him as an 8 year old boy. He was lying in bed when Frank Houston, a respected AOG evangelist, sexually abused him.
David Cowdrey has only vague memories of what happened and how often. It’s likely David was sexually abused far more and far more deeply than he can remember.

A bit about me…I went to Teachers College from 72-74 (attending Varsity part time) before Teaching for a year and a half then living a hippie lifestyle.
AB and I hung around Wellington together in the 70’s, walking the fine line between sin, repentance and sainthood. I’m afraid sex and drugs got the better of me for a time. I also hung around up at Kapiti during the late ‘70s with AB. He was (edit) a very close friend.
Here is my story.
I discovered your blog earlier this year when working through childhood trauma with my counsellor. It was very helpful in providing background to my journey, enabling me to finally admit to myself that Frank was my abuser.
I’m 60 years old and the impact of the abuse involving Frank in my life has been significant. Despite appearing to be a successful corporate manager, I couldn’t sustain the facade. Inside I lived with fear, mistrust, anger and shame. I was depressed, lonely and isolated.
I sought comfort from my pain in unhelpful ways, compulsively pursuing and becoming involved in one relationship after another, sometimes having more than one sexual or emotional liaison at a time. I lived my life in compartments and feeling completely shut off from myself, God, my family and friends.
My broken life is testimony to the selfish acts of the sicko creep Frank Houston on an innocent boy.
From the age of five into my teens I attended Lower Hutt AOG with my family.
My encounter with Frank was when I was 8 years old.
My family lived in a Wellington suburb and my parents held a Saturday night prayer meeting which folk from Lower Hutt AOG attended.
Frank attended a few times and it was during these visits that the abuse occurred.
When I read of AHA’s experience in the Commission’s transcript, the details in the description brought everything back. I finally knew deep within me the true horror of what had happened all those years ago.
I recall feeling the weight of Frank on me, the breath in my face and my genitals being fondled.
I was completely paralysed with fear.
I could not speak. I was totally bewildered as to what was going on.
I remember this happening 2 or 3 times.
I tried to explain to my parents what had happened to me. I did not have the words to explain it.
They thought it was a nightmare. I knew differently.
I named this thing ‘the black shadow’.
I took a piece of wood to bed with me every night so I could defend myself or knock on the wall to alert my parents.
The problem was that when ‘the black shadow’ entered my room I was so fearful I could do nothing.
The incidents were not prolonged (although at the time the groping seemed to go on forever!).
I have come to realise that Frank would have excused himself to ‘use the bathroom’ and took a detour via my bedroom on the way.
I believe these incidents would have occurred more if my family hadn’t moved to Lower Hutt in 1962.
The prayer meetings were then held at the church and I don’t recall Frank visiting my home again.
I recently asked my father about the ‘incident’ with Peter Fowler in Lower Hutt where Frank had been accused of abuse. He said it was beyond his comprehension that Frank could have been guilty. He thought at that time, in his naivety that it was an ‘attack of the devil’. He was partly right – the devil was Frank!
A ‘minor’ incident occurred at lunch at the Houston’s when I was a pubescent boy. Frank pressed his leg into mine and had his hand on my thigh. I recall feeling extremely uncomfortable. Frank abused the trust of his children by abusing their friends. How depraved is that?
Another significant event in my life involving Frank occurred in 1969 when I was 15. I was sitting down the back of the church with Brian and Graeme Houston and some of the other youth at a Sunday night service.
We were chatting away during the sermon and Frank came all the way down the centre aisle from the pulpit and yelled at me to stand up. He then yelled at me “You fool!” and then turned to the congregation and continued saying “Fools like you are tools of Satan! I curse you!” He was in an absolute rage.
I still feel the pain and shame of that moment now – 45 years later. Not only was Frank a pervert he was a bully! All my life, from this moment forward I was filled with anxiety and unable to be direct with anyone in authority for fear of being shamed and/or humiliated.
Then the Jesus Hippie thing came along with lots of hugging. Frank would seek out young men to embrace. It was creepy. I still remember him pushing his crotch into me as we embraced in ‘brotherly love’!
Frank the Paedophile was a liar, full of cunning and deceit.
He was a very scary controlling man.
I am sure there are many more victims out there – both children and young adult. I suspect a number of people I knew in my teens and early twenties were victims of Frank.
My wife emailed Brian Houston in 2009 when I uncovered and told her of my abuse. He responded in a supportive way stating he had no knowledge of the abuse but that I was welcome to contact him to discuss it. I have not taken him up on his offer.
I have been granted long-term counselling stemming in part from my childhood abuse experience. I also attend a 12 Step programme which is helping repair my brokeness. I am lucky I have a supportive wife and family which I nearly lost.
I turned away from God for a long time. I am slowly learning to trust God with my life.
I remain angry about what Frank did. I still struggle to find a place of forgiveness in my heart for him.
Maybe Frank didn’t have this verse in his Bible…

“Pastor” Frank Houston was a pedophile who used Christian ministry as a cloak, disguise and instrument to access little boys and young males.
Like a wolf in sheep’s clothing, Frank thought it was the perfect disguise to access his prey. This is a common tactic of pedophiles.
Frank Houston groomed good, trusting, wholesome New Zealand and Australian Christian families, then secretly accessed, assaulted and sexually abused their innocent, young boys.
Frank Houston’s preferred pedophile victims were little boys and young males. So by clinical psychological definition he was a pedophile. A pedophile sexually abuses children aged under 13, even babies.
In his criminal pedophile mind, Frank Houston calculated that being a Christian pastor provided the safest and easiest access to innocent little Christian boys.
Innocent little boys and young males were the object of his evil pedophile desires.
Christian ministry provided ongoing access to children, with the least chance of being caught out.
The pedophile mind works like this.
A pedophile’s primary motivation and satisfaction in life is to try to satisfy his, or her, insatiable inner sexual lusts for children and minors.

Frank Houston selected a vocation in Christian ministry because he thought that Christian ministry is the best and the safest occupation and profession in which to operate as a pedophile and not be caught and sent to jail or worse.
Nobody, especially in the more innocent pre-1990s, would have expected Frank Houston to be a secret hardened evil pedophile.
It is very unlikely Frank would have gotten away with this type of behaviour today.
I write “innocent” because in the 1940s to 1970s, when Frank Houston was very active as a pedophile, there wasn’t the societal consciousness, or the educational and social awareness, about child sexual abuse that there is today.
Nor were there child protections such as police clearances, as common procedural practice, prior to people being employed in fields where children could easily be accessed and sexually abused.
And even today, after all the scandals of the past 25 years in all Christian denominations, Christian pastors, except Roman Catholic priests, are still some of the most trusted people in society.
Could a better foil or cover for a pedophile be found than that of a Christian pastor in the 1940s when Frank Houston trained as a Salvation Army Captain at the age of 18?

Could a better foil or cover for a pedophile be found than that of an Assemblies of God pastor in the 1950s to 1970s in New Zealand when Frank Houston was a leading Assemblies of God pastor aged in his 30s, 40s and 50s?
Frank was head of the New Zealand AOG from 1965 to 1977.
Could a better foil or cover for a pedophile be found than that of an Australian AOG pastor in the 1980s when Frank Houston was a Sydney Pentecostal evangelist and leading pastor aged in his 60s?
At heart a pedophile is a coward who will scurry away into a dark corner if they feel they may be found out.
A pedophile also has a large range of ploys and strategies to keep their victims quiet, ranging from threats of violence to statements like what boy victim AHA said Frank Houston said it him.
One of the things Frank Houston said to boy victim AHA was “Even if you tell people, they won’t believe you because I’m a famous evangelist. Who would they believe? You or me?”.
This is the criminal mind of a pedophile talking. They’re talking from within their den or nest which has layers and layers of well thought out decoys, shields, cob-webs and protection.
The Western Australian slang word for pedophiles is rock spider.

The reason for the name rock-spider is that pedophiles like little kids cracks. Many pedophiles do lots of darker things than to touch children. Pedophiles are child rapists and amongst the worst human beings ever on the planet.
That’s why pedophiles are at the bottom of the jail hierarchy and inmates persecute and torment them. Even felons know that pedophiles are the low of the low.
By 1965, Frank Houston was way too far into his cover as a Christian pastor to change his cover and disguise.
From the 1940s, Frank Houston had embarked on a really dark and demonic series of very serious assaults on little boys and teen males.
In rapid succession in the 1940s to 1970s, the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused over 400 little boys and young teens. Maybe over 1000. Maybe 2000 plus.
This is a projection of mine based on an enormous body of evidence I’ve collected on Frank Houston. Everything is published on this site except private conversations, mainly by email, with various victims, their supporters and others. But there is little I know that will help the reader understand Frank Houston, Brian Houston and the Hillsong organisation that I haven’t shared on this site.
The known victims of this out-of-control pedophile spree conducted by the pedophile Frank Houston in the 1940s to 1970s included at least 17 boys aged 7 to 12.
There were at least six known boy victims when Frank was pastor at Lower Hutt AOG.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused WNZ1 (my code name) and he sexually abused at least two other boys at a home bible group he was leading in another Wellington suburb.
The Bible study was being held in WNZ1’s parent’s home. The boys were aged about 11. He snuck down the corridor into WNZ1’s bedroom, pretending be going to use the bathroom, and sexually abused him in his childhood bed.
In 1971 and 1972, the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused SA1 (my code name) and at least two to three other little boys at Klemzeig Assemblies of God (AoG) Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek near Adelaide South Australia.
SA1 wrote in his statement to the Australian Royal Commission into Child Abuse that the epicentre of the sexual abuse of little boys was the male toilet block.
SA1 saw the pedophile Frank Houston come out of the toilet block with another boy. The pedophile Frank Houston had an erection.
It is possible there were numerous little boys sexually abused by Frank Houston at these AOG Youth Camps at Cudlee Creek in 1971 and 1972.
In the early 1970s, Frank sexually abused teen ANZ1 (my code name) at a hotel room in Auckland, New Zealand. He lured him there on the pretext of helping ANZ1 with some problems. Then he sexually abused him. ANZ1 later suicided because of the negative impact of this sexual abuse by the pedophile Frank Houston on his life.
In the 1970s, Frank Houston sexually abused Peter Fowler who was aged 15, while head pastor at Lower Hutt AOG and head of the New Zealand AOG. This abuse occurred in a motel room. I don’t know how he got Peter there. Frank would have thought of a way to lure him there.
In the late 1960s and early 1970s the pedophile Frank Houston sexually abused Royal Commission boy victim AHA (Brett Sengstock) at Brett’s parent’s apartment in Coogee Beach Sydney. Frank was an honoured guest of Brett’ss parents. A famous evangelist who they felt privileged to host.

These are only the victims we know about. The tip of the iceberg. From Frank Houston’s known assaults and behaviour, I believe there are a lot more victims. Probably over 400. Maybe over 1000. May 200 plus. Plus there are thousands of victims of masked homosexual and masked pedophile behaviour by the pedophile and homosexual Frank Houston.
Even the pedophile Frank Houston himself said to his son Brian, after he admitted in 1999 to having committed pedophile crimes, “I was very active at the time”. He was referring to the 1960s and 1970s.
Very active. How active? We may never know.
As Pastor Brian Houston said to the Sydney media, after he appeared at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, “We may never know the number of victims”.
The average pedophile abuses 250 children in their lifetime. Staggering. Sad. Extremely sick.
By 1965, the pedophile Frank Houston, who was using the Christian ministry as a cloak for his pedophile activities, was now way too far in to go back. Frank had to continue his pretence and act as a Christian pastor until the bitter end.
By 1977, when Frank moved his family to Sydney, Australia from Wellington, New Zealand, he was a criminal pedophile on the run.
In Sydney, Frank shared with everyone that God gave him a vision of the souls of Sydney like wheat-fields swaying in the breeze ripe for harvest. The souls of men waiting for the Christian evangelist Frank Houston.
It wasn’t the souls of men he had in mind. I believe by conjecture that his purpose for going to Sydney was four-fold.
Firstly to escape the heat of protests to police about his pedophilia attacks on little boys and young males in New Zealand in the 1960s and 1970s.
Secondly, Frank chose Darlinghurst because he thought he’d fit in well there unnoticed amongst all the gays and deviancy there.
Thirdly, Frank knew that in Darlinghurst he could visit gay brothels where young males were available, When he couldn’t find fresh victims. I’m truly sorry to put it this way but lesbians and homosexuals have a term for it: “fresh meat”. In fact, to many homosexuals and lesbians, it’s the thrill of the chase and the challenge of initiating the uninitiated, that really turns them on.
Many heterosexual males also enjoy “the thrill of the chase”. This is a sad aspect of the fallen human condition.
The fourth reason Frank chose Darlinghurst was because he was already under attack from the conservative and wise Australian Assemblies of God establishment who’d heard Frank Houston had committed pedophile offences in New Zealand from the Executive of the New Zealand AOG and they didn’t want a deviate pedophile pastor in their midst. So they excluded him.
Undeterred the criminal pedophile Frank Houston chose a Sydney suburb where there was no AOG Church. Frank distanced himself from his attackers and accused them of being territorial and jealous. I heard him talk like this in the 1980s at CLC Darlinghurst about the AOG establishment in Australia.
In fact, in the pedophile Frank Houston’s territory anyone who questioned him about his authority and leadership, and especially about pedophile allegation, was swiftly and aggressively shown the door.
This modus operandi had been adopted throughout his life by his son Pastor Brian Houston. Any dissenters at Hillsong are quickly shown the door. At Hillsong there’s an “Us and them” mentality, which is a very immature psychological attitude to have in life.
By 1980, Frank Houston was now under incredible attack. The prophet Pastor Philip Powell was out to expose the pedophile Frank Houston to the world. He’d been hounding him since the late 1970s. In the 1980s he really turned up the temperature of his attacks.
The pedophile Frank Houston’s response was to go all out and build as big a defence fortress as possible.
Frank decided “to grow” Christian Life Centre (CLC) Darlinghurst into a mega-church.
The pedophile Frank Houston shared with the congregation at CLC Darlinghurst that he had a vision for over 100 churches, all connected to CLC Darlinghurst.
He went all out to raise up as many young men as possible as preachers and evangelists. Frank knew that the more young men who believed in him, the more they’d defend him. And this was the case.

Paul and Maree de Jong. Head pastors of Life Church Auckland. Paul was one of the pedophile Frank Houston’s favourite “Bishop’s Boys”. I’m not implying Paul was sexually abused by Frank Houston. I’m not aware of anyone else in leadership at CLC Darlinghurst who was sexually abused by the pedophile and homosexual Frank Houston apart from Peter Laughton. Dave Sayers and I were homosexually abused by Frank Houston in a low-level way in two separate incidents, but it was still ugly and still criminal assault and criminal abuse.

The creation of a religious monster:
Out of hatred for humanity, hatred of himself and hatred towards Almighty God, the pedophile Frank Houston decided to go all out and create a monster, a ghoulish organisation from hell, a machination of satanic majesty, to torment and harass mankind. That is a full-on large Christian organisation within which he could hide, defend himself in, and still continue his homosexual pedophile past-times.
This was also a rock-spider pedophile ploy to build as large a defensive nest as possible for his own protection.
A pedophile is the ultimate pathological narcissist, who will only act for himself. He has no genuine feelings for other people. No genuine feelings for his own family. No genuine feelings for his sons. No genuine feelings for his daughters. No genuine feelings for his faithful and trusting wife.
We can see how Frank Houston’s seed or spawn, so-called “Pastor” Brian Houston, is similarly pathological in his scorn for mankind.
A mark of a Christian pastor is that he’ll help the victims of life, the downtrodden and dispossessed of the earth.
Hillsong do this in limited ways to make themselves look good and worthy, but, as I have shown many times, Hillsong church is just a cash-cow for the Houstons, their off-spring and the Hillsong pastors to milk. A Christian pyramid scheme whereby the currency is cash and the souls of men are traded with abandon and without control.
In fact the juggernaut the pedophile Frank Houston created when he birthed Hillsong, in liaison with Lucifer, is getting more and more out-of-control each day.
One day it will fall apart and collapse.
In fact both Satan and Frank Houston want it to.
The more carnage and destruction of human souls, the better.

The most prominent and famous leader in Australian and New Zealand Assemblies of God circles in the 50 years from 1960 to 2010. was without doubt Brian Houston’s father, Frank Houston. Frank Houston was the founder of Hillsong Church based in Sydney, Australia in 1977.
The Australian Assemblies of God is now called the Australian Christian Churches.
Pastor Frank Houston founded the Hillsong movement in Double Bay, Sydney in 1977. It was called Eastern Suburbs Christian Life Centre in those days.

I have established beyond doubt that Rev William Francis “Frank Houston” committed pedophile acts on young boys mainly aged 7 to 12, homosexual abuse acts on older teen males, and masked homosexual acts on males over 18, throughout his whole life-time.
There are probably over 400 boy victims who will be aged in their 50s and 60s now. Maybe some older too.
I have established evidence of pedophile activity from the 1940s, when Frank Houston was in his 20s, to 1975, when he was 53 years old.
After relocating from Lower Hutt, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia he sexually abused Peter Lawton his young worship leader at Christian Life Centre, by then based in Darlinghurts. Frank who was in his late 50s in the early 1980s when he was pastoring Christian Life Centre Sydney and becoming prominent in Australia.
It is understood that the old guard of the Pentecostal movement in Australia didn’t want him in Australia. It is thought they were tipped off by their New Zealand counterparts about the six Lower Hutt boys who were abused in the 1960s by Frank Houston at Lower Hutt AOG.
I was a leading lay pastor and builder at Christian Life Centre in Darlinghurst through most of the 1980s. Frank Houston was so cunning at concealing his pedophilia that I didn’t find him out, even though I knew allegations since the late 1970s.
Why I ever got associated with the Houston’s I don’t know. Maybe it was for such a time as this.

Although he fathered five children, Frank Houston was not sexually interested in women.
I have verified 17 mainly boy victims of Frank Houston. 15 boys and two male teens.
There are articles on this site about these sad events, including the stories of four boy victims, one in Auckland, New Zealand, who suicided after Frank Houston interfered with him.
I believe from the known evidence that there were over 400 boy victims. If one includes the older male victims and masked homosexual contacts there could be over a thousand.
Even Frank Houston’s son Brian, of Hillsong fame, said to the Australian media after the recent Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in October 2014 the following.
When asked how many victims of his father there were he replied, “We may never know how many”.

Frank Houston regarded Paul de Jong as a favourite spiritual son. He was always prophesying great things over him.

Robert Ferguson, the long-time back-up man at Hillsong Church, an elder and a senior pastor, was brought over from England by Frank Houston.
Similarly Frank Houston laid his pedophile hands on him and prophesied over him many times.
Like Paul de Jong and everyone else who was under Frank’s leadership and got laying on of hands and prophecies from Frank Houston, they all need massive deliverance from the soil and demons Frank Houston has cast on their souls.

I never let Frank lay hands on me. I was never sure about Frank Houston after I heard in 1977 that he’d molested the six Lower Hutt AOG boys in the 1960s and there was a pay-out.
I don’t let anyone lay hands on me. In the late 1970s the Holy Spirit showed me to be very careful spiritually.
Once and only once, I went to a Roman Catholic Charismatic meeting. I was sceptical about the Church of Rome and its infiltration of the Charismatic Renewal. I’m sorry folks but please put the Roman Catholic Charismatic Movement in the Cult and Deception Bin. It’s all mother mary idols, idols of departed saints, Roman Catholic deceptions, icons and blasphemies poured into a broth of counterfeit Holy Spirit and poured on mankind. At the meeting I sensed clouds of demons whirling through the spiritual realm and clouds of Roman Catholic darkness.
At this meeting a lady came over to me with really weird eyes and wanted to pray for me. I said no. But she insisted. I said, and I was only 19, “Back off lady, you’re not praying for me”.
The lady with the occult eyes was very offended. But I didn’t care. It was her or me, and unlike Bobby Houston, I didn’t want what she’s having.
Even at the tender age of 19 I could see the demons riding on her soul.

At the Royal Commission into the Mt Erebus crash, New Zealand’s worst airline disaster in 1989, the New Zealand Royal Commissioner Justice Peter McMahon in tabling his submissions on the Mt Erebus crash called Air New Zealand’s cover ups after the crash, “an orchestrated litany of lies”.
Air New Zealand Flight TE-901, was a scheduled Air New Zealand Antarctic sightseeing flight that operated between 1977 and 1979. The flight left Auckland Airport in the morning and spent a few hours flying over the Antarctic continent, before returning to Auckland in the evening via Christchurch.
On 28 November 1979, the fourteenth flight of TE-901, a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30, collided with Mount Erebus on Ross Island, Antarctica, killing all 237 passengers and 20 crew on board.
The accident is commonly known as the Mount Erebus disaster.
The initial investigation concluded the accident was caused by pilot error but public outcry led to the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the crash.
The Commission, presided over by Justice Peter Mahon, concluded that the accident was caused by a correction made to the coordinates of the flight path the night before the disaster, coupled with a failure to inform the flight crew of the change, with the result that the aircraft, instead of being directed by computer down McMurdo Sound (as the crew assumed), was re-routed into the path of Mount Erebus.
In Justice Mahon’s report, he accused Air New Zealand of presenting ‘an orchestrated litany of lies’ and this charge in the end led to changes in senior management at the airline. The accident remains New Zealand’s deadliest peacetime disaster.
At the Australian Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Sydney last October it seemed like Brian, his associate pastors and George had got together and agreed on a plan about what to say at the Commission.
It seemed like ‘an orchestrated litany of lies’.
Unfortunately Brian couldn’t remember the script and got badly lost in the witness seat.
I am ashamed to say that I am from the same country as Frank Houston, New Zealand.
New Zealand is a sincere country, a generally moral country and a hard-working country. It was when I lived there 40 to 64 years ago.
Yet from the verdant soil of this country of 40 million sheep and 4 million humans of many types and colours, although it was mainly White Europeans and Maori in the 1920s to 1960s, came an errant corrupt pedophile who decided in his 20s to use the woolly disguise of a minister of the holy gospel to fulfil his lusts and desires.
The Houston dynasty of devils through the laying on of hands on other subservient ministries has spawned a cart-load of monkey pastors. Spiritually corrupt pastors such as the world hasn’t seen, or at least not seen often.
I know of no more corrupt Pentecostal pastor since the blessed day of Pentecost than this errant devil pastor Frank Houston.
Not only was this man Frank Houston a New Zealander, even worse he was born in the same city as me, Whanganui.
Whanganui is a former port town lying sleepily on the banks of the Whanganui River. It’s a pretty nondescript town. It’s not as though you’d drive out of your way to visit there. The ski fields at Mount Ruapehu to the north hold far more attraction. Lost a few friends there. There’s always something amazing in a town that one hasn’t heard of. I don’t think Frank Houston would be honoured with the keys of the city.
There is a long list of Assemblies of God pastors in Australia and New Zealand who have been found to be morally and spiritually corrupt.
In the 1970s there were two Assemblies of God pastors in New Zealand vying for prominence. One was Frank Houston in the south of the North Island in Lower Hutt, part of Greater Wellington, New Zealand’s capital.
In the more prosperous and developing north in Auckland was Pastor Neville Johnson.
Frank Houston, although a secret pedophile from at least 1960, and probably 1940 or earlier, all through the 1960s and 1970s he was abusing little boys. Victim AHA who testified at the Royal Commission was horribly abused for five long years from the late 1960s to the early 1970s at his home in Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia from the tender age of a mere 7 years old to 12 years old. Victim SA1 my code name) at an AOG camp in Cuddly Creek, Adelaide at the Klemzig AOG camp located there. The abuse occurred in the bunk-room and showers. SA1 says other boys were abused there. I’d like to hear from them and any other victims anywhere in the world.
At least 6 boys aged about 10 were sexually abused by Frank Houston while he was head pastor at Lower Hutt AOG in the 1960s.
Frank Houston abused boy victim WNZ1 at a bible study in his parents home a few times. Frank Houston pretended to go to the toilet and sneaked in to WNZ1’s bedroom and abused him.
In fact, Frank Houston was so into pedophilia at this period, so rampant, that he commented to his son Brian, “yes I was very active at the time”. Meaning active as a pedophile in the era he abused AHA. My research verifies that the 1960s to 1970s, when Frank was in his 40s to 50s, was his most active period as a peophile.
This may have been related to availability and confidence.
